My study aboard college is Emirate Academy hospitality management, which located in the UAE. Dubai, start from September to July. (20字)

(二)課程學習

The course I choose including Beginner's Arabic, Introduction to hospitality and events management, food and beverage, and Innovation and Entrepreneurship. One of my favorites course is Beginner's Arabic, although I heard that Arabic is one of the most difficult languages before, This is also my first time to learn other languages in English. It is inevitable that I will be a little worried that I can’t learn quickly. I completely changed my mind when I met my Arabic teacher. The teacher first introduced the basic greetings in a relaxed style, and let the students practice each other in the classroom. Through a variety of scenario films and study sheets, I gradually increased my familiarity with Arabic. In addition to language courses, we also have a variety of field trip learning, such as going to the Arab restaurant to experience the local cuisine or going to the local museum to explore the origin of Arab culture and Islamic customs. In one homework, I have grown up to be able to introduce local famous singers in Arabic and make them into a film, and I have achieved good grades in many small tests. Later, it was not a stress for me to take Arabic lessons, but it would make me take the initiative to learn more classes, whether the teacher is willing to answer any questions in the classroom or after class. For me, having such a kind and serious teacher taught me the language I had never studied before, and finally let me get a high score of 97 in the final exam, which I never expected, I thank the teacher from the bottom of my heart. What I learned from her is not only superficial knowledge but also confidence in learning. I realized the difference between foreign education and Taiwan and cultivated the initiative to ask questions and share ideas habits are very important(314字)

EAHM is located opposite many well-known Jumeirah hotels, including Burj al Arab, Jumeirah beach hotel, Jumeirah Madinat city…etc. It is worth mentioning that even the famous water park wild-wadi is also a five-minute walk away. There are also several restaurants and a small shopping mall around the school, which is a convenient location overall. As for the inside of the school, there are a wealth of facilities, from student restaurants, cafes, open-air swimming pools, fitness centers, basketball courts to convenience stores. Basically, the facilities needed for a living are provided here. For accommodation, the school offers single rooms and separate bathroom facilities. The wide space and comfortable beds make you more focused on the road of learning. My room is very lucky and has a very good view, looking out from the window. There is a spectacular Burj al Arab, and the lights at night make it more beautiful. In the choice of dining, you can choose to buy ingredients from the supermarket to cook yourself. There is also a buffet in the school or a restaurant by the pool. If you want a cup of coffee or light food, there is a cafe attached to the school. Will be your good partner for these three months. We usually wear formal suits and nametag, and the suit shoe and tidy grooming is a basic standard to join the class. The special point to pay attention to in terms of weather is that the climate in Dubai is dry and hot throughout the year, and it is necessary to take precautions against heat stroke during the summer noon. Finally, if you want to go a little further, taxis are usually the most convenient option.(284字)

(四)自我成長

Although studying abroad life is attractive, it is inevitable that you will encounter difficulties and unsuccessful times. The most obvious part is the part of the school. Every class here must be very focused, and spend a lot of time after class to review and preview actively. Moreover, almost every class of assignment will have many reports or papers need to complete, pay attention to the professionalism of the report while taking into account the progress of each subject. In addition to reading exams, you must also prepare for the interview. The three months are short, but every day must go all out to prepare for tomorrow's challenges. On the other hand, local customs and culture are also very different from those of Taiwan. Compared with Taiwan’s free and open environment, there have very strict regulations and Islamic religions in the United Arab Emirates. For example, you cannot drink or smoke on the road or you can't wear exposed clothes and walk on the road…etc. During the Ramadan month, you can't even eat and drink in public. Violators will be punished with fines or criminal detention. Although this highly controlled law implements the entire country, they have a good law and order in the world. The UAE is a melting pot with many cultures. Although everyone's beliefs and nationalities are not the same, I believe that as long as you maintain a respectful and friendly attitude to face everyone, you can live smoothly in every place. At least everyone I met here is almost quite friendly.(258字)

(五)大三出國建議

After this years’ experience, I think there are a few things that must be prepared before going abroad. First, the simplest and most important thing: English ability. The only tool we can communicate with a foreigner in English. Especially in speaking and writing, there are often more than 2,000 words essay assignment in school. At this time, writing ability is an indicator of whether you can get high scores. The writing ability here does not mean to use gorgeous words to decorate the whole article. They pay more attention to the overall article structure, paragraphs, and to be relevant to the topic. Also, need to use the correct form to quote the references. Oral speaking is the most important part for me, regardless of report, chat, interview, phone call, etc. Almost 99 percent of life’s communication will be used. Therefore, I suggest that my junior classmate can enrich their English skills in the past two years. The more you use English in your daily life, the more you get used to it. After a long time, you will not be afraid to spend extra time to adapt to the English environment. The second is to find out the internship department that you like and search for relevant information in advance. Most of our exchange program have internships, and the hotel internships account for the majority. If there are people who have no relevant experience at all, they will feel a lot of confusion in the first time, especially before the interview. If you know a little about this industry, you may miss many good internship opportunities. Therefore, it is recommended that you first check the hotel brand and department that you are interested in, and then you don’t have to worry about the interview.(294字)
