(二)課程學習

My favorite class is Web Technology. The class is taught by professor M.M.Bari. It is not a very hard class if you pay attention and take notes when the professor is teaching. You do not need to buy a book for this class. Of course, it is better if you can get one because it helps a lot when you are studying and when you are making your own website. There will be a quiz every two weeks, and the professor will also give you homework, we called those labs. You can finish those labs during the class and the professor will check it. But, if you can not finish it during the class, you can bring it home and finish it before next class, then the professor will check your homework. There is also another class I recommend it is called, photography appreciation. This class is taught by professor Emma. An introduction to the art and expression of photography through lecture, photography assignments, discussion, and critique. Students complete photo assignments tied to major themes of the course using simple cameras and commercially-processed film. Emphasis on wide range of genres and important photographers and their work from 1839 to the present. Another class I recommend is called Physics(PHYS 115). It has many demonstrations, everyday applications, and hands-on interactive simulations are used to make physics understandable to the general education student. Non-mathematical approach. Lab. Not open to students with credits in higher numbered, non-aviation physics courses. I like this class a lot because physics is my favorite subject since I was studying in high school. This professor will answer any questions about class. Very professional teacher, not like some professors in Lanyang. All of the demonstrations are fun and really really cool. We also use an APP called top hat during the class. You can answer questions on this APP, and some times it counts the attendance.(317字)

(三)生活環境

Winona State University. Located in Winona, Minnesota. Almost nothing around the school. I still remember the day I just arrived in the US, and I was like, what? There is nothing around this school? Just a couple of restaurants around this school? If you are not planning to enjoy this year, and just study. This is the best place you should come. I did not live in the dorm because it is too expensive, so, my friend and I. We rent an apartment. It was pretty nice, to be honest. We have a huge living room, a kitchen, a huge bathroom, and five rooms. That town was so great to relax and study. About November, it will start snowing and it is going to be colder when it is December. So, you could plan to visit California during winter break. That is what I did. It was so warm in California during winter. About twenty-six to twenty-eight degrees celsius. But in Winona, it is about negative thirty degrees celsius. There are a Walmart and Target in Winona, but it takes a five-minute drive. Do not worry, Winona has buses that carry you to both of the shopping centers. The best thing is. It is totally free! You are definitely going to miss all the Taiwanese foods. For example, popcorn chicken, stinky tofu, etc. You can also get some materials from the Asian market and make some Taiwanese dishes by your self, although an Asian market takes a two-hour drive so you won't miss them that much.(256字)

(四)自我成長

You do not have to be afraid of anything. Be an open-minded guy. Talk to the native speakers as much as you can. Do not be afraid of making mistakes, people do not really care if you make a mistake or not. The more you talk to native speakers, the more you will improve yourself. In the beginning, I was afraid to talk to the Americans. But I found out that most of them are friendly and nice. Although there are still some dickheads that race Asians. Just walk away and do not give a shit about them. The homework in the US is way harder and way more than Taiwan. Do your best to finish it before the next class starts. There are also lots of quizzes in the US. Do your best to get through it. I can make it so you can do it too. Study hard so you can get some credits. Unless you want to spend one more year in Lanyang.You can also work in the cafeteria, it pays you 10 dollars US dollar an hour. Works in the cafeteria are easy, and you can make a lot of friends during work. No matter where they from. I make most of my foreign friends during my work. I make some money at the same time. So I can buy whatever I want during thanksgiving. It is not hard to live in the US. The main point is, do not be afraid to do whatever you wanted to do. (253字)

(五)大三出國建議

When you decide to study abroad, bring a friend as your company. Then make as many foreign friends as you can. So you can improve your English. This year may be the only a year that you can have the best environment to improve your English. Do not be afraid of things, try to be yourself all the time. Do not be afraid of making mistakes. Plan everything you want to do before you do it. Learn everything you do not know. For example, the first time I drove in the US I did not yield the police officer, but I did not get pulled over. But he can pull me over at that time. I learned a lesson so I would not make that mistake again. The teachers in the US are all nice to visiting students, so just do your best on the exam and homework.If you aren’t a cold lover. Do not choose Winona choose California. Because you cannot imagine how cold it is in Winona. By the way, California got lots of places to visit and lots of places for vacation. In my experience, I forget to plan the spring break, so I do nothing during the spring break. So remember to plan a schedule, it is really important. The last suggest I could give you is to make new friends, the more you make the more you could learn. I mean make new friends that are not from your country. You can learn many different culture and differnet language. You can be a person with world wide. (264字)
