2019大三出國輔導通報系統 - 留學心得報告[編輯]

(一)基本資料

I study in University of Warsaw located in Warsaw, Poland. although Poland is a non English speaking country but many young people can speak English so there will be no problem living in here. The university provide many course taught in English. In the first semester I registered for Basic Economic Concept, Information Warfare and Polish Language Course.(58字)

(二)課程學習

During this year, my favorite course is definitely polish language course. When I first encounter this language I was really confusing because the grammar structure is very different from Chinese. There was too much new thing and new concept to learn. I had a very hard time in the first month. But the teaching method used in Warsaw university is effective. The class usually consist of 10 to 15 people, in this way the teacher can cover every students and help everyone with their problems. The class is taught in polish, in this way, we can get used to this language. In the class teacher prepare a theme related article and ask every students to read the article. And every students have to answer the question. This is a good way for the shy students or some students who don’t ask the teacher even when they don’t understand the question. Our teacher professer Pamela is a energitic person. In the beginning of every class, she ask us how was our day and we have to answer in polish. During the class she provide little games to help us learn better and she encourages the students who can’t catch up with the class to speak and praise the students that behave well. Step by step, I begin to know the pattern in the grammar and I memorized more and more word. After the first semester, I can do a full self introduction in polish without watching any notes. And I have no problem in ordering food in restaurant in polish. Some people think learning polish is useless because you can only use it in Poland but that was actually wrong. Being part of Slavic languages system, polish is close to Russian and many language in eastern Europe. That is why learning polish can be a step forward in learning Slavic language. If you are interest in Warsaw university, I recommend you to choose this class. (325字)

(三)生活環境

We live near the center of Warsaw. Warsaw is a big city but thanks to the complete transportation system, we can easily go around the city. For the most of the time we take tram or bus to move around. They provide 4 different ticket: 20, 75 and 90 minutes and 24 hours. You have to count the approximate time you need and buy the ticket. Be careful, because the ticket checking system is very strictly, anyone without a ticket or the ticket is not valid or even if you bought the reduced ticket without student card, you will be fined 120PLN about 1000TWD. In the city center, we have the biggest shopping mall and the train station combined together, it’s kind of like Taipei train station. You can buy anything you need in the station. Warsaw have the world famous Warsaw old town, the first time I went to the old town I was very shocked. It almost felt like I entered a fairy tale world. The view is absolutely astonishing. About food, I think most Asian people can’t get used to the polish diet. They have many sour cold dishes and the main dishes is usually pork or chicken, and the seasoning is always salty and sour. But don’t worry, because there is many Asian restaurants in Warsaw. Last but not least, I suggest everyone who want to come to Warsaw university to bring more long sleeve shirts and jacket. It can be really cold in Warsaw, even in summer the temperature will come down to 7 or 8 degree Celsius. The in winter it’s usually –1 to –10 degree. (267字)

(四)自我成長

In the beginning, I was very nervous because I don’t know anyone in the class and most of them came from various country such as Germany, Lithuania, Belarus and many others. So I have to force myself to talk to others. It was really hard but after I take the first step and talk with a Lithuanian girl. I was happy that I can chat with other foreigner and I discovered that we have a huge cultural differences. I felt very lucky that I have the opportunity to interact with foreigner with my same age. We can exchange information of our country with each other, for example, I talked about some relation between Taiwan and China and the problem behind it, and my American friend talked about how he hate president Trump. Living on my own can really help me become more independence. We have to find a place to live, contact with the landlord. Prepared everything we need to live. And if anything wrong happen about the school system or the problem about register to the course, we have to call the school operator or find a solution online. Talking about boarding my horizon, I wasn’t just saying. I traveled to 11 countries in this year. Many country is something you will never understand if you don’t come and feel it. One of my favorite is Bosnia, it was a great country that filled with amazing culture and beautiful view but during the 1990s this country was suffering in independence war which destroyed many good thing. You can feel the street was desolate and sorrow in the war area. (272字)

(五)大三出國建議

Poland is a non English speaking country, although you can still live without saying Polish but I really encourage you to attend the Polish course. It definitely can help your everyday life in Poland. It may take some time to adapt to the duration of sunshine. In summer, sun won’t come down until 9p.m. but in the winter, sun rise after 8a.m and come down in 4p.m. Talking about food, Polish food isn’t like any western food. Polish diet has a huge difference with our Asian food. And Asian restaurants are usually expensive so I suggest you to learn how to cook. At the first semester, I don’t suggest you to register to too many course because some course have too many work and it can be taught very differently compare to Taiwan. (139字)
