My favorite class was Beginner of Japanese II.This course's goal was learn the basic Japanese grammar and basic Hiragana and katakana. Also demonstrate knowledge of cultural, social, religious and linguistic differences. Understand the role of a world citizen and the responsibility world citizens share for their common global future. Before I go to America, I decided to learn some different language. I think Japanese is a great option for me because I have watch a quite lot of anime in Taiwan. I want to know what they are without subtitle. For the reason like that. I want choose the Japanese class at the fist semester. But life always have its own accident. The university choose nine credits of class automatically. Unfortunately, that conflict to Beginner of Japanese I. So I have to give up what I have planed in Taiwan. But there is still a chance to change. That is take Beginner of Japanese II. Because I didn't take the I class of it. That I have to study more harder than other classmate. Fortunately, our professor have patient on me. After two weeks, I can understand some basic grammar and Hiragana. Miho sensei(Our professor) was try very hard to make us understand what is Japanese culture. She add some little event in her course. For example, Japanese eat "onigiri" for breakfast or lunch. Which is mean they eat rice ball. And she take "Fist of the North Star" as the teaching material to let us have more interest in Japanese. Not only that, She want us to experiment Japanese's life, she even bring some material to teach us how to do "onigiri". Even thought I not doing that good as Miho sensei but still encourage me, "It is Okay, the point is to do by yourself". (299字)

(三)生活環境

Our apartment is beside the railroad. And the campus is beside the railroad. There have bus station just in front of the kryzsko commoms. For those who miss the 7-11 in Taiwan. We have Kwik trip near the campus beside the gasoline station. The 5$ pizza is a good way when you are lazy and don't want to go too far. There also have Walmart locate at a car drive distance 5 minutes. For those who need some furniture, you can drive 2 hours to ikea and there have Mall of America at the same place just beside it. Winona city has a total area of 62.50 km2; 48.80 km2 is land and 13.70 km2 is water. Lock and Dam 5A spans the Mississippi River in Winona. The highway bridge connecting Winona to the Wisconsin side of the river is at approximately River Mile 726. Winona's primary suburbs are Goodview, Stockton, Minnesota City and Rollingstone to the west, Homer to the southeast and Bluff Siding is 3 miles directly across the interstate bridge to the north and Fountain City to the north. Rochester is 44 miles to the west of Winona, La Crescent is 21 miles to the south, and La Crosse is 30 miles to the southeast. Winona is part of the driftless area that includes southeastern Minnesota, northeastern Iowa, southwestern Wisconsin and northeastern Illinois. For those who can not stand for cold, unfortunately we got -32℃ at the winter. After November, it almost snow everyday and even not it definitely under 10℃. Prepare yourself before it's too late. Winona's weather station records the warmest climate of any in Minnesota, with a normal year-round average (1971–2000) temperature 9.38 C°. Winona's historical climate data at 2007-12-16. Compared to 6.22 C° in Austin to the city's southwest or 7.44 C° in Minneapolis, to the northwest, which experiences a strong urban heat island effect. Temperatures are generally very mild by Minnesota standards year-round; the January mean is -8 C°, while that of July is 24.33 C°. (318字)

(四)自我成長

We can divide some part of my situation. First The environment is great! The scenery is beautiful! New life, I am coming! I finally arrived in the new city, the weather is different, the food is great, there are many new partners to chat with, and there are many things to be managed and arranged. Then I want to eat hot pot, I want my home... As I curiosity about my new life fades, I enter the "hostile period." I encounter many difficult situations because of language or lifestyle, and I feel aggrieved. Alone in a foreign country, in fact, I know that those challenges will make I a stronger person, but I still hope to have family and friends around, I begin to miss the time of all kinds of good happiness at my home country. There may be depressed,but life still has to continue! Gradually, I begin to adapt to the individual situation, and I will gradually have a familiar three-five friends who can take care of each other. I enter the "adjustment period" and look strong and independent. I will begin to really understand the American culture and try to avoid being isolated or afraid because of cultural differences. I have started to be a qualified international student. I’m going to finish my school soon, how can I feel reluctant... People studying in the United States will inevitably encounter a strange situation. After studying abroad for a year, I already familiar with the lifestyle of this country. When I return to my homeland, everything will change. Going abroad encounters cultural shocks, and returning to Taiwan is the same. In this "re-adaptation period", we need to re-engage with our family and we need to find our own living habits. (293字)

(五)大三出國建議

For those who going to America soon, My suggestion is bravely walk forward to society and keep in touch with your friends. A variety of recreational activities are often organized on campus, such as sports and entertainment projects, short trips and cultural exchanges, community services, and American festivals. Different themes and different activities have enabled the students to experience the inclusive campus culture and open and free campus atmosphere. "Don't treat yourself as a stranger." As long as you actively integrate, put aside shyness and embarrassment, communication barriers are a simple matter of breaking the ice. Also speak actively in class. Because the teaching in the United States is based on interactive teaching. The teacher guides students to learn and emphasizes the ability to think independently and solve problems independently. At this time, it is necessary to adapt to this learning state and gradually cultivate the habit of learning. It is more important to got the learning way than learning knowledge by yourself. It is necessary to take the initiative to seize the opportunity of learning. Prepare before class, prepare questions that you don't understand, and ask questions at any time during the teacher's lecture. The United States is an inclusive immigrant country, and everyone loves it. They are very willing to communicate with you, there is basically no so-called exclusion and discrimination. On the contrary, if you are always nitpicking, you can only add pressure and trouble to yourself. You will be the better you.(246字)
