(二)課程學習

On the first day of class in the UK, I was not very familiar with the school environment and the class process. Fortunately, a professional tutor has adjusted the schedule for us and patiently explained the content of the course with us and proposed relevant courses. Among them, the most impressive course is the introduction of media and culture . The lesson of this class is to have an hour speech lecture first, and then we need to go to another classroom and classmates can have a deeply discussion of the lectures in the previous class and to help you better understand the lectures. The teacher said that if we have any questions, we can ask her and then she will explain to us in class.I think this is a very good way of study for me.I can clarify the concept of the course and discuss with classmates in class is quite interesting. There is another thing in this class that I really like is that the teacher puts the lectures on the online teaching platform so that we can preview and prepare for the next lesson. Babara, the teacher of this course is my favorite teacher. Every class she will prepare some snacks for each student and then sit down together during classes to make it easier to discuss. The teacher is very kind and humorous, and she tried so hard and patiently to encourage foreign students and every student to speak in class. I was very shy at first, because I was not used to a class like this way of teaching, but the teacher's kindness made me open my mind. I think it was the best course that I have taken here. I learned a lot from this course and I also make good friends. (299字)

(三)生活環境

The University of Sunderland is a university located in the northeast of England. There are two campuses in Sunderland, the city campus and the st.peter campus. The former campus is primarily a school for design and technology and most of the Lanyang students' classes are mainly at the st.peter campus. There is a service center in the school that can handle students' various official duties and then have school cafeteria which is quite convenient. The equipment in Sunderland is very new and advanced especially in the library. We need to go the library quite often cause we need to collect the information before working on the assignment. So, the equipment in library make me feel great. And, there are two libraries in The University of Sunderland. The place we live is close to the city campus, but we can take the bus number 700 or 701 every day to school with a student ID card for free and 15 minutes to the school. There is a large shopping mall in the centre of Sunderland called Bridge, which can solve the daily needs of foods and clothing. The Sunderland subway station is also very convenient to walk, it will not be too far from the residential area. If you are bored, you can go to Newcastle, the largest city nearby or go to the towns of Durham or York. The weather here is very freezing and windy which required to bring a warm coat, and even it will probably snow in winter from December to January and February. (256字)

(四)自我成長

The biggest difficulty in living here is probably to adapt to the weather here. The weather in the UK is very variable, for example the weather in the morning is sunny and warm but it may turn cloudy or rainy in the afternoon.Therefore, I should always remember to bring an umbrella when going out . Sunderland is a small town near the sea , the strong wind here is very uncomfortable. Because of the bad weather, I rarely go out at night. In addition, the UK stores are closed earlier than in Taiwan, and they are closed at 5 pm on Sundays. There’s one thing I can’t tolerance is that there are full of drunk people on the street in Friday night! Unlike Taiwan’s night market or we can have late night foods at midnight, there are few food choices here so cooking at home is also a pleasure here and cooking skill become better here a lot! In addition, I noticed that the problem of racism in the northeastern United Kingdom is very bad, especially for young children to sneak at the Asian people. But in addition to impolite people, British people are considered friendly and polite. The difficulty encountered in class is teamwork! Foreign college students' attitudes toward homework are very inefficient, and they often have to be delayed until the last week, and they are very self-conscious and communication is really different from Asians. Therefore, I need to try very hard to communicate with them about our assignment cause I always want to finish all my assignments before spring break . (264字)

(五)大三出國建議

In this year, I found that many things in foreign countries are not as convenience as Taiwan. Therefore, remember to bring everything. Otherwise, it is necessary to ask the family to send it but should pay an additional fee. So far only one time I had a serious cold. The cold made me vomit and diarrhea and had a fever. Fortunately, the medicines were prepared well before going abroad. Therefore, the medicine should be prepared well. Because you will need a doctor's certificate for taking medicine here, and it is said that you should wait for a long time to see a doctor. The important is, be sure to cherish the time spent here going out and have fun, and make more friends with different people. Because the year is really short, after three months, I will find that the time flies fast, and I will find out how there are still many things I want to try but I can't finish. For example, when I was about to return to China, I began to cherish every moment. It was like a beautiful dream here,I make many new friends here, and i found that the way they think and the way they enjoy life is so different with me. It was a very special memories for me .There is one thing that I should remind you. There are many theft in abroad, once you go to a foreign place or especially a famous tourists spot, you need to be careful about your personal belongings and security is the most important thing that you need to remember . (267字)
