2019大三出國輔導通報系統 - 留學心得報告[編輯]

(一)基本資料

Uniwersytet Marii Curie-Skłodowskiej is located at Lublin, it has ten faculties, each of them has different building and located at the whole Lublin separately. This university has roughly 80 foreign students who are through ERASMUS program to get here. Except for Tamkang University’s student, there are less asian students. (50字)

(二)課程學習

My favorite class is Foreign language for the travel and tourism industry. In this course, we have three professors, some is for learning part, others are for practical part, and they all have different schedule time. We have 7-8 students in this class. There's two part in this course. The first one is learning part, professor will ask many questions to make us keep thinking during the class. Most of students will express their ideas, too. Sometimes, some students and professor will have a dispute, it’s not a big deal. Because it's common that people will have different opinions on one thing. What's more, it’s good to see students and professor have a interaction in class, this make whole class isn’t so boring, and make students fell more participation. As for practical part, we will do lots of exercises on reading and listening exercises in class and practice writing at home. It’s like an assignment every week. Good to mention that professor will review every question in the end of every class. Our question will be solved immediately. Also, if we have questions, classmates and professor are willing to help each other. I think that's because the size of class isn’t big, and the students are all meet in last semester, they’re familiar with each other. This class is full of happiness, students are nice to cooperate, and so do professors are all friendly. Generally speaking, the phenomenon of class in Poland isn’t like Taiwan. Always professor are talking and students less talk in class. Professor will have a good interaction with students. They are all nice, and also in UMCS. Coordinator in our faculty is affability and willing to help us to deal with lots of things in our faculty. All in all, it’s a really nice experience to study in Lublin in Poland. (313字)

(三)生活環境

We have the best dormitory in UMCS, there’s one bathroom, one shower room, one kitchen, two rooms, and each room lives two people. In the kitchen, we have a big oven, refrigerator, and four induction cookers. We also have the washing machine in the bathroom. The bedroom is not really big, and there's one wardrobe, one desk, and one single bed for each student. Near our dormitory, we have a small gym with swimming pool, and lots of spaces for exercise. It take about 7 minutes to get bus stop, and there are lots of bus stops. As for student restaurant and small supermarket, Stokrotka, are all in 5 minutes from dormitory on foot. As for earth science faculty, it took 15 minutes to get there. Besides, there have two big shopping mall near the dormitory, you can buy almost everything you need there. Reaching old town and castle is roughly in 20 minutes on foot. It took approximately 20 minutes to get train station by bus . It took almost three hours to get to capital, Warsaw. For me, the most difficult part is go to airport in Warsaw. The whether in Warsaw is cold and dry, it’s better to buy clothes and coat there, and remember, Europe always have discounts on specific date,such as black Friday. Or the shopping mall will hold activities, you can make good use of buying lots of stuff you need at that period of time. Mostly Poland’s restaurant are not bad, I suggest thai story retaurant, it’s near old town, and every dishes are great. (261字)

(四)自我成長

In this year, I meet lots of people from all over the world. I learned a lot after having a communication with them. I feel I have a more open heart to accept new things and get used to it quickly. I also participate in international volunteer team in Lublin. This organization will hold every kinds of activities in each half of year. We will have a meeting every Tuesday. They specific to help kids who have mental problems in hospital. The most difficult part is language, Polish seldom speak in English. So, it’s a big problem to communicate with them in daily life. No matter in open bank or order a meal from Polish menu. On the contrary, I try my best to learn Polish, but it’s not enough. It limits me to join some activities in some way. I hope university can have some basic Polish lesson in TKU, or students learn Polish by themselves. They can’t speak in English and we can’t speak Polish, this is a unsolved and tough problem. It necessary to take language into consideration for choosing Poland as an exchange university. The way of Polish life style is also different than Taiwan, it’s not so hustle and bustle and breakfast shops everywhere in the morning. On the contrary, the life style of Polish is more leisure, and there’s no so much scooter on the road. As far as my concerned, my biggest growth must be in mental aspect. (251字)

(五)大三出國建議

Don’t always hang out with same country’s friends. It’s a good time to meet foreign friends. Also, taking part in any activities positively, so that you can more enjoy foreign culture there. UMCS’s erasmus student always make a group on Facebook and Wechat. There have lots of useful information about academic or hold activities frequently. Sometimes, they also form courses group on Instagram. They’ll add you after the class. Poland also have a convenient transportation system, you can rent a bike and give it back in different location. They have lots of location surely. It’s like ubike in Taoyuan. I think it’s a good way to travel in the city and good transportation in normal life. You can make good use of this system in Poland. Except for the aspect of university, trying to make a detail schedule and write down where and when you wanna go in advance. Because the price of ticket and accommodation are more expensive greatly when you book nearly the actual date you go. I suggest filx bus, ecoline, and omio to book bus and train ticket. But, be care of that Ryanair is located at Modlin airport, it’s far away from city central. Wizz air is better choice to travel around europe from Poland. Don’t forget to do online check in before 24 hours of boarding. In briefly, plan everything well and you can like the life you’re living. On the other hands, you can live the life you like. (255字)

(六)其他

I take part in NAWA program by chance. It starts before UMCS's courses begin. They hold activities every weekend as well as prepare traditional polish cuisines everyday. This program help me get rid of the fear of coming to Poland and have an opportunity to learn Polish and experience Polish culture deeply. I suggest everyone join this program. (58字)
