2018大三出國輔導通報系統 - 留學心得報告[編輯]

(一)基本資料

It is really my honor to has this opportunity to exchange to Prague and studied in Charles University. Prague is a city which is usually named as the most beautiful city by hundreds and thousands of tourists and which would make you feel just like living in a fairytale story. (50字)

(二)課程學習

There are two courses which I felt highly interesting and quite challenge in the first semester. First, the Czech Language, which teacher always encouraged us to speak up and communicate by using Czech. A big improvement you may noticed after the half semester. Although there is still a great step for improvement of my Czech language, what I learned from class is extremely useful for daily life especially for buying daily necessities in supermarket. Second, English of Journalism, a course which I learned a great amount of new vocabularies that are relative with Journalism. What’s more, we had to compose our own newspapers in class from creating the brand to the design of how the content should look like. Interesting is that, the professor would request foreign students to sit with local students which was really a good chance to get to know new friends. For this semester, I am still working hard on it and Asia Security is a course that I would never skip it. Understanding how do the European think about the Asia relations is quite fascinating for me. Some ideas from the professor are conformity with me and some are just totally fresh for me. Most important, the professor think that Taiwan is absolutely an independent countries. (212字)

(三)生活環境

I lived in the dorm Kolej Komenského which I was already assigned by school at first. The building and room is quite old and dirty, it took me some time to clean up. However, it starts to renovate recently, unfortunately I do not have a chance to live in. The rent cost about 4650kč per month, approximate 6500 NTD, which is much more cheaper compare to living in the center. The dorm does not located in the center but near by the old castle which is a tourist place. Transportation such as Tram and Bus should only walk for about five minutes to reach it. Charles University is the oldest university in central Europe and all the campuses located in different districts of Prague. One of the campus, Hollar, is just beside the riverside with the most charming view of Prague. In the case of weather, Winter was cold and snow often especially in December and January, minus degree was just normal. Fortunately, Summer is warm and sun set until eight pm, it might be the most suitable season for staying in Prague. Prague is a prosperous and bustling city; shopping centers are almost everywhere in the town so it’s pretty easy to satisfy one’s life quality. Most important, Comebuy, the Taiwanese Bubble tea shop had opened in last year, once I miss home flavor, it is always the best place to go. (235字)

(四)自我成長

Most of the Czech does not speak English so be prepared to be refused to talk by Czech. However, fortunately, there are still lots of people who are willing to help. Most of the websites, advertisements, notices and messages can only be read in Czech, therefore, Google translate would be a useful app for people who don’t know Czech language. There are hundreds of courses that are taught in English, courses work almost the same with Lanyan so it won’t be difficult to understand and learn. The loading of class might be a little bit heavy which means lots of readings and works have to deal with but how many classes we want to take depends on ourselves. To eat outside is not cheap at all hence for a student who want to save money and miss Taiwanese food, to cook by myself has come necessary. This has forced me started to learn how to cook without burning the kitchen which is what I had never tried and imaged it before. Moreover, student restaurant is also a good option, the price of student restaurant is more affordable. To sum up, it is always not easy to feel comfortable to live in a new city and experience a new lifestyle, lots of obstacles had come up at the beginning but after I overcame those barriers, enjoy is what I only need to do. Through these challenges and difficulties, the biggest thing I have learn from it might be do not be afraid to speak up no matter in class or defending my own right. Nothing is naturally, only when you stand up for yourself and will others respect you and this really does work in Europe countries.(288字)

(五)大三出國建議

There are several tips for living in Prague. First, for the transportation, it is more cost-effective to buy the ticket for one year with your student card. It costs only 1280Kč for a year which is only almost 1800 NTD and you can go wherever and no matter how many times you want. Second, for the telephone, Vodafone gets a plan for students which need 499Kč per month, about 700 NTD, with 10G of Wifi and unlimited for calling Vodafone network. Third, for student Visa, it can take over two months to get it. Thence, remember to make an appointment with Taipei Economic and Cultural Office, Prague, Czech Republic and be ready with all your papers ASAP, the earlier you start to prepare the earlier you can get your Visa. Fourth, always get ready with your suitcase. How can you miss traveling when you are just in the Central Europe? Over twenty countries are there waiting for you to explore. Oh yes… remember to suspend your International Student ID Card, lots of discount you can get with this Yoyo card. Fifth, the bank, Raiffeisen Bank is a good choice, most of the staffs can speak in fluent English and most important you can get 100 Kč for free per month from the bank with student account and no needed to pay for anything. Last but not least, opened your hands, your eyes and your heart to feel how big is the world. Accept all the difference then just enjoy it! In conclusion, Prague is now one of my favorite city and I highly recommend for people who haven’t come yet. I believe that I would definitely come back one day and it will be soon.(283字)
