2018大三出國輔導通報系統 - 留學心得報告[編輯]

(一)基本資料

I studied in Southern Cross University at Gold Coast, Australia. In this year, I have applied four courses, which are: -Sales and Promotion which taught us how to plan and prepare a project about tourist destination and how to stimulate the economy to the worldwide -Event Operations which taught us how to prepare an event and any detail that need to be aware of -Room Divisions which taught us understand the work flow in hospitality/hotel industry -Professional Development Workplace which assist us to apply a job with a better resume and taught us some professional skills that will be used during the internship!(104字)

(二)課程學習

One of my favorite courses is Professional Development Workplace which is taught by Sharen Nisbet. This course is highly related to our internships which can assist ourselves to write better resumes to different workplaces and get to know ourselves much better no matter our strengths and weaknesses. However, the best part of attending the course is the way of how she taught the students in the interactive methods but not in the traditional way, which she made the course more alive and interesting. Through this course, we can get to know our classmate better and improve our English quicker, we exchange our ideas and share how we thought in class. This is the only course that I felt strongly connected with each other and bravely present myself, plus, we can all visit the famous hotel in Australia to let us get to know how does the hotel work if we have to work in the same industry in the near future.(161字)

(三)生活環境

With full of passion and enthusiasm, I come to Australia to start my first study abroad experience in Southern Cross University. The school has four campuses which separately located at Lismore, Gold Coast, Coffs, and Sydney. In my campus, Gold Coast, we have three main building where we go to classes, go for studying and chilling out. The teachers there are patient and nice, always willing to give any advice if we need help. Since the campus is not that big, we have to find our own accommodation which is really hard for us to find from overseas and hard to understand the environment, luckily, we met a good landlord who is willing to give us assistance and supply us the fantastic living place. The weather here compare to Taiwan will not be too much difference, however, it is dry and hot, I can hardly breathe in every morning, even in the winter, it is hot in day time but cold in night time. As for food, the exotic atmosphere is everywhere, such as Japanese, Korean, Indian, and Chinese, etc. In Australia, there is nothing special for food but every meal is absolutely delicious. The living style is so much different between Taiwan and Australia, it is hustle and bustling in Taiwan, however, in Australia, it is slow and relaxing; another interesting finding is that every store closes before 6 at night, in Taiwan, vice versa. The most popular culture that I am desperately need to introduce is their drinking culture, even though the stores close before 6 everyday, the only shop that will still open is pubs. People start to drink in the afternoon until night, and celebrate for nothing just to stay in the pub for hours. I deeply enjoyed the atmosphere and living style there, and can't wait to visit it again in the future.(306字)

(四)自我成長

When I first came to this country, everything is so unsure and uncertain, I felt insecure and less of confidence at the beginning, scared by the whole new environment, I have no idea how to deal with the situation, I was so lost. Trying to adapt different accents which is totally new and fresh from what we have learnt before. Trying to get along with different people who are from different countries with different cultures. However, no matter in school or work, the only thing I have never stop doing is to keep trying even though you might fail, and be more active and eager to learn. It is true that I have been through lots of ups and downs in this year, however, I realize it is also a great opportunity to force myself to grow and be more independent, this is how we called ''turned the weakness into strengths,'' and it is always worth to give yourself thousands of chances just to make thing right. Even though some people could not understand what you are doing, time will prove everything. Even though you could not please everyone in your life, you do not have to be the one that everyone will like, because the way you present yourself will attract those who admire you, not underestimate you. I am grateful and thankful of what I have encountered, with all these experiences, I know how to interact with people and how to express my feelings and stand out for my own rights when meeting something that is unfair.(260字)

(五)大三出國建議

Grab the chances and embrace the whole new life! I have met a bunch of great people who are from different lovely countries, no matter in school or at work, these people became part of my life and around me everyday. It is understandable to be shy and awkward at the first beginning, nevertheless, stay away from your comfort zone and try to become a person that you always wanted to be. As for my personality, I was so introverted, since I came to this country, I have never thought I will go partying, meeting new people, and talking about gossips everyday. I was happy that my life can be plentiful and colorful which was all out of my expectations. You only live once. How many people have this kind of chances to study abroad and broaden the horizon to the worldwide? Even though it is possible to meet some difficulties, I am sure it will only make you stronger but not weaker. Through this opportunity, I wanted to say, I finally saw my disadvantages and fix it properly and find out what is my advantage. Also, with this experience, I am more determined with my future and start to prepare what I should do after graduation. I was lost and confused about myself, through all of the ups and downs that I have undergone, I am more mature and patient with everything and realize that it is important to speak for myself. It is definitely a turning point in my life that have deeply influenced me in a good way. Everyone will change and become a new person after a year, and so will you guys! Enjoy everything as much as you can, and try to become a local and be part of them and understand them no matter which countries you have chosen and visited. For me, it will always be an unforgettable memories and experiences in my life that I would love to do it one more time.(331字)
