My favorite class in CSULB is Fundamentals of Korean. I have to say. It is difficult for me to choose this course at first because It is popular. I was remember I wait for four weeks to select this course successfully. And I learned that I have to send an email to my professor at time because my friend send the email for the professor and she got the chance more quickly. By the way, I’m so glad I’m in this class finally. This course is Fundamentals of Korean. At the beginning, professor taught us all the Korean alphabets. After that, she taught us some common sentence in korean. Because I like Kpop, Kdrama even korean food. So I am very passionate about learning korean. Sometimes, we will play some little games to practice more. And I think the most interesting part is you will be paired with different people in each class. Those people came from different countries. And we can practice different kinds of Korean conversations with each other. Another part I have interest is a presentation about different Korean culture. You can learn and receive many informations about Korean culture. After the midterm, the professor bought some Korean snacks for us. I really like all of this class. I sincerely recommend that students who are interested in Korean but have no basic can take this course. You will learn more. Remember, you must send an email to the teacher on the first week, so you don’t have to wait that long.(257字)

(三)生活環境

Many students will choose CSULB for the weather. That’s right. The weather in California is nice. And I like the sunshine there. I lived in an apartment with my classmates. I think this location is good cuz banks, internet shops, supermarket are nearby. Also, there are some restaurants. The famous in n out burger is only ten minutes walk away. And the bus stop just in front of the apartment. The bus just take fifteen minutes to arrive school. For people who arrived here at firsts time, you have to open an account and set up a new network and new telephone number. It is convenient for you if you live here. And about the apartment we live, my favorite Is this apartment offer swimming pool and hot pool. It is very useful for us to relax and even our body feel cold or hot. About the campus, also have swimming pool. The most special for me is there is a small movie theater in our campus. Every month there will be regular free movies to watch. The point is that most of them are new movies. There also bowling and pool areas in campus. I also like the gum in campus. It is very big and ther many facilities in there like, gym, swimming pool , basketball court, tennis court, badminton court and rock climbing. Especially for the rock climbing, it is very special to me to try the rock climbing. And I remember if you climb to top successfully you will get a lift from gym.(258字)

(四)自我成長

To be honest, i don’t like hamburger, French fries and pizza. But there are many fast food restaurants in Long Beach. So the first problem for me is to learn how to cook by myself. I will search for YouTube video to learn different kinds of meal. And the price in Long Beach is not low so I decided to make my own meals everyday. The reason make me sure I have to learn how to cook. There are many microwaves in the corner of campus so I don’t have to worried about. And the second problem is to make friends with foreigner. Because I’m not a passionate and active person. And I learn that to be active and smile with everyone. It will make you more easier to make new friends. In ALI the language course, I make friends with many Japanese and Arabic. They are all kind and get along well. We will hang out and chat everyday. I also attend some house parties and met many Americans, Koreans, French and Mexican. We left each other in contact and we still keep in touch after we came back our hometown. I‘m so glad to meet many of them and I will cherish our friendship forever. For me, i think I was grow up though study abroad, i learn how to cook and how to make more friends. And my mom was ver surprise I have grown a lot. Especially for my cooking ability. Because in offsite, you have to be more independence. You have to do all the house works by yourself. So i think environment makes people grow is right .(277字)

(五)大三出國建議

The journey is definitely the most exciting part of your life. I think you don’t need to be afraid of your English speaking because they all understand what you want to express. You just have to say bravely and it will gradually better. There are a famous saying “ Practice makes perfect “ just like English. You practice more and you will progress and improve. And I think it is important to rent a car in California. Like me, my friends rent a car in Long Beach, and we can eat everything we want to eat and it is more easy to get if you have a car. The road in United States is bigger than Taiwan. You need your own car to go far away. There are many good places you can be fun like LA, Las Vegas, Santa Monica, Disneyland, San Diego. There is a long distance from the Long Beach. So it is more convenient for you to rent a car in California. In Irvine, there are some delicious restaurants, korean or Chinese cuisine even Taiwanese cuisine. Bur Irvine also have distance from Long Beach. And for people who want to control your costs, I will recommend you can learn how to cook and make your own meal by yourself, you don’t have to worried about the microwaves, there are many microwaves in campus. Part of in cafeteria and part of around th corner in campus. And don’t bring a lot of clothes to there cuz you will have problem when you prepare to leave. If you like us style clothes, you can buy in there because it is more cheaper. (275字)
