At Winona State University, one of my favorite courses in the Japanese language course. I know that learning Japanese in the United States sounds strange, but I saw that the former seniors recommended this course very much. And I am also having interested in Japanese course. So I chose this course to start learning a new language. The professor of this class is Nagai Miho. There are four days of classes every week, one hour a day. I think the purpose of the school is that it wants the students to learn day by day, and it is easier to get more memories with the new language every day. At first, the teacher carefully taught each of the classmates in the class, helping our pronunciation. During the time of the class was very interesting. This kind of atmosphere will infect you to study more and seriously! In the beginning, we must memorize hiragana and katakana, because that is the basis of Japanese. Also because of my enthusiasm for learning Japanese. Soon I remember it all. These are a few points that impressed me the most in the classroom. First, the professor makes it easier to let us remember the words, so the professor plays music. And we must follow the rhythm and read the words without repeating them. Second, we have conversations exam. We must talk in Japanese for one minute to two minutes like we are having a short talk with Japanese people. Third, the professor will take everyone to read words and textbooks in the classroom. With the exam, I am more and more interested in Japanese. The professor teaches us step by step in the classroom. Now I know how to read and write hiragana and katakana! I also know a lot of words, and I have a way to tell a simple daily conversation in Japanese. Besides, I also participated in Level 2 of the next semester. I highly recommend everyone to go to the Japanese class of this professor.(333字)

Not only around the School is very quiet and clean but also is not that busy as the city. Winona has many lakes and mountains around the University. It is safety and quiet around the college. So I recommend Winona State University. During the summertime, you can have some activities on the lake. For example, International Services takes International students to the lake, helping us to rent the kayak or canoe in summer. Also, they will provide ice-skating in winter. During the winter, it will be really cold in Winona. The coldest will only -20 Celsius left. Make sure to buy some coats before the winter coming. You should always layer in the winter. The snow will keep continuing from November to next April. Winona is not in the main city. If you want to buy something, it will be harder for you to get daily necessities without a car. But do not worry, because they have one of the taxis called “lyft." It can take you to the destination. Moreover, they have two company called "Hertz" and "Enterprise." You can rent a car there! I strongly recommended you to use! If you rent a room out of the school, and you think it is lazy to cook for your lunch and dinner every day. You can buy a meal plan at school which means that you can eat in the school's cafeteria. Sometimes the class will end very late. Usually, that day I and my friends will go to the cafeteria to eat the meal. Or you can buy foods at Kryzsko commons! During the year, I became very independent because there were no family members in the United States. So everything I have to do is to do it myself. Even the planning of time! I have 20 hours of work in school for one week, and I have 17 credits. I have to master the time because every class has his homework and reports. Especially on the eve of the exam, I have to use time more seriously.Every day I am responsible for different areas, sometimes doing burgers, sometimes cooking pasta, and sometimes washing dishes. So I have to remember how to make and how to clean up the workbench. How to successfully complete the work I am responsible for is very important to me, although I will be very flustered at first, but gradually I have a way to deal with everything. Everyday everyone will stay to review which side is not doing well today.(418字)

I studied in the United States this year. I think the most different thing is that I have to do everything independently. Everything must be handled by myself, for example: washing clothes, buying daily necessaries, cooking, working on time. The first thing I encountered over there was to open a bank account and apply for SSN. If you don't have these two things, there is no way to buy things. I used to be very shy and didn't like to raise my hand or give a report. Every time I feel very uncomfortable. But in the United States, they are very focused on this. Because what you have said represents your true understanding. Gradually, because of this, I dare to say my thoughts. I also have a part-time in school, a cafeteria member. And I also learn a lot during work. Collaborate with other workers and face with different customers. I keep practicing my listening and speaking all day. As a worker, I thankful I have this opportunity to work in college. Because of that, I need to manage time more carefully. Every day I am responsible for different areas, sometimes doing burgers, sometimes cooking pasta, and sometimes washing dishes. So I have to remember how to make and how to clean up the workbench. How to successfully complete the work I am responsible for is very important to me, although I will be very flustered at first, gradually I have a way to deal with everything. Everyday everyone will stay to review which side is not doing well today. I cherish every day of my work because I can chat with many international students from different countries and exchange each other's culture. I also met many friends. They come from Sri Lanka, Congo, Nepal, Germany, Thailand, and China. I still remember that once I was teaching a new colleague how to clean up the burger's frying table, one accidentally sprinkled some of the hot oil on my right arm. So my right hand was hurt. I practice listening and speaking all day long. As a worker, I thank you for the opportunity to work in college. Therefore, I need to manage my time more carefully. During the year, I became very independent because there were no family members in the United States. So everything I have to do is to do it myself. Even the planning of time! (五)大三出國建議

If you have the opportunity to meet foreign friends, don't be afraid to be shy and dare to talk to foreigners. Go and make friends with them because they may also want to meet you. Then go to club activities and school activities. The school often runs many East activities for international students. Every opportunity is very interesting and you can meet more friends. The purpose of going abroad is to practice language, more language communication and interaction, and certainly help to increase your language skills. During the year, American universities often take vacations, and I also used that time to go to different places. And I often recommend that you have the opportunity to go out and see the different places in the world. You will find that every state in the United States has its own special place. If you have the opportunity to work in school, you can also go and have a look. Although time will become more difficult to control. But you can learn more experience and, more importantly, you can make money to travel! Without SSN, you cannot apply for a job. SSN is like an American identity card. If you don't apply for SSN, I can't work in the US. This is very important. These things have also taken me for nearly a month. If you want to work in a school, you should remember to write the document as soon as possible. Because the school started in August, once it exceeds the time for applying for a job, it can only be processed in the next semester. In the course, I think the most special thing is that if you have a problem, people just raise their hand and ask the questions to the professor during the class. Moreover, teamwork in the group of the project is very important.(307字)
