2019大三出國輔導通報系統 - 留學心得報告[編輯]

(一)基本資料

My school is the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT), and many of its buildings are located in Melbourne. Our major is International business, and we can earn a diploma after completing a one-year course.(35字)

(二)課程學習

To get a diploma, we need to study for two semesters. In the first semester, we have four subjects, accounting, promote products and services, Lead and manage team, and analysis of consumer behaviour. There are also four subjects in the second semester, namely: contract negotiation, international market overview, forecasting business and analyzing data. We do not have mid-term or final exams, so each subject has many assessments. In addition, all our professors and school staff are very friendly to us. They make us understand the school environment and how to take the tram from home to school... and so on. Unfortunately, we switched to online courses in the second semester, and we need to wake up at 5:30 in Taiwan time to join the class and also complete the assignments ourselves. This is an unforgettable memory, although we still miss the face-to-face classroom and the voice of the teacher. Studying abroad is indeed different for us. For example, our professors prefer us to call them by their names rather than "teacher", or when we hold group meetings, some students from other countries have a completely different idea with us. However, all cultural differences have broadened our horizons and realized that Taiwan is really small. At this moment, I still want to go back to RMIT. I think what I have learned from the classroom is really useful in the future, and can also improve my English writing skill. In addition, I think classmates are also very important. Sometimes we miss the class. They can carry us or tell us what the homework is. Of course, we help each other. In summary, thanks to my other four friends, without their help, I don’t think I can finish my works smoothly. The picture shows the group photo of our five Taiwanese with our school.(302字)

(三)生活環境

RMIT does not provide dormitories for students, so we all rent apartments as our residence in Melbourne! For me, this is a very special experience because I have never rented a house before. This is the first time I have lived with a friend. We can cook together, sleep together, and even wake up together. Although we moved three times in nine-month, it's tiring, but all become good memories now. I miss my roommate and my home, it's free to live in Melbourne. In addition, the weather in Melbourne is ideal. After coming here, my skin is getting better and better, which is why Melbourne is the most livable city. When it comes to Melbourne is shopping, usually, there are many discounts on Boxing Day or Christmas, then we always get happy in department stores! But it's a pity that because of the virus, we need to come back to Taiwan early than we planned, the last scene for me of Melbourne is depression, deserted and no energy, I think it will be a big pity for me. I hope to have the opportunity to return to Melbourne to play in the future. We had planned to go to New Zealand in April. Because of the coronavirus, all of us returned to Taiwan in March. I don’t know if we can go back, but I know that 2020 is a damn year.(232字)

(四)自我成長

I got a part-time job in Melbourne. This is my first time working abroad. I'm the sever in Honk Kong restaurant. I think everything is very novel and interesting, it makes me grow and makes me progress. Although sometimes the job makes me feel stressed and wants to give up, then, I'll tell myself "I can do it". Although every time I said I want to resign or find the new job, I adapt more and more to the environment and met the news friends, both reasons keep me going. I work every day, it's tiring but I earn a lot of money, so I can go shopping and play everywhere. Jokingly, living in Melbourne is really expensive, my salary didn't enough to pat the rent, it let me know, without parental help, I can't study abroad or even work abroad by myself. This makes me grow and know it's hard to make money. In addition, I met news foreign friend in the restaurant, all of them is my motivation to work, I eat with them and play with them, I can't believe I can meet the new foreign friends and maintain a close relationship with them. It's an unforgettable memory for me to working abroad and meet new foreign friends, everything broadened my horizons! I really miss my colleagues now! Wish all of them to stay safe in Melbourne. (五)大三出國建議

In summary, RMIT is a good school, because we have many assessments and tests, so we can learn from each assessment and also practice English writing. Although I think our school tuition is a bit high, because we have two semesters, we certainly need to pay more than other schools. In addition, sometimes our assessment is very difficult, we can not understand how to answer the question, and then we asked the teacher, we also did not get an answer. I think this is a problem that we cannot solve ourselves. Another problem is that their processing speed is very slow. In March, the epidemic in Melbourne was really serious and out of control. Basically, all universities have changed to online courses, but RMIT has not dealt with the problem. We still need to go to school and conduct face-to-face learning, but our foreign students do not have the concept of epidemic prevention. Every time we go to school, we feel very scared. But in general, I don't regret choosing RMIT as my exchange school, we all have good memories. I think I also need to mention the advantages of the school, probably because we paid a lot of tuition fees, the equipment provided by the school is very advanced, and the school can also help students modify their resumes and help them find job opportunities. I think RMIT is very helpful when I am looking for a job. And also, the teachers are really kind to us and always help us in terms of life. (256字)
