2019大三出國輔導通報系統 - 留學心得報告[編輯]

(一)基本資料

I choose Maria Curie-Skłodowska University to study abroad. This university is located in Lublin, a big city of eastern Poland. I majored in Earth Sciences and Spatial Management. My Original plan was studying from October 2019 till July 2020. Unfortunately, due to the COVID-2019 so I came back to Taiwan this March.(51字)

(二)課程學習

I would recommend "abiotic resources in tourism" this class because it is more substantial and interesting. This course can be divided into two kind of teaching content and also there had totally five different teachers to teach us. The theme of this class on Tuesday was geology and on Friday was Hydrology. But overall, the main lesson of this course can be summarized in the field of geography. Actually, most of the content of this course which I had ever learned when I was in senior high school. But after graduating, there have seldom chances to let us contact this subject anymore so that I forgot some part of these knowledge. However, I retrieved some memories through taking this course. What gave me the most impression in this class is that a teacher once took us to visit grave. The main mission in that activity was that we need to recognize what kind of rock is belonging to this tomb, Quartz, hornblende or marble etc. That was my first time to see the foreign cemetery, its style is very different compared to ours. that activity not only let me experience the traditional customs of European countries but also insight into their cultural habits. Furthermore, there was another activity also make me feel amusing. The professors took us to a small town where named Nałęczów, and then we needed to use a measuring device to engage in a field survey activity in that place. The targets of measurement have temperature, chill, humidity, wind speed, noise and so on.To sum up,through this practical operation, it bring me a deeper impression and also let me know more knowledge about the field of natural phenomenon. (三)生活環境

First of all, my university is located in Lublin.If we would like to go to capital from Lublin,it has to take roughly three hours to get there by train.I think it is an inconvenient part for me. Because when we want to go to other European countries, we need to waste much time on transportation. And also, compared to the other big city in Poland, the life function of Lublin is not very well. But basically, I feel it is enough to me. At least, the environment around the university and dormitory has supermarket, plaza, pharmacy, coffee shop, restaurant and night club. What interesting and strange thing is that most of the shops are closed on Sunday. So we often need to buy some food in advance in order to avoid having nothing to eat. Secondly, the dormitory which I lived is named Femina.It is provided by university. I think it is considerate to our international students. Because we do not need to spend time on looking for the house. Moreover, the dormitory fee is economical and affordable. We have to pay PLN465(about TWD3700) once a month. Every rooms have two bedrooms, a sharing kitchen and a separate washroom and a bathroom in a space. I totally met three roommates while I lived there. Each of them comes from different country, respectively Italy, Romania and Turkey. It seems to me that it is a good chance to get along with foreigners and know their culture. The most important is that I can practice and improve my English ability. Finally, compared to Taiwan, the winter in European countries is chilly for us. But it is said that the winter in 2020 was not too cold. I think it is an apparently thing that I can experience. I don’t know this kind of situation is lucky for us or not. But I still remember clearly that I was very excited when I first time saw the snow scene. (331字)

(四)自我成長

I faced some difficulties during the period of mine studying abroad. No matter study or life, there always will be something unlucky things happened to me. Such as the part of study, I selected the polish language this course to learn. This language is more difficult than English, its grammar is complicated and some vocabularies is hard to pronounce. But the most unbearable thing for me was a teacher’s teaching method. He always used polish language to explain something instead of English. It made me feel confused and incomprehensible. Thus, I took pains with this course. There had many ideals occurred in my mind that was I wanted to give up. Through many times of inner struggle, I still insisted to go to this class and learn this language. I think that I may just have one opportunity to learn this language in my life. Despite I feel painful during this period, but I think the most important thing is I need to find some solution to overcome this problem. Then I must can gain some ability and experience in the end. Next, the part of life, I also encountered one thing which was impressed me the most. I went to other European countries to travel during the period of Christmas holiday. When I arrived to the Belgium then my cellphone be stolen. I felt helpless at that moment but I told to myself I can’t be panic. So I ran to the police office to ask for help immediately. Unfortunately, I still cannot find my cellphone back. This thing let me realized that I need to keep alert anytime when I go outside, because there is a lot of crime in European countries. The most important thing is no matter what happens, we need to calm down to solve the problem and don’t be afraid to ask for help. (313字)

(五)大三出國建議

If you choose this university to study, I’d like to share my experience and some useful information with you. (1)You should do some assignment before going to Poland it may help more smoothly. Such as what kind of ticket you should buy and which subway line you should take. (2)These APPs are practical when you are in Europe so you can consider to download it: Bolt, iTaxi.pl, Uber , Jakdojade, FlixBus, Ryanair etc. (3)I will recommend a travel book if you want to know more information about Poland or you want to visit some famous city in Poland, that is”波蘭自助超簡單” this book. It will very useful to you . (4)The ESNcard will be a useful card when you are in Europe. I suggest that you can apply for it. With it, you can enjoy plenty of discounts. Especially, Ryanair and Flixbus. (5)The weather in Europe is very cold so you don’t need to bring too much short clothes. (6)Poland have less Asia shop and food. So you can bring some Taiwanese food to there if you will miss hometown flavor or you can share it to your foreign friends. (190字)
