I really enjoyed studying at Temple University, they have various of courses, very diverse, and also a very good environment for learning. According to all the courses I took for both semesters, if I have to choose one that I like the most, it's probably Hip Hop and Black Culture. Hip Hop music is always one of my favorite taste of music of all time, Drake, Tyga, Migos and Post Malone are my favorite artists, I listen to Hip Hop music almost every moment, no matter i am studying or doing exercises, it always keep me in good mood. Furthermore, I have some black friends, I took this course in order to get to know more about their culture and history. This course is mainly discussing about the evolution of Hio Hop music and black people's history, it's very interesting to know that where Hip Hop music was from, who's the first ever Hip Hop artist, the first ever Hip Hop song, the process of evolution, history, and how does it related to the Hip Hop music nowadays, I've learned a lot during this semester, I felt like if you like something, you can not just like it in general, but also to know it's background no matter the history or the other information. Our professor, Timothy, his a very nice person, a singer and a lawyer, he does rap music in leisure time so he sometimes performs in the class to entertain us, sometimes he will invite people from this area to do a little speech for us in order to let us know what they are doing, to understand this industry. All in all, I highly recommend those who's coming to Temple next year to take this course if you do like Hip Hop music or interest in black culture like I did, this course will definitely blow up your mind and broaden your horizon.(317字)

Temple University (Temple or TU) is a state-related research university located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. It was founded in 1884 by the Baptist minister Russell Conwell. Events for students and the public include concerts, performances, clubs, exhibits and lectures. The campus has notable landmarks which have accrued over its history. O'Connor Plaza surrounds the Founder's Garden between Polett Walk and Liacouras Walk. The bronze statue of an owl, the university's mascot, is a popular photo spot at the heart of main campus. The main campus is in North Philadelphia, about 1.5 miles north of Center City which is very convenient, you can get to center city for like about 15 minutes by public transportation or car. The campus occupies 118 acres, it's not a huge campus, it's kind of integrated into the city, there's no really a main entrance, so pretty much if you see a red flag with a big T on it, there's where the campus is. There's an estimated 40,000 students in Temple, included graduates and undergraduates, some of them live on campus or near the campus, there's a couple on campus dormitories near it and also a lot of off-campus housing. Me personally live in an off-campus apartment which is 10 minutes walk from the campus. Temple is very close to center city, theres a lot of nice restaurants and stores, a chinatown where you can get authentic asian food, and also a lot of museums, historical buildings where you can visit on weekends. The weather in Philly is tricky, in summer it can get really hot like nearly 30c, but in winter it can also get really cold like -20c plus the snow which is terrible, so get prepared before coming to Philly. I really like the environment and surroundings here in Philly, and I believe those who's coming next year will like it as well! (305字)

(四)自我成長

I didn't really have culture shock or adjustment problem during my exchange year in Temple since I have done three times exchange programs in three different countries before, USA, Germany and Mexico. plus I've visited the states 6 times before I came here so adapting american culture and environment are not a big deal for me. However, I would say that if you knew that you are going to another country to study or work, getting to know their language and culture a little bit before going is necessary, it's always better than being in an unfamiliar place without knowing anything. Moreover, you have to get prepared to experience some unusual things that you would never seen in your hometown but its normal in the other country, but as time goes by you will get used to it. As for studying in the US, the atmosphere is completely different, for example like students here are more independent, responsible and really care about their schoolwork, in the classroom you can see students wearing whatever they like, flip flops, pj's or even some weird clothes, but people don't really care or judge you not even professors, they only care about your abilities what you are able to do or what you can really do, that's how things work here. (五)大三出國建議

For those who's participating the study abroad exchange program, no matter you are going to the USA or any other countries, maintain a positive attitude is necessary, not only being willing to learn but also to experience new things, but most importantly, you have to step out your comfort zone in order to accept new things not just living in your own world doing things you already know or you already can do it well, that's not gonna make any progress. Try to do something that you could not experience in Taiwan, for example, travel as much as you can, the USA is a huge land with a lot of national parks and nice places that's worth to visit, do some travel in your spare time if you can. Also in school, take some courses that you would not be able to take in Taiwan, there's plenty of options, they are all useful for your future, instead taking all those courses you already learn or similar stuff that you know. All in all, make full use of this opportunity, to learn, to explore, broaden your horizon and enrich your life experiences, just do it and keep in mind, nothing is impossible.(201字)
