I choose to stay with a host family, it is a family that my friend recommends me. She used to stay there for a year and she said they are really nice. the bus station is across to our house so I only spend 5 minutes to get to school. There is a couple in the host family, they have two children, brother and sister. Brother is an engineer, sister is a nurse, they have a cousin living with them . He is also a nurse. There is also a student who is also at the same university as us. he is from China, but he grew up in the United States, so he does not how to speak Chinese. we get along very good and they brought me to so many places. I went to so many places such as, Miami, San Diego, San Francisco and so on. Travel is a way to experience local customs. When you travel to a place, you can experience the pace of life of the locals. In addition, you can experience the living habits of local people while walking up the street. You can not only appreciate the scenery and the history, but also the history and culture behind it. When you come abroad to study, you will know how to get involved with other people. For example, my host-family, by getting along with local families, gives our international students the opportunity to experience American life more deeply. In addition, the International Students Association also gives us the opportunity to introduce our country to other student from different countries. In addition to allowing us to communicate with locals, we can also make local people more aware of the culture of other countries. Foreign friends can lead you to know their country and culture. the weather in the State is very cool even in summer it is still cool at night time. we have so many restaurant near my house, like Japanese, Korean. Italian, Thai food. over all, I think it is a good place for student who want study abroad. (345字)

(四)自我成長

I was a little nervous when I was in class on the first day because English is not our native language. I am afraid that I can’t keep up or can’t understand. I also have to get used to their talking speed. When I am in class, I have to take notes quickly. If I can’t understand the words, I need to check the dectionary immediately, or I will forget them all at. In the first month, I am still adapting to the environment, and also slowly learning the way the learn and teach Ihe English ability has not reached a certain level. Others only need to spend a day to finish the chapters, but I have to spend a week before class to check the textbooks, or rely on the lectures in class to understand what the class is going to do. There is a concept in studying in the United States that if you feel that there is a problem, you must ask it. Everything can be discussed, but the point is that you have the courage to say. What you have to do here is to pursue the truth, Standing on the knowledge you have learned, you can fully express yourself with confidence. This is the philosophy of American education. Regardless of which department of the school, all students have a feeling that they can never finish their homework, I think this is because the professor hopes that students can use the knowledge absorbed in each class. .(253字)

(五)大三出國建議

The semester that I studied abroad was probably the best time of my life. In a year, I experienced a different culture, ate new foods, made lifelong friends, travelled to other places, learned to understand an accent that sounds like a whole other language, and learned to be independent. After a year I felt like, the beginning of one’s college career is always stressful and exciting whether it is a person that decides to go to college in a different state or commute from home-it is a change to one’s whole life that must be adapted to. The transition from high school to college is easier for some people than it is for others, depending on where one decides to go to school. Studying abroad is another brief transition from one’s home to a college in another part of the world. Studying abroad allowed me to grow academically as I became conversationally fluent in English; socially as I made new friends; culturally as I learned more about my American culture and heritage; and personally. I think studying abroad, no matter where you go, is not a simple thing. At the moment you decide, you must know that you have the courage to face the situation and deal with emergencies. Maybe you didn't have these abilities at first, but at the moment they came, they had to learn to calm down. Life is a process in which have many multiple choices, questions. When you make up your mind to choose, don't regret it, because this is the beginning of the story you have taken for yourself. The process of studying in the State has made me truly appreciate what I have own now. It also made me understand that I have to relax my mind to absorb more and better experiences and ideas. Everyone has different reasons and stories for studying abroad. The experience is unique. In the future, how I can develop the skills I have learned in this process is also my own choice. (338字)
