I would say my favorite class was French class, the professor is nice, friendly, and hilarious. One of the reasons that I like him is that he's very considerate, like our pronunciation, grammar, writing. he is detail but not strick. The schedule was not hurrying, he told us he understands that we are not French speakers so he would teach us slowly, which I really enjoyed and I think the speed of his teaching really helped me a lot in learning French, in comparison to Spanish class that I had taken in the same semester. (三)生活環境

The campus of CSULB is huge, for my curriculum as an example, I had to walk around 15 minutes between classes, and the campus is covered by lots of trees and grasses, you can see squirrels running around and you can take a nap under a tree. Or if you have a busy schedule you can go prepare the materials for your next class in the library which has a Starbucks store in it, isn't it wonderful? Once you stepped into southern California, you will not want to come back, the weather is ideal that you can't imagine without visiting, to be honest, I don't know how to discribe how perfect it is, and I am not exaggerating, but I could feel the energy in the air, and as the Californians said, California is blessed by the God. Okay, I know you guys are wondering how the food is over there, let me tell you, they have so many kinds of food that are from so many different cultures from the world, which are pretty authentic, so forget about that you will going to have homesick in LA. (四)自我成長

It's normal if you feel the pressure on the first day at school, I mean it is a totally different environment, but be aware that it performs a totally different way of teaching as well. Let's get straight into the point, SHARING IDEAS are very important in Western countries. Whether it is in class or in social conversations in life after their statements had said, they will ask you "what do you think". this ain't joking around, no matter you wanna agree with them, disagree with their point of view, or even give them an ambiguous response, just never say "I don't know.", "I don't know" it's like you just gave yourself an execution in the discussion. So you have to train yourself to think, build some muscles in your brain, just remember CRITICAL THINKING! Always keep that in mind. This next part is going to be a little personal, I just wanna share this in case some of you might have a lot, I mean literally a lot - a lot of insecurities about yourself, if you feel like you don't fit in the world for no matter reasons, I want you to know that CA is a place that is filled with many different kinds of people, and they have one of the most liberal lifestyles in the world, which I think that is not our country having right now. What I've learned from CA is CONFIDENCE, be who you want to be, express yourself, instead of judgmental comments Californians will give you support and applause. And speaking of how accepting CA is and how chatty it is, I want to let you know about one of their social skills, which I think is pretty useful and common, and don't worry, this is not going to be "Hello, how are you?" , "Yo dude, what's up", or " Hi, so nice to meet you" something we have already known since a long time ago, so without further ado, let's imagine a scenario, which happens in Taiwan, and if a stranger walk passes you and tells you "Hey, I really like your style, and you look pretty in it." How would you feel? Freacking strange right? But in fact, In California complements are everywhere, even you think the shirt of the person you are talking to is ugly as hell, but like I told you, chatty and accepting. So don't hold back or be shy, just say he or she looks good, it won't hurt you, in fact, you just made a person's day, so why not? Once you got there, you will understand what I'm talking about, the technic of sugarcoating, and the feeling of their sugariness ooze into your bones. (451字)

(五)大三出國建議

Since you have decided to go study abroad, make some resolutions as well, just like you do when New Years comes around. One of my resolutions was "Never be afraid of speaking English.", America is a very interesting country, like I said they love sharing ideas, in another word, they love talking. so use that as training your English speaking ability, having small talks is kinda part of their life, even strangers will talk to you, and of course, I know many of you probably think talking to strangers on the street? That ain't safe at all... Hey, but I think you clearly have a sense of judgment that who you should talk to by their behavior and words. You might be not used to speaking in your second language, but trust me southern Californians are extremely friendly, any problems you have they will try their best to help you. And one more thing, you know, when you are in a foreign country, keep yourself openminded, try to experience as much as you can, if you are that kind of person who stays in the house for like gaming all-day. I suggest you don't waste your parents' money, I'm not trying to be your mom nagging around, but since you have an opportunity to experience in another country for one year that long, think about how priceless the experience can be. Keep your eyes open and observe, your mind will explode, the chemistry of your perspectives will change your whole life in a good way. I don't wanna ruin the surprise that what you can be expecting in your time during study abroad, but I guarantee you, that it will be phenomenal. Anyway, Have fun and be careful, cause it's way much dangerous than in Taiwan, and the medical fee is extremely high. (303字)

(六)其他

Estimate the conditions of the apartment with the landlord, return the unit back without damage, and clean. If the landlord can't estimate with you before you leave, Take photos or videos of the unit even corners, cause you don't want the landlord to take the deposit away for unreasonableness. (49字)
