Within this exchanging study period, I took the EAP Program in the first semester and I took three courses, which were Intro Game Programming, Web Technology and Fundamentals of Politics, in the last semester. Three of the courses what I had taken were good courses to enrol in. One of them called Fundamentals of Politics was taught by Dr Saunders. It consists of a general overview of some of the main themes, concepts, and issues relevant to the study of politics, such as power, the state, sovereignty, political parties, and elections. Dr Saunder was a nice and knowledgable person. If someone wants to learn something about politics, he definitely can choose Dr Saunder's courses and she will teach him most easily. However, She only will give a good grade to someone who is listening to her lessons and finish the homework following her guideline. Moreover, my last two courses called Intro Game Programming, and Web Technology are taught by Dr Richards. First, Intro Game Programming could be taken by a fourth-year student. this course required a bunch of professional skill such as advance mathematic ability, coding ability, and knowledge of algorithms. Second, Web Technology was an easier course to take and it was a second-year student course. In the course, a student could learn how to manage JavaScript and HTML to design an online website. About Dr Richards, He was a friendly professor to tell you something new. He preferred to teach with loads of enthusiasm and laughs. At the beginning of the lessons, he regularly greeted the class with various languages. And then, he taught much knowledge with many humorous jokes, so I never fall asleep in his teachings. Indeed, everyone could go to his office at any time to question everything. Overall, I will recommend Dr Richards courses. His courses are straightforward to pass but also can get a good grade.(313字)

(三)生活環境

In Manitoba where Brandon University is located, the weather in Brandon and other surrounding cities is very cold compared with Taiwan. Since late August, the temperature has continued to fall from 20 degrees. It has been snowing every day since early November, and the temperature is between 0 ° C and -40 ° C until the beginning of April. The school and dormitory have everything you need for academic purposes, and the school will host many interesting activities, group activities and sports competitions. When it comes to daily necessities, you can get daily necessities in Walmart and Real Canadian Superstore. If you want to buy cheap things, Dollarama is a good choice. For me, there is no need to pre-order winter clothes, snow boots, long shorts, etc. These well-known brands in Canada can be easily purchased at low prices and high quality, but I suggest you bring Taiwan's thermal underwear. Before you come, if you have any questions, you can contact Iris Wang, the agent of the International Student Office of Brandon University, and she will provide you with guidance. You can find her phone number and email by visiting the BU website. When you arrive in Canada, you will need to set up a bank account for transfer and payment. I will recommend a bank closest to the school with a Chinese consultant called Royal Bank of Canada. For those who want to eat Chinese dishes, you can find several Chinese and Asian restaurants on google map. I would recommend Kim's restaurant, because its curry fried rice, fried chicken, and pho soup are delicious.(261字)

Throughout the precious period that I had been through, I learned about some special experiences and skills that I would never meet in Taiwan. I went to Canada without my family, familiar food and culture. Although the time was laborious in academic respect, I felt that I gained a lot and knew myself more. There had several difficulties for me when I was in Canada. Firstly, the financial problem was one of the difficulties. People need to times 1.12% of tax fee in Manitoba on every product's price and sometimes you need to pay extra for tips in the store for their service, like restaurants etc. I took a long time to get used to this way of payment. Secondly, talking in English was necessary and the most difficult thing to get used to. It is easy to talk to anyone in my native language, but it is such a nightmare to talk in English anytime with Canadians. There had lots of opportunities to talk to people. For example, if you go to rent a car, you need to sign for the contract so that you need to understand everything to make sure the things like insurance and what kind of car you want to drive is okay before you rent it. Luckily, I made a lot of friends, so all the things could be done easier. Last but not least, academic difficulties is the worst part to handle. In Canada, their courses required tremendous work like writing papers, doing researches, and reading texts. It is my first time to deal with such a huge amount of work in one semester. Finally, I was proud of myself because I had overcome those difficulties and became a straight-A student.(287字)

(五)大三出國建議

There have several things need to be notice before you come to Canada. First, Don't think, don't hesitate. If you have any question about your study, you should straight forward to ask for your professor or advisor in the writing centre. We are studying in a foreign county; Therefore, we have a lot of questions want to ask. Canadians are very kind to help you so don't hesitate to let them assist you. It will allow you to meet new people and give you the ability to adapt to unknown situations. I learned a lot from aking them such as how to write an essay correctly and some of the culture. So, just do it without hesitation and it will be the best decision of your life. Secondly, studying abroad is very expensive compared to tuition and living expenses in Taiwan. So before joining any plan, please estimate how much time you will spend abroad. Needless to say, you need to have a passport to enter a foreign country or return to your hometown. But sometimes other documents like student visa and international driver's license are also needed. So before going out to play, you should make sure that you have those license. Finally, It is a good idea to arm yourself as much as possible before starting, but there is no way to prepare for everything. Be open to upcoming adventures. Any plan you make in advance will bring you benefits, but not knowing what will happen is part of the fun of travelling.(255字)
