(一)基本資料

School: San Francisco State University City: San Francisco,CA Date: 08/14/2019-05/27/2020 Course: (First Semester) ALI-Level48 Reading and Writing: You will write a lot of assignments in this course. For example, journals, Summary, Response Essay and Research paper. Listening and Oral Communication: you will learn a lot of skills about how to make a good presentation also perform well to your audience. Pronunciation: In this course, you will learn how to pronoun the most difficult words and similar words.It will also help you to communicate clearly and easily. Business:This course will focus on Management, Marketing, Finance and Economics. And then, teacher will use very interesting ways to teach us. For example, games, video and so on. (Second Semester) First Semester Japanese:You can learn how to pronounce their words and how to write their words. Also, we can learn some greeting sentence. Advanced Grammar Writing Multiling: This course will teach us how to proofreading and help each other to revise our mistake. Asian Americans & Mass Media: In this course, we can learn the history about Asian American and see some interesting movies. Psychology Personal Development: In this course, we can get more know ourselves and the process about our human development.(202字)

One of my favorite lessons is Japanese. In this course, we had to learn many things. For example, Hiragana,Katakana,grammar and how to use those things to make a sentence then pronounce it. At the beginning, it was a big challenging to me to learn a new language also we had quiz every week so that I spent a lot of time practicing everything. Although many people tell me that Japanese was very similar with Chinese, it also had many things we had to learn. Honestly at the beginning I didn't like Japanese very much, but I thought it would be good to have one more language ability. However, it changes my mind now. I found that I gradually like Japan and think their language is very interesting also want to learn more. In this course, we had two different teachers to teach us Japanese. Their teaching methods are a little different but I like them very much. They are really nice teachers when I had any questions, they also willing to spent much time to teach me and let me understand all of things. I really happy that I can met those two teachers to start to learn a new language I didn't learn before. Originally, I was really afraid of learning a new language here because we had to use English to learn others language it not like in Taiwan, we can use Chinese to learn, but now I think it was a good experience to me to learn Japanese here. Language is an important part when we want to understand the culture of a country. When I was in high school, I went to Japanese high school for half a month but at that time I can't said Japanese just can use English to communicate with them. But now I learn some Japanese so next time when I go to Japan it must be a very good travel here. I really recommend this course for those who want to learn Japanese, and then you will love Japan as much as I do.(346字)

(三)生活環境

SF State has two campuses, one is where I am now and the other one is in downtown. This is a very big campus and also has very good transportation. When I go to school, I just have to take bus about ten minutes then I can get there. In this school, they have a lot of activities every week and have great resources for students to use. Also, you can see a lot of international students here so we can experience different kinds of culture and share with your friends. When I first arrived in San Francisco, I was most afraid of not being able to accept their food culture and sometimes I would miss my hometown food but I can say that you don't have to worry about that because it a really diverse city which is mean that you can find any culture food here. For example, Korean, Chinese, Mexican food and so on. It is really surprised me. But one thing I'm not used to is the weather in San Francisco. I am a person who is very afraid of cold. So, for me, I think San Francisco is really cold but sometimes it is comfortable and rarely rains. Maybe this is one of reasons why many people like to live here. Overall, I really like this city, it gives me a very nice and good experience here. Every morning you can hear someone say hello to you also if you need help, they are willing to help you. Thanks San Francisco where gives me a wonderful year here. In the future, if I have time I'll be back.(273字)

(四)自我成長

This is my first time to go study abroad and leaving my comfort zone. Honestly, it a very big challenging to me because I can't cook by myself and also take care of myself. So, my parents very worried about me if I really go to the United States will have some problems. But now I really grow up and can make decision by myself also know what I want to do in the future. When my mom see that she thinks I really grow up but not like a baby before. I also take my family to visit this beautiful city. I learn many things here and also become more optimism than before. The one of things shocked me a lot is about the crime in United States because it really happens in my life now but not like before just heard from the news. But now I know how to protect myself and able to adapt those of things. I'm very happy that I have this opportunity to go study abroad and broaden my horizons.Thanks, my school and family give me this chance to been here. Until now I still can't imagine that I really came to the United States to study. My parents always support me to do anything I want and encourage me a lot I really appreciate that I have a sweet family in my life. Thank for every lucky thing bring to me. I can't forget everything happened here. It is a very good experience to study abroad. (255字)

(五)大三出國建議

For someone who want to study in San Francisco, I would say you must to learn how to cook by yourself because the meal here is quite expensive. If you always eat outside it would be a very substantial expense to you. So, I recommend you must to learn some basic skills how to cook then you can save some money here. Also, if you go study abroad you have to be more brave than usual because the student here always like to share their comments and questions. If you are very shy it would be a terrible problem because the teacher's class speed is generally very fast. If you encounter problems that you do not understand, you must ask them immediately, otherwise you may be more incomprehensible. I think study abroad is really good opportunity to learn some skills and let you become stronger than before. Trust me this year would be your one of very important parts in your life. Don't be afraid to go outside and leaving your comfort zone. When you go outside you would see more beautiful and bigger world in your eyes. Also, this experience would not only increase your English ability but also be more independence and make more friends from different countries. In this year, you also can compare about the different culture and different ways to learning. I believe that you would get more information about it. Try your best to study here. "learn hard, play hard." Everyone also can do it.(251字)
