My favorite class in California State University Long Beach is Gender, Race, Sex and the body. I choose this class due to one of my friend choose this class in her first semester and she recommended this class to me. She said it was a meaningful class. She learned a lot from the professor no matter on the gender issues or to know about herself. I choose professor Lori Baralt's class. Her class teaching method is a bit different with other professors in my perspective. She went through all the ideas and points of the study with conversations between us students and her. She likes to let us talk and throw out our ideas about the topic. All my classmates likes to talk about their perspectives and their experiences. Due to the diversity of everyone's nationalities I could know how others people think. This is what I thought really good about this class and what I like about. What I learned from Gender, Race, Sex and the body class is about social constructions of race, gender and sexuality as well as gendered aspects of health and sexuality such as body image, sexual health, and sexual and gendered violence in the context of sexism, racism, heterosexism, and cissexism. From her class work and assignments are encouraged me to advance self- awareness and knowledge, critical thinking and written communication skills. After all, I learned not only know what is feminist but also how all women in the history and now are struggling in this world. Although now what I look into the society it looks like a fair world but look into deep there are still a lot of rights we need to fix and erge to earn. A better know of myself is also what I get from this class. To know yourself better is more important than anything you want. (310字)

(三)生活環境

California State University Long Beach is a very big campus. If you want to walk from upper campus to lower campus you need about 15 to 20 minuets to finish. Also due to the verity of buildings you might lost at first you arrive. I took a lot of time to get to know all the positions of my classrooms. It's a suffer for every student at first. In campus there are a lot of convenes too. For example dinners. There are a lot of dinners or convince shops that you can buy food, drinks or small equipments. Also you can find some delicious food in some dinners. There are variety of the choices, so you don't need to worry about you need to keep eating same food when for breakfast or lunch. Also there are microwaves for people bring there own food to school and need to warm. Another good part about California State University Long Beach is there is a very big gym. Once you signed up for it you can use it for the entire semester. In California it barely rains which is amazing for me. I hates rain a lot. I can even count the time that rains in this entire year. The beautiful sunset in Long Beach is what you don't want to miss everyday. It difference everyday but it still amaze me every time. Long Beach is a very convenient location, you could go to Los Angelas in 40 minutes by car and Irvin in 30 minutes by car. (251字)

(四)自我成長

This is my first time study in the U.S. but it went better than I thought. I felt the culture difference, but in a good way. I tried to mix it into my own living style and I can feel a better me when I finished this year of studying abroad. I made a lot of friends this year form many different countries. We are still keeping in touch with each other. One of the difficulty I got in the U.S. is when we order food in the restrants. Sometimes it's hard to know what it contains in the food when there is no pictures or no Chinese on the menu. We need to look it up on Google to know what it is. At first we took a lot of time to look through the menu to order. Later on, we are familiar with some of the words than we can deal with it smoothly. Another part is the tipping policy. At first we obeys it a lot but later we asked some American about the tipping policy, they said they sometimes didn't give tip, it's all depend on yourself whether you want or not. That was also a big part. Of course the hardest part is the online course. We used zoom to keep learning. But due to the jet lag between the two countries it is definitely a challenge. Some classes got final team projects, to match the time with other team mates in another country is not easy but finally we all get though it and get a flying score. That was definitely a different kind of experience and all the professors are very kind and understanding for us study abroad students. (288字)

(五)大三出國建議

For those who wanted to go study at California State University Long Beach what I recommend is to rent a car. No matter you need to go shopping, go to LA, to see some views or meet a friend in another city. It will be very convenient if you have a car. You might thought a 10 minuets walking distance is not far but adding the crazily hot temperature in California what you would get is sun burn and regrets of not having a car. Uber is also fine and very convince but the prince is very high. Every price in the U.S. is high but if you want to buy trend brands like Supreme or Adidas etc. It is a very good place to spend your money at. For girls, cosmetics are also a good choice. For those who are going to ALI I want to say that it's definitely not a wast of time. It actually gives you a lot of help on your future studies. Also there you would meet a lot of students from many other countries. You could learn a lot from them. Finally, enjoy the time. Spend those time on meaningful places. No matter it is study or party. You are experiencing the culture. Meet amazing friends there that you can be friends for life. Make your money or your parents' money count. Hope you all have a great time when you study abroad.
