(一)基本資料

The school where I studied abroad was Indiana University of Pennsylvania. The state that the school located is Pennsylvania state. The closest city to the school was Pittsburgh. The date that I went to the United States was in mid-August, taking a junior year course, then we came back early because of the pemdamic, but I also took a lot of courses in US, like geosciences, geography, English conversation classes, and ethics topics in the last semester. I took economics, business, urban planning, and psychology in the next semester Courses in various fields have also allowed me to expand my university courses(102字)

I think the most interesting and most impressive course for me is definitely Macroeconomic, at first i thought the ECON would be very tedious and less interested but at the first of the ECON class the teacher give us a great confidence to tell us that the economic is not that boring as we think and tell us a lot of his story and apply them into the concept of economic, at that time I was very nervous and scared on account of I was a fresher for econ and i never get any exposure to it, it was a totally new beginning for me and also a great challenge, but on my first day of econ class i was less nervous that i expected, it's all thanks to ours professor who wisely use the analogy and his knowledge to teach everything that he want to tell us, and i also got a very high grade st this class cause the teaching style that our professor provide is a useful methods for me to learn with clearly, and i am deeply in love with econ right now, although after the pandemic corona virus break out we force to come back Taiwan to finish our degree with remote teaching, the experience of my econ class has changed no more for the teacher standing in front of us and tell the interesting stuff, so the performance of my learning was also declined with this epidemic i will miss the days that i still in IUP and the times that i took his econ class, cause that is really a big change for me while i was in US. And i wanna say thank you for my econ teacher, James Jozefowicz , thank you for giving me a great time in the econ class (300字)

(三)生活環境

SO! If you asked me the weather of the Indiana university of Pennsylvania, i will tell you that you better not look down the climate over there, cause when i first got there i thought, "well...it not too cold right??", and i wear the short sleeve for quite a while, but! it soon getting colder and colder like the temp would never went back to warn, but the the life in our school is very comfortable. The living space of the dormitory is very large, although it is for two people, but it has its own bathroom and we all can keep our own privacy. And it's not crowded for two of us, and for grocery shopping, everything that we need for living are all can be found in Walmart, walmart is a chain super market and everything is cheap and it is not far from our dorm, and iup has its bus stop that will drive us to the town including walmart. And for food, all students need to buy meal plan for eating in school dinning, we have a lot of meals that we can eat per week, but you must be tired of the dinning's food very soon. There is a street near the school called Philadelphia Street. There is a Chinese restaurant called King Moon on Philadelphia Street. I like to eat there when I miss the Asian food and wanna say no to dinning hall for a while . The food over there is just wonderful for exchange student. That restaurant is definitely a must-eat for Taiwan students. And except for food we usually find other entertainment for ourselves when we get off the class. For example, there are many kinds of clubs in the school we can participate, and I also participate in Japanese clubs, the people inside are very good, we Many events are often held, and we will also meet during the festival, which is one of the way I make my most Americans friemds in the United States. In addition to participating in clubs, our Taiwan students also run their own clubs, called the Taiwan Student association, all are control by Taiwan Student and teacher. We sometimes held barbecue activities during the Mid-Autumn Festival. Not only for the Taiwanese students remember the customs of their hometowns, but also invited local Americans to come and play with us. That time we did have a great time. Can let Americans know more about our culture and Taiwan's history, these event are all very meaningful as long as we actively participate in those activities. (430字)

(四)自我成長

Although life in the United States looks very bright and bright, outsiders think we are all living very dreamy, but in fact this is not entirely the case, many of us international students experience more, when I first arrived in the United States, although there are many people Help, but after all the first time so far away from home, I will miss my home, especially when I was studying, I was afraid that I would not be able to keep up with other local students. I need to be more independent and attentive in the classroom. I am afraid that I will miss the important information of the teacher if I accidentally, but I still have to rely on myself in learning problems, and I can gradually deal with it easily. But for me, the cultural shock is what surprised me the most. When I first made friends with Americans, I felt that they were too enthusiastic, which may be quite different from the implicit politeness of Asians. At first, a friend I just met often asked me to go out, and when I first met, he took my picture without permission and posted it on the Internet with some ambiguous words, I felt very uncomfortable at the time, although he later said that he was not intentional, but I think this is the difference in culture, Asians usually don’t treat friends like this who they just meet, and the problem of making friends A big challenge, Because of cultural differences and different national conditions, we need to spend a lot of effort to completely become friends with foreigners, even then I still highly recommend making friends with foreigners, because even if there is no way to become very good friends, but In this conversation, more or less, you can receive different new knowledge and cultural characteristics. (五)大三出國建議

The advice I will give to the sophomore who is about to go abroad is to enjoy it. You can do whatever you want. Anything you want to try, you can try it in many ways. Sometimes we may be afraid that we are not very good at it, But the people at iup are actually very friendly, someone must can help you solve the problem anyway, so Just do it if you want, whether it is , maybe you wanna join a club then go ahead, if you wanna go to goin the family relationship program to be friends with local families or you wanna party with foreigners and your friends, or travel to various places or to become a volunteer, all kind of event is a good choice and there's all have those kind of events in IUP, and trust me it's ganna worth it. Actually i do have some regrets in the United States this year, now that im already came back, sometimes I thought that if I did something at that time It ’s ganna be very cool, and I thought about how good it would be if there was no interference from the corona virus, and I wanted to stay in the United States to do a lot of things. Because that year will really be a watershed for your university to change your thinking. You'll have a quit different veiws on many things that you never think like this before. I think all you can do is to enjoy yourself and don’t let yourself regret it. Enjoy your precious time as an international student, and make it wonderful guys!! You will never forget the time that you spend in US and you will miss it after you come back. (295字)
