There is a course that I willing to dedicate to is Spanish. Though I did not have any interest at first, I just follow my girlfriend and I also want to try a new thing. At first, that was a tremendous challenge to me, I could not understand any Spanish word, thus, I got plenty of problems in the class, and I kept asking my classmate who sat next to me. I remember that the most interesting content in class is that we watched numerous videos about Spanish culture and foods, then we would discuss those things in Spanish in order to practice our Spanish ability. That also made me feel frustrated with me at first, because I can not speak any of Spanish at all. We only could say speak words, but we tried our best to make those words into a sentence, we really did a lot of effort on this course. Moreover, the most challenge for us is the final project. The context of this final project is that we needed to go to the elementary school in Winona to teach those kids how to make your homemade food in Spanish. This is the hardest part of this course. We made food and took pictures simultaneously, and made those into a powerpoint at first, then we took this to the elementary school. We are so nervous when we saw those kids sit in from of us, because we were the last team, so every group needed to join our presentation. That was really a large challenge for us. We really did considerably efforts on this course. We memorized numerous Spanish word and sentence for the tests and projects. If anyone like to try a new language or want to have a challenge, Spanish is really a good choice for you.(303字)

(三)生活環境

The PJ campus apartment, where is located beside Winona State University, is a lovely and delightful place for those foreign students like us. We feel so glad to live there because it is extremely comfortable and convenient for us, though Winona is just a small town with a quiet environment and less food, we still had a great one-year journey there. Winona state university is really a beautiful place that we love it so much, though there has tremendous snow in winter, we can not even walk properly. There also has a large cafeteria where provide plenty of delicious foods. Because of the food in cafeteria and restaurants are extremely expensive for us that we could not afford it, thus we would cook by ourselves frequently, and we also would go to Walmart or Midtown Foods by bus to buy some ingredients and necessaries. I love those supermarkets because they are considerably large and diverse with their products. The most interesting thing is that we would only use the roll of toilet paper in daily use without using tissue paper because tissue paper is much more expensive than toilet paper. As for another daily use, water, the landlord said that we can drink water by tap directly, but all of us tried it and had a serious stomachache after listening to what the landlord said to us. Therefore, we went to buy a Brita water filter where can buy from Walmart and would not taste the tap water directly again.(250字)

(四)自我成長

After taking some classes, we met plenty of difficulties. For instance, we had a course which is called Academic Reading and Writing II, I felt that is the most annoying course in Winona because we have to write essays with tremendous words, like about one thousand per essay. We have not done this before in Taiwan, and that was really a huge challenge for us. When we were doing those essays because the essay of the topic is a little bit difficult for those foreign students, thus we always fell in a dilemma, we were caught between writing this idea or another idea. I think that the most important and the most difficult for me was speaking English. I love English so much, but I was extremely afraid of speaking English. But in the way of their education, they want you to speak out your answers or opinion. Most of the Taiwanese will not speak out, on the contrary, they will avoid any chances to answer the question, and so did I. At first, I was so afraid of speaking English, but I gave myself a motivation which is your parents spend about a million for you to broaden your horizon, and you did not take anything back, that is considerably wasting their money. Thus, I did not want to spend their money, so I forced myself to speak more English to the native speaker or other speakers who can speak English pretty well to practice my speaking ability, that really help me a lot and I am afraid to speak English now.(263字)

(五)大三出國建議

In my opinion, you should bring the ambition to learn or take something back to Taiwan, because this is a big chance that can make your English become better. If you afraid of speaking English, you can make some friends who are native speakers, and you can also realize their culture by joining their party or participating in their activities, this can also improve your listening. And I suggest that you can have a part-time job in the cafeteria because you can not only speak a lot of English but also can make some friends there. As for taking a journey, I think that this is also a good chance when you study abroad, go and broaden your horizon as much as you can, like watching an NBA live show, that is every NBA fans' dream, and you can also take a walk at Boston's street, it is extremely beautiful. On the other hand, please be careful in every time, there are two important things that you should remember, one thing is that do not do anything that is Illegal, because it will make you paid a tremendous cost for it, for instance, we took a road trip to Chicago and parked our car in a wrong place, then our car was dragged and we had to pay for about three hundred to took it back. The other thing is that do not go any weird places, like the black street in Brooklyn, there are extremely dangerous, there may have some guns show up in front of you. Overall, I want you guys who study abroad can enrich this year as much as possible, then it will definitely be an unforgettable memory in your life.(285字)
