2019大三出國輔導通報系統 - 留學心得報告[編輯]

(二)課程學習

The experience of learning in the foreign country is amazing, but some obstacles that can’t be avoid, like the language should be use to and the way of teaching is kind of different, I’ll take my most impressive class I had among the year for the example, the Spanish 101 which I’d took it on 2nd semester. First we have to realized that American usually don’t speak Spanish but can heard, similar to some of the Taiwanese who understand Fuchan language but not able to saying that, because their government put emphasize on students’ global competitiveness, arranging them to take foreign language before enter the college, and most of them study in Spanish due to the geo. However, the Professor might know the situation so she keep promise that the courses is suitable for people who ever touched Spanish as well. Then there still got plenty of problems, and I think the main reason is she taught her class with 50 percent of Spanish, the strategy for people who had Spanish before may be easily to catch up with, so I have to figure out some ways to realize what’s going on. Though most of the paragraph are complaint, there’s still lot of advantages and good reason to choose this course. First of all, I have to say the professor is extremely nice, she’s doing effort on making a better learning experiences for students, each advice will be discussing with you and present a better way out. Second, diversity of course activities, you’ll able to get involve in different situation with conversation or learn more cultural differences through enjoy the movie series and etc. at last but not the least, also the point that you concern the most, and is “No Final Exam”. So, if you’re interested in foreign language and tend to a flexible way to learn, then SPAN 101 will be you best choice. By the way, I am strongly recommending you guys to visit middle and south America during the vacation, enjoying the fascinating landscape and the hostable people, I bet it would be an unforgettable one of your study abroad program. (三)生活環境

Winona is quite a small town of Minnesota, and it’s snow usually begin from October to April, during the period the road were covered by the heavy snow and it’s only -20 degree outside the building, so there’s not many entertainments can do, but still able to fulfill the daily necessary, we’re just living on the place where only take three-minute walk from campus, so basically that’s not a problem for travel to campus. Then for the dining and necessaries, we usually made our own meal every day, because there’s only student café and few pizza store around our apartment, and the main point is the food there isn’t that good and cost 10 dollars on average, so we need to take 15 minutes walk to the nearest market called “Midtown Foods” to purchase the food and daily necessaries, or you can also travel to Walmart, Target or even Hyvee by ordering the taxi, which you’re able find the coat for winter or get you self a blanket to get through the winter. By the way, if you’re cooking addicted you’ll definite to explore the butcher store around the town, you’ll got some surprise there. And if you like to travel around the country then you should check this out, normally you have two way to travel out of MN, take shuttle to Minneapolis the down town of MN, then transfer to the domestic airline, or you can take the train from Winona Station to travel through Wisconsin and normally heading to Chicago, but if you like to visit somewhere with long distance I’ll still recommend the flight, cause it take about five hours merely from Winona to Chicago, so if you check the distance you’ll know what I’m talking about. For me, Winona is still a nice like to choice for your abroad program if you like a place with seasons that you’ll able to have outdoor activities with your friends after the barbecue or the picnic, is quite a fun place for you to discover more. In addition, if you’re think it’s still boring here you may try the part time job offered by campus, turn you leisure time into real cash will be a great choice. (384字)

(四)自我成長

Being patience and responsible is the only way to survive in the U.S. I have to say, as you know they emphasis on their living quality, so they won’t work overtime usually, this concept decreases the effectiveness on their job no matter on the government or personal business, causing a long processing, even my application has been ignoring for 3 times, then finally got the document of applying the social security number, but before I received my document, it still takes almost a month for trailing my application. Therefore, you’ll realize the importance of patience and responsible. Frankly, this is the first job I have in my life so far, so it takes more time for me than those who had experiences before, and you have to switch on different position on daily basis, so I started to observe carefully on every detail for handle the job more effectively, and try to communicate with my poor English. However, it did work, after familiar with the job I got more confidence on it, able to be helpful into the team, making me feeling like in the family. To sum up, I have find out you can only rely on yourself, because no one else need to look after you, and you got no backup when things happen, like you’ll need to arrange for your own finance, academy or even the trip arrangement, unfortunately, if you got some situation, you’ll know how’s the hell like, but I found that I’ve become more mature on dealing with the situations, and got ways to solving the problems, all of this, thank to those experiences. (五)大三出國建議

1. Never felt shy or embarrassed for asking, no one will laugh or being annoyed by communicate with you, instead, they'll try kinds of way to figuring out your idea. 2. then talk as much as you can, I think Americans are quite friendly and talkative, they're love to share their idea and enjoy to listen to yours, you'll definitely got surprises during the chatting. 3.If you like to go on a trip, try to purchase the ticket on the official site, though a little bit more expensive, but trust me, it will be worthy, I believe you'll like your money back if the schedule changed, right? (六)其他

Some advises for travel: 1. Domestic flight usually contained no checking luggage, you are able to pay online or purchase when you about to check in. Cards only! 2. The basic arrange of tip is around 10~15 percent, and up to unlimited. 3. Always have your passport or the important stuffs with you, especially for those who drive, because I'll surely you want to keep your window complete. 4. Enjoy and don't forget to create memory for your trip.(74字)
