(二)課程學習

It's actually really hard for me to choose one course I like the most because I love all the courses I've taken during my exchange year. One of the courses I've taken in the first semester is photography, I love taking pictures as a way of keeping memories because photographs are things that would last forever. Before I took this course, I've never use a camera before and I was really afraid I couldn't keep up because my classmates all seem to be really skilled. Every week we'll have to turn in photographs and it's not just taking photographs randomly, our professor would decide a topic each week and every photograph has a different title. I also had to do a great amount of reading each week and be tested once a week. I spent a lot of time taking photographs, choosing photographs, editing, and mounting it on the board, it became my weekly routine and even though it made me really tired but I sure learnt a lot from it. I learnt how to see things differently and notice the things that most people wouldn't pay attention to. It took a lot of hard works but it all become worthwhile when I got compliments on photo critics. One of the best things I've experienced in this course is to shoot with professional fashion photographer, it was for my final project and it's one of the best experience I've ever had in my entire life. At the end of the semester, we had an exhibition where we can invite our friends and family to come, though my family could be here but I'm sure they would be so proud of me. I've met a lot of great people because of this course, and also got to explore the city I'm living in and those memories will live with me forever. (I don't have any photos in class because we weren't allowed to use cellphone in class.)(326字)

(三)生活環境

I live off-campus but the neighborhood has everything I need, it's only 5 to 10 minutes walk to school but it took about 15 minutes for me to walk to class because most of the classes I took is on the other side of the campus. There's grocery store and pharmacy nearby, and a lot of places where I could eat. Walking distance to subway and train station, and it's only five stops to center city. Temple is a really beautiful school, the buildings are modern and pretty. They're opening the new library this summer and I really wish I could study in the new library because it looks so great just seeing it under constructions I knew it's gonna look amazing when it opens. The Bell Tower is in the center of the campus, it's where everyone hang out when the sun comes out. I love to sit on the grass when the weather is nice, sometimes there'll have people playing music or dancing and I love that atmosphere. If I study in the library at night and worry if it's safe to walk back home, I could just call the flight which is the shuttle bus provided for Temple student and it's free. I took flights when I'm still at school at late night or when the weather is bad and it's really convenient. The weather in Philly is ever-changing, the wind in winter would give you headache and sometimes I felt like it's hard to breathe because the wind is too strong. Even though sometimes the weather is really driving me crazy but the longer I live in this city, the more I love it.(275字)

(四)自我成長

Everything is tough at first. I always felt like I'm really good at living with stress, but I remember the very first week when the school started I was totally stressed out. There's so much work to do and I was really afraid that I couldn't keep up, but as time went by I got used to it and handled it a lot better than the beginning. I always found a purpose to make myself keep going, sometimes it's travel or friends coming to visit. I would know that after I worked hard and made it then I could go travel and have fun, rest and restore. Another way to overcome the difficulties at school is when I felt like my hard works paid off and which happened almost every time I put efforts in it. When I saw myself doing better than native students, that feeling of accomplishments is so worthwhile. You just got to believe that everything will get better, then it surely will. Having friends who support you is also a good way to make all those problems seem to be less important, or talk to someone who understand you and will help you find a solution to what you're facing. Constantly remind myself that no matter how hard it gets, everything will be alright. If I need some time to rest then just take some time, and try not to be so hard on myself because I have to know that I've doing great so far.(250字)

(五)大三出國建議

Know what you want, and go for it. If your credits are enough that you don't have to worry about if you'll be able to graduate on time, then take the courses you like instead of thinking if the course could transfer credits in Taiwan. Because there's a lot of things that you don't have the chance to learn in Taiwan, but you'll be able to learn it well here at Temple. However, don't ever think that it's easy to study abroad or get good grades because you need to work hard first. Everyone I've met here, they fight for what they want and some of them need to work and study at the same time but they could still do great at school and I'm impressed by those people. Be openminded and don't be afraid to talk to people, most people are really nice and if you have any problems they're willing to help you out. Go travel and explore different cities, you may not have the chance to visit so many different places in a year after you graduate and start to work. Don't judge yourself too much if you're feeling down because you need to know that study abroad is not easy but you're already on the road, it's not like what people see on social media where people always traveling, partying and having fun. You have to know what you want and how you want to spend this year, then go for it and make the days count. Leave no regrets. (255字)
