2018大三出國輔導通報系統 - 留學心得報告[編輯]

(一)基本資料

The college I studied called Warsaw University, it is the biggest university in entire Poland and it is also rated as one of the 100 best universities in Europe. It's located in the capital city called warsaw and I am also live in the city center, they have many different faculties but we only get to choose the courses especially for the Erasmus students which are taught in English.(68字)

For me, the class I most recommend is the Polish language course. Of course, not only English, you have to learn their local language since in Poland not every local people can speak English. Polish is one of the Slavic languages, it's unique pronunciation fascinated me so I made up my mind I'm gonna learn how to speak Polish in this year. Our professor's name is Anna Dudek, she is a wonderful teacher who is full of the patient. Her teaching methods are unique, she teaches us polish in polish cause she told us that speaking Polish while learning how to speak is the most direct and quickest way to improve your Polish, sometimes if we really don't understand she will speak English also spending more time and use every way just to let you understand. Like she always says: practice makes better, so during every class, she will pair each of us randomly so we can speak Polish only with different parents which makes us improve our POlish very quick and get to know every classmate in the same time, before class dismiss, we will play KAHOOT based on the materials she has taught us last week, top three with the highest score can get extra point in the final exam which really give us the motivation to study harder. Polish is indeed very difficult to learn especially its pronunciation and complex grammar can frustrate you sometimes but when you can recognize something in the shops and communicate with locals or even those locals thought you are the local, it's very fulfilling and I can still remember that the Polish lady said to me thank you for your help, your Polish is very good. You can improve your language only when you speak out bravely. Hence I strongly recommend anyone who's gonna study in Poland learning Polish.(308字)

(三)生活環境

Our university's main campus located in the capital city-Warsaw, nearby is the famous old town, is a long street with so many old churches and huge monuments also there is a big square we can ice skating during the winter, besides that, there are plenty of bars, supermarkets, and restaurants around the main campus so we don't need to worry where to go and what to eat every day, UW got many different campuses but it takes at least fifteen minutes to get to different campuses by bus, as for our dormitory, it is for the exchange students only, since I'm only international visiting student, I rent a room with my classmate who is also from TKUL. The location is just beside the city center and Taiwan Embassy, nearby, there are plenty of supermarkets, restaurants, bars, gyms, banks, malls, and even post office, besides that, it only takes me five minutes walk to the bus station, metro station, and tram station, so I can go anywhere I want easily, furthermore, there is a huge city park with a famous memorial statue, sometimes I go jigging there at the early morning. The cost of living here is a little bit lower than Taiwan especially transportation and groceries, but the restaurants are very expensive compared to Taiwan. In Poland using bank card is very command, you don't need to bring a lot of change and cash with you, also the bank's app is very convenient, you can just purchase transportation tickets and pay internet fee or even transfer money to someone. As for the weather here, Warsaw is a dry and windy city, according to what local told us, the winter this year is especially warm compared to before, but still very cold, only minus five degrees or sometimes is windy and minus twenty degrees only, so it's crucial to put on body lotion, chapstick and wearing cap every day. During the winter, put on many layers of clothes instead of wearing one thick sweater and jacket only since there are heaters everywhere so you can take some off when you feel hot.(351字)

(四)自我成長

This year I have encountered a lot of difficulties, among all, there are two things that really bother me. The first thing is the weather. Since I have serious allergic and the weather in Warsaw is dry, I had nosebleeds for almost two months and both of my legs skin got very severe eczema, all I can do is take vitamin C and put on body lotion to inhibit the situation get even worse. The second thing is the lack of language and thinking ability. In the second semester, I choose a course is about certain issues of abortion in Poland, the US, and entire Europe, including feminist development, morality against the law and religion. Every week we need to reed one article and hand in an essay, and the minium pages of the article are fifteen A4, so I spent almost one week to finish reading it not including typing the essay, cause deep down I know everyone in this class their majority of study is about this kind of issues and they are all elder than me, I am the only one who got no certain experience and knowledge on this field, so I study harder and looking for information on the internet every day just want to keep up their pace, but one day, both of the professors want me to go inside in the office and have a talk, they said to me: I understand that this course is not easy, and your English ability may not be so good so your essays are so terrible, if that so you can drop your class. Of all the efforts I have spent every day turns out are just nothing, so I hated going to that class, but just one-day, I realized that indeed my English ability is not as good as I thought and my logic is also terrible, so I spent twice hard than before, learning English and improve my logic of thinking, and finally, I got the phrase form the professor. I am really glad that I challenge myself choose this course, so I can get to know my lack of ability, also those two professors are just like my benefactor, without them, I can not improve myself so much.(375字)

(五)大三出國建議

Many things can happen during the year you study abroad, you may have a big fight with your good friend and never become friend anymore but you make friends with many different people you can't imagine before or go to so many countries and try so many different foods and activities you never experienced before, this year is gonna be one of the most crucial years in your life, get grown-up, think more, think mature, and be mature. Mature is that you take responsibility no matter good and bad happens, also you have to adopt a different style of education and lifestyle, especially education in Poland is about your thinking ability, they want you to speak out loud your opinion more in class, hence first thing is you get to sharpen your thinking ability in this year. Secondly, make friends so you can know more about different countries like foods, culture, and places worth to visit, so don't be shy to talk to different people, be kind, smiling all the time, but also beware of bad people. Finally and the most important is to befriend with at least one local people, that is the point you study abroad, so you can get to know this place well more quickly and your Polish can improve more quickly. This year will change you completely.(222字)
