2018大三出國輔導通報系統 - 留學心得報告[編輯]

(一)基本資料

My university is located in Sunderland,UK, named University of Sunderland. My course was started on 24 September, will be end in June. The course i have is about Business and Marketing, for example business law and digital marketing.(38字)

My favorite class is business law. First, is because I finally have chance to learn something about business law, which is one of my interested subject, and it also have a huge connection with the job, I'm thinking to have in the future, and it's always good to prepare thing first. Mentioning about the lecturer prof. Emma, she is a very talkative and patient lady. For instance, since business law is the first time for some students to learn, so she even open another class to explain the topic, which students might still feel confused at, to make sure we do get the points and deeply understand. It was after I started to learn business law, then I figure out it's more complex than I thought before, and there are many points need to be read carefully, but I didn't choose to give up, even it's a little bit hard to understand at first. The reason is, actually I felt nervous at the first class, but after then, I gradually realized that "Even this is my first time to learn about this subject, but I have a good lecturer, and I thanks for I finally have chance to learn about this." Thus it makes me feel more encouraged to find another resource, to make sure I do know how to put it in practice in the future. Now is going to be the end of the semester, through this class, it makes me know more professional term, more actual cases which have happened before, and some basic knowledge of law, making me can get more easily to analyze things in the future. Besides, while finding resources to help myself know more about business law, I found out more and more website and forum, which not only answer what I need, but other meaningful information! (304字)

(三)生活環境

To me, Sunderland is a really nice city, people are nice, although sometimes their accent makes me feel confused. Mentioning my apartment, which is close to the beach, so sometimes is good to have a walk there, and have a fish and chips. The weather is good in summer, but it’s really really cold, and even having snow in winter. Talking about the food, I have TESCO and Lidl near my apartment, easily for me to get some daily need, and vegetable or meet to cook, so I also increase my cooking skill in this year. From my place to university just 10 mins on foot, or the bus, which is free of charge for student. The equipment in our university is quite good, and even available on holidays, especially in the library. I often study there, copying the materials I need, also borrow books for sure. Two days before, I even noticed they also have laptop, which is also available to borrow. So everything is very convenient in this year. Besides, after I moved in, I get to know much with by Malaysia roommates, they are all very nice guys and we usually sometimes having dinner or hanging out together, so actually we do exchange many culture in these days. The day here, makes me feel stressful form the study, but this makes me having more chance to enjoy the weather and some interesting stuff around Sunderland.For example, I found some good coffee shop, and museum. These colorful my experience in UK, and my life. (257字)

(四)自我成長

After a week here, I started to feel disappointed with my English skills. Since the people in Sunderland have their own accent of English, and the fast they spoke the less I could understand. So, I tried to uses different way to improve my listening and trying to know more words from study. And now, almost a year later, I think I do improve. And the other part is that, first I have a course is about the study of crime,and the course is actually for third year student, but this is the first time to join the class, I didn't know that much about this subject, and after one class, it always take me for quite a lot of time to really get it. So, at the end, I gave up. However, I didn't forget, among the day, when I still trying my best to understand,not only just asking question, also keep reading material and do focusing on each lesson. Staying up many times, just thinking to improve a little in each time I have tried. Besides, I'm still trying to have more chance to learn something about the culture here in UK, but it literally takes times, and I hope I could have more chance to make some friends here, since I only meet my UK classmate in some of my class, and to talk is only during the class. Thus, until now, I'm still looking for time to look around London or go to some museum in UK. (253字)

(五)大三出國建議

After experienced this year, I think to choose the course you are interested at, will never be wrong. First is that, to choose something you like, can somehow encourage you to keep moving, even it is hard to learn at the beginning. But, it got a lot of chance to succeed at the same time. And it's very important to cherish the chance of having the chance to learn, after this year, it will be harder for you to find another time, or resource. Besides, if you have English lesson in your list of courses, don't be hesitated to choose, it's okay if you can't speak English that well, or you can't totaly understand what are the people saying in some city, which they have their own accent of English already. We need to accept there is always something we don't know yet, or we can do something in a very good level. It's always good to learn something we don't know before. And usually we can learn extra knowledge after the course, which is about UK or Sunderland. Sunderland is a really good place, studying here teaches you how to put stress on yourself, but also how to relax yourself. Study abroad makes me know myself better, and improve some skills day by day, so don’t waste the time here, and remember to think about your future! What you learn now, to some degree, is leading you to have a nice job, or making you to be a better person! (252字)
