2019大三出國輔導通報系統 - 留學心得報告[編輯]

(一)基本資料

I studied in earth sciences and spatial management of Maria Curie-Sklodowska university during the year to study abroad. This university was located in Lublin which is the city in Poland. I came back to Taiwan in the second semester because of COVID-19. The courses I chose were Abiotic resources in tourism, Cultural tourism, Tourism trade fairs and Polish as a foreign for beginners.(63字)

(二)課程學習

When I studied in UMCS, the impressive course was Abiotic resources in tourism. At the beginning of this class, I didn’t know what I will learn from it. I couldn’t really understand the meaning of the title. After the course, I think it’s a good chance to learn about the environment. There were five teachers in this topic. Each of them taught different things to introduce the earth. Also, the teachers had some field trips to assist us to understand more about the place in Lublin. I still remembered the first trip. The teachers brought us to a town. They introduced the small place first then they gave us the test instruments to do the notes by ourselves. Due to the study of each different group, we knew that every place showed the distinctive humidity, wind speed, temperature and decibel of sound. Besides, we went to the special place to see the professional equipment to measure the weather. Then, we end this unforgettable trip. The second trip we went to the cemetery. The teacher wanted us to identify the rock which the builder used of tombstone. We accepted the new knowledge and also see the custom of graving sweeping in Poland. From this course, teachers let us know how important to protect the environment of earth, how critical the water balance the earth and the climate change intensely nowadays. These issues all talk about we need to cherish the earth. In addition to these, we realized the categories of volcanic. To see how amazing the earth was. After taking this class, I think everyone from it will never forget what we learned. The teachers used actual examples to make us experience by ourselves. Because five teachers had their style to teach the lessons, we didn’t feel tried to go to the class. It’s a course that students cannot miss. (314字)

(三)生活環境

We arrived at Poland on twenty-sixth September. It was still fall in Lublin. The leaves of tree were yellow and the temperature was comfortable. I really like the weather in this country. Before I went to this place, I looked forward to the snowy. Although I had seen it few years ago, I still wanted to see again. Unfortunately, I touched the snow only three times in Poland because 2019 was a green winter. It’s pity for us to see more snow but having a warm semester when studying in east Europe. The faculty of earth sciences and spatial management was near around our dormitory. It took us fifteen to twenty minutes to go there. This faculty was beside the faculty of art. The students could choose the courses from others by asking the coordinator of the faculty. The accommodation that the school provided to us was Femina which was the most expensive but the best comparing to others. I liked our dormitory very much. We had our kitchen to cook by ourselves. Even we had our own washing machine so that we didn’t need to use the public ones. The dishes of Poland were not really fit my taste. The staple food were potato, bread and meat. I enjoy the tai food around our dormitory. The cuisine of south Asian were lot in Lublin. They were taste like the food in Taiwan. The transportation of this country included train, bus and bicycle. We always take the train and bus to travel to another city. The price of the transportation of students was cheap. The seats were clean and comfortable. It’s convenient if we plan usefully. (278字)

(四)自我成長

After arriving to Poland, I found that the English is not the language most of people could talk and understand. The members of bank, shop and restaurant didn’t know how to communicate with us. They used polish to explain, but all of us cannot speak polish. It’s a big problem to ask for the help. Every time we need to find the one who could speak polish and English first then buy or ask something. Luckily, the school will let us to have the course to learn some easy words of Polish. Hence, we could understand the basic words. The other thing was that in this country the drivers always let the pedestrians to pass across the road. It’s a good way to protect people. But in Taiwan was different. We didn’t have this habit. It caused that when we passed through, we just walk quickly and won’t make the drivers to wait for too much. It’s weird for other people who lived in Europe. The view of the mask was also different. In most of European countries, they think if we wear it, it showed that we were sick seriously or the content of policy said that citizen could not allow to wear because the police could not tell the face. Although COVID-19 appeared in their countries, they insisted in refusing wearing mask for a while. Actually, in Asian countries, we think the mask not only protect ourselves but also avoid us to have this kind of disease. To be honest, we should adapt the things which was special for us. And we need to respect others culture and custom. However, the appropriate judgment would be more important. (285字)

(五)大三出國建議

The first thing was that the money. I suggested that to bring like two thousand European dollars when you went to Poland. Because you need to exchange some in the first until having a bank account. The rest of the money you could put in the dormitory then when needed you could use. Because if you deposit the money in the bank, you need to go to the bank to ask for withdrawing. The countries in Europe use European dollars, you must want to travel other places. It could save the time to do this step again. While opening a ne account, you can ask them to open a student one. It could have some discount. The second thing was the transportation to travel in Europe. Ryan airplane was a good choice. It was cheap and when you get EAN card, you could save more money. But it should be note that the airport that this company choose was always remote in every country. You should consider it and have a comprehensive plan. I didn’t suggest you to take the bus or transnational train. It usually took lots of time to arrive other country. If you spent most of time to the traffic, you won’t have energy to play. The third thing was the safety. Although the countries looked safe and no crime, the thief like to steal the valuable products from the tourists. They were professional and if you lose something, it couldn’t be founded again. To protect yourself was the necessary thing you need to do. Nothing more important than it. (266字)
