Listening/Speaking is a course that can have conversations with native language students. There are different types of modes that this course use to promote us to communicate with others and share their cultures in every week. For me who don't clear understand American culture, this the class give me a way to explore America cultures. Fortunately, I chose this course and have opportunity can talk with American. I also recommend all the younger brothers and sisters that If you have the opportunity, don’t just consider the credits, which you want to have. You can find several courses to learn about the United States, Local culture and local customs. In this course, basically, the instructor will personally lead the students to communicate. When you have different problems, the professor is also happy to explain and will extend more sources to let us know the origin of those cultures. And professor gives us extra activities to go out of campus and teach those things which close with our life. This course is like an activity which can let people present what we know. Such as our own cultures and customs. In this course, I have learned several cultures from different countries. However, this is course might don’t have any credit we can get in TKU. But this still is a good experience during my abroad time. I suggest you if you have enough credits, you should pick this course.(240字)

(三)生活環境

The campus greening is very good, especially the main roads are almost all green and oily, and they all have their own characteristics. In terms of accommodation, I chose the apartment I was looking for outside the school, but according to my friends, the school dormitory provides comprehensive functions. The only pity is that every time you encounter a long vacation of more than a month, your packages cannot be stored in the dormitory. The temperature is different between morning and evening which is extremely different. There had bad weather this year, so the temperature and the sun are not perfect, but as the locals said, the climate and weather used to be very comfortable. Near the school, there have restaurants in the business district, which can be reached within an hour by car. If you don't like to eat any food outside, there are large supermarkets near the school that can buy whatever you need to cook. There has high frequency of bus schedule near campus, so it is very convenient that you can go everywhere. Especially, Long Beach Sates University provides student tap card which can let you take bus for free in Long beach. It’s very useful. The most excited thing is there having a gym on campus if you can study official course in university that you can use gym for free. The fee of gym is including in your tuition. In the gym, it has many exercises tool you can use. For instance, heavy training, Yoga class, and tennis court so on. If you don’t use those, you will regret for sure. (269字)

(四)自我成長

The problem at the very beginning of California is nothing more than fear thing which you don't know. All the things, that have not been tried, are considered for a long time before we make an action. The most typical thing is how to politely ask people. Next, to plan of time is also a difficult thing, in my case, I am used to cooking for my every meal, so plan the whole time which should include rest time, studying time, exercise time. The most shocking culture in the United States is because our own stereotype. The American culture does not really say that it is different with us. The reason is different lifestyles in different environments. If you can forget fear and to push yourself to try it that is the best Way to solve it. However, the most important thing is be safe when you try to try everything. One thing I want to remind you is when you drive car and stop by police, don’t go out of car without any permission. This is very serious thing in the Unite Sates. If you are not live in school dormitory, you should remember to take your apartment picture before you move in. You have evidences can prove it when your furniture has damage and the damage not caused by you. You should remember not to make noise when the time is late because American isn’t like Taiwanese people have patients. They usually just call police to handle, and if you guys serious bother lots of people sleeping then you will get ticket. (266字)

(五)大三出國建議

Teachers and parents always tell us that we should pay attention to be safe when we go out. This is not unreasonable. You can only be helped by yourself or by your friends when you go out. The one way to prevent risk is you should guess all the things you might need in the future before going abroad. It is very important, especially the medicine series. The medical fee is very expensive if you don’t have any health insurance in the Unite State. Otherwise, having daily exercise is good for you when you are studying abroad, especially the California has very nice weather can let you go out. Leaving far away of home, I suggest you take a step back as you can which can avoid the argument between everyone you might meet. When you arrive in California, you can experience things that Taiwan can't experience. You should try more. Like the beaches on Long Beach, you can watch the sunset and have camp fire to barbecue on beach. These experiences will become very beautiful memories. Everyone should go outside if your conditions are fine, don't give up on any of your days and hide at home. California is a very great place that you can just spend few hours to different states. Such as you can go Las Vagas on the weekend and come back to study on time. (232字)
