2018大三出國輔導通報系統 - 留學心得報告[編輯]

(一)基本資料

I study at Winona State University from 2018 to 2019 and my major is computer science. Winona is a small and quiet city located in Minnesota. A maximum of 18 credits can be earned during each semester. (34字)

(二)課程學習

Japanese class is my favorite class. I swear that there is no one couldn't learn well Japanese. As the saying goes, there are the students can not be taught, only the teacher does not know how to teach. I can remember that when I participated in the class the first time, the teacher's energy was very powerful and her teaching was interesting. I even couldn't know that she comes from Japan, because her English intonation is tally like local American. Our class was taking a small scale in order to let the teacher could make sure whether every student is keeping the process or not. Sometimes the teacher also invited the student-tutor whose native language is Japanese come to join us. One of the tutors could correct us the grammar immediately, and the other we can make some Japanese friends. I was so surprised that when we met some traditional Japanese festival every time, she would prepare snacks and food for us. The most impressed of me, the teacher taught us how to make traditional onigiri in class. All of the food and rice were prepared by the teacher. The picture was the last Japanese class. I wish I can keep learning Japanese in the future. I love the way that teacher's teaching. Because she gave us homework almost every single day and we need to answer the assignment of the teacher last week. The teacher also had an exam for us to finishing every chapter about Japanese speaking, listening and writing. If there is an opportunity, I will definitely continue to take this teacher’s Japanese class.(268字)

(三)生活環境

Winona is a small and quiet city located in Minnesota. when I arrived here at Augst, I could remember the weather was hotter than Taiwan. There are have Winona Lake and Mississippi river surrounds the Winona. The neighbors and students always lie in the grass beside the Lake. More people were swimming and having great sports on the lake. In terms of living, we had twenty-five students from our school. So we rent a big house. I first ate a meal in the United, I was so surprised that it was too expensive for food. Walmart and Target which is the famous market in the local area are near my house, we can take the Winona bus or call the Lyft to market to buy some food. In normal days, we usually cook for ourselves. Only if meeting some special holidays, I would invite some friends to a restaurant to celebrate. Approximately, the climate will become colder in October and it started to snow in November. we were lucky that we met the lowest temperature in Minnesota this year for more than a decade. At first, I didn't believe how cold it would be. The result is that I felt very cold at zero celsius. But this year, even the lowest temperature is minus thirty-four-celsius degrees. Even because of the wind and snow, the school stopped the class many times. Be sure to buy a good coat because the winter in Minnesota is very cold from October to May. If you don’t keep your body warm, you will be frostbitten.(261字)

(四)自我成長

Winona State University is different from other Universities. It offers some jobs for International students. However, I got an easy job luckily at Starbucks on the campus. I most work every morning from seven to eleven o'clock. The job contents how to make some beverages and coffee for customers and help guests to check out. At first, I felt the job was too hard to do because my English was not good enough at that time. Sometimes I even could not understand what the customers want to do. However, I always felt upset every single day. Since that, I made my mind to re-increase my English listening and speaking. I would more listen to the conversation of local people and making some local friends. In order to practice English, you must be practiced constantly and don't worry about saying the wrong grammar or fearing that others can't understand what you are talking about. Gradually after two to three months, my English ability is getting better and better and there's no problem have a conversation with anyone. I had also made a good friend in the United States. She often helped me and would take me to eat good food. When I finally leave school, all the aunts were reluctant to leave me. Almost every aunt has a gift for me. (220字)

(五)大三出國建議

I love the memories of Winona's life. I even could not imagine that I already back to Taiwan and I would not regret to choose to study abroad. Winona State University is the best school in my mind. Because tuition is cheaper than other schools and if you really want to improve English you need to choose it. Although there are not too many ethnic Chinese, the people from there help us so much. So don't worry about that! America has great land, I recommend that you really need to plan a trip for self to see the World Heritages. Even though spending much money for travel is necessary. Wait until you find yourself traveling alone, doing a lot of things, representing everything is worth it. In December of 2018 Christmas, I planned to travel by myself in less than a month. This was a very important decision in my life. All the way from Los Angeles to Las Vegas and the final destination was the Grand Canyon of the United States. When I first sight to see the grand canyon, I could not believe how beautiful the place there was. The scenery was like walking into the painting. I highly recommend going to the United States to study, you must plan to give yourself a travel plan. After traveling alone in the United States, I grew a lot and brave now. I can only thank my father and mother for giving me such a good opportunity to experience a foreign life.(251字)
