I had six courses in this year. I think the most interest course is impact of festival and event. The teacher is nice and patient in this lecture. This course introduces different kind of festival and events. Understanding of the impacts of festival and events upon natural systems and local communities and society and festival in economic development. Teacher also took us to have a field trip. In that field trip, we visited the place that hold different kinds of events in Sunderland. In this course, I can explore the impacts of events and festivals upon natural systems, local, regional and national economics and upon local communities and society, together with management principles and mitigating strategies. They associated with economic. There are many people in this course. We had a presentation in this semester. Therefore, we needed to discuss with another classmate. We come from different countries. I think it was a challenge to me, but I learned a lot in this year. Not only in the lecture but also in my study abroad life. Global tourism is also my favorite course in last semester. This course introduced the varied geographical and socio-economic characteristics of tourism destination, an insight into impacts of tourism upon society and the natural world. The teacher was kind in this course. He cared about us, because we are foreigner. The most different learning style between UK and Taiwan is we need to hand two 1500 words essays in last semester. I was shocked when I know we need to write 1500 words essays at the first time. I never wrote 1500 words in Taiwan. It absolutely was a big challenge to me. In this year, l learned different teaching style between UK and Taiwan. The teacher attach importance to teamwork in UK, but Taiwan’s teaching style prefer individual. (301字)

(三)生活環境

University of Sunderland has two campuses. One is city campus, another is st. peter campus. They are not really big campus. They are associated with a bridge and can take 700 bus to different campus. I usually went to st.peter campus. Most of my courses were in there. It is a beautiful campus and there sometimes there have some boats because Sunderland city is near the sea. For the traffic part, I think it is convenient. There have metro and bus in this city. It is easy to go to Newcastle. Just need to take 30 mins by metro. We always went to Newcastle in weekend. There have many delicious restaurants and china town. It also a good shopping centre. We always bought many clothes and cosmetic in there. I think the food is not really delicious in UK, so I cooked by myself. My cooking skill improve a lot in this year. For accommodation part, I lived with my friends together. Our house is near city campus, metro and bus station. It was really convenient. I also have two Portuguese roommates. We had five people live in this house. Our house keeper is a nice British person. He helped us to solve the questions. I had good time when I lived here. My room was big and clean. The sunshine spilt into my room. I felt comfortable when I was in my house. For the weather part, the weather is comfortable. I think is better than Taiwan. Taiwan’s weather is humid and hot. UK’s weather is dry and cold. In January, there was a heavy snowfall. The temperature was only -2 degree. (274字)

(四)自我成長

I came here by myself on 25 July, because I had EAP course. It was my first time to take the plane by myself. It was quite nervous. But I was excited to study abroad. You will know you can do well until study abroad. I think I become more independent and promote my international perspective in this year. What do I learn the most in this year? I think it is not in the lecture. It was what I did in this year. In the first month, I did everything by myself. For instance, account opening and solved different type problems. At this moment. I felt grow up. I did not need anyone’s help. I can do well by myself. For the travel part, I went to many countries during my vacation. For example, Switzerland, Netherland, France, Italy and Spain. In this travel experience, I have fun with my friends. We shared our mood together and did some crazy things. I also encountered some bad things during my travel. We discriminated by black in Belgium and Netherland. I went to the train station to ask some information, one of the black told me he can not speak English, but he used English to reply me. We feel very startled. In Sunderland, there have many childish kids. There was some discrimination against Asian people. They did not have any polite. They are very unfriendly and rude to everyone even to the local people or their parents. We always ignore them. It may train my patience in this year. (258字)

(五)大三出國建議

This is may be your most wonderful year in your life. I think you need to cherish this chance to study abroad. How many people can have this kind of opportunity to study abroad and live in a foreign country for one year. You need to leave your comfort zone and try it. It may happen some different things in your life. You also can explore yourself without anyone by your side. You might meet various friends form different countries. Maybe they will be your one of important friend in your life. In this year, you may face different type of problems and frustrations. It is best way to promote to grow up. United kingdom is a good place to study here. I like the lifestyle and teaching style. The weather is better than Taiwan, but the food is not delicious. I strongly recommend that you can use time well to travel not matter in UK or foreign countries during vacation or holiday. Everyone can have a colorful year in your third year. This is may be your most wonderful year in your life. I think you need to cherish this chance to study abroad. How many people can have this kind of opportunity to study abroad and live in a foreign country for one year. You need to leave your comfort zone and try it. It may happen some different things in your life. You also can explore yourself without anyone by your side. You might meet various friends form different countries. Maybe they will be your one of important friend in your life. In this year, you may face different type of problems and frustrations. It is best way to promote to grow up. United kingdom is a good place to study here. I like the lifestyle and teaching style. The weather is better than Taiwan, but the food is not delicious. If you choose to go Sunderland, do not have many expect it is a big city. There are many elder and kids. Overall, United Kingdom is a good place. There are many beautiful town and prosperous city. I strongly recommend that you can use time well to travel not matter in UK or foreign countries during vacation or holiday. Everyone can have a colorful year in your third year. (383字)
