(一)基本資料

It has always been my dream to study abroad. I yearn for western culture and lively campus life very much. This is my first time to study abroad. I was supposed to go abroad in my sophomore year, but I put it off until my senior year. In fact, before I arrived in the United States, I was full of expectations but also full of the unknown. Half a year before I went abroad, I tried my best to pass the TOFEL test and learn English conversation. I often exchange experiences of going abroad with my friends. I am very grateful to my family for their support and support at that time, and my teachers and classmates also encouraged me to go abroad alone. In August, I arrived in the United States. After three flights and a taxi, I was very tired after a day and a night's flight. I was so flustered and scared that I had to use English at the airport to handle the flight ticket, transfer, baggage search, boarding gate and so on, which made me very scared. I didn't expect to have so many things to deal with, and I was alone with my heavy luggage, searching for resources to solve the immediate emergency. I have also sought help from my relatives and friends in Taiwan, but through experience after experience, I have learned that when I go out, I should not only rely on myself, but also have the good luck to meet the kind local people. (二)課程學習

In fact, it was very difficult for me to study in the United States, as my English is not so good. However, the reading atmosphere in the United States is completely different from that in Taiwan. The professors are very methodical, explaining all the rules and personal principles in class and earnestly implementing them. College students in the United States are very happy and have many leisure activities, such as American football or relatively static board games. But they are very devoted and attach importance to the schoolwork. Since I was taught in English and my classmates came from all over the world, the accent was an insurmountable problem for me. I tried my best to figure out the accent so as to improve my oral English. And I also chose Japanese class and Korean class, I really struggle, because I am not familiar with the language to learn a new language, I feel very frustrated and helpless. I often stayed up late to studying hard. I also had trouble with my homework, so I usually hand in my homework late. Although I worked very hard and tired these two semesters, I still passed the exam. (196字)

(三)生活環境

When I arrived at the school and saw the vast campus, I had the real feeling of stepping into the United States. On the way into the dormitory, I looked at the western-style buildings in the university, the wide campus and the students from all over the world, and I felt that this was the environment I longed for. The moment I entered the dormitory, I immediately felt the difference between Taiwan and the United States. The height and length of the beds are in line with those made by westerners. Chairs and tables are also much larger than in Taiwan’s. My roommate is black, a friendly roommate but very shy. Often see him with friends playing video games or listening to music until midnight, to tell the truth is not used to. (134字)

(四)自我成長

I cannot alone or concerns from a lot of things, until now I can handle all the problems alone. After I found to the travel agency, I traveled to the western American alone. I carried my luggage alone and knew everyone on the trip, men, women and children come from different places and countries. I listened to their stories and experiences. At the same time, I realized that I was like them, both in pursuit of freedom and sharing the beauty of the world with my partner. Although I traveled alone and came to the United States alone, and faced many contingencies, I still took care of my family in Taiwan with my schoolwork. Although I was hard working, I recorded every moment wherever I went. I look forward to sharing my joy with them and seeing my growth.(139字)

(五)大三出國建議

I returned to Taiwan early because of the epidemic. I think the happy mood is more than the pity. The moment I saw my family and girlfriend, I felt very happy. Knowing that they are safe and healthy. They think I'm getting fat, too. They were even happier that I was finally back in Taiwan. After returning to Taiwan, I did not rest for long. Living in the United States for almost a year, my oral English has improved a lot. In order to maintain my English-speaking ability, I often watch English videos and study websites online. I also keep in touch with foreign students studying in the United States. Now I am preparing to take the TOEIC. I am about to leave society, and I cherish the opportunity to study abroad last year. I understand that English is very important. Now I am studying English very seriously. I look forward to finding a good job. Also, I hope I can keep the knowledge I learned in the United States in my heart deeply. My future dream is to study and work abroad. I always remember the scenery and people of every journey in USA. I look forward to taking my family and girlfriend around the world in the future. Leave beautiful memories and scenery. I remember when I met an Indonesian couple during my journey in the United States. They told me that I should pursue my dreams and expand my horizons. Finally, they told me that in difficult things, after seeing the magnificent scenery of the world, you will find that the world is so large. Everything is a drop in the bucket.
