My favorite class is the beginning Japanese. My friends love Japan and often watch anime in the dormitory. Under long-term contact, I am also interested in Japan and want to learn simple Japanese conversation. Therefore, I choose the beginning Japanese every semester. During this learning process, I have learned a lot of Japanese knowledge. The professor teaches very seriously, but it will not make people feel bored. The body movements, sounds, intonation, and even blackboard writing are very lively. I really admire the professor ’s teaching method, which is not only full of energy, but also full of motivation to inspire students to answer. For students who are not easy to understand in learning, she will point out in class, and explain it very clearly in a simple way, which helps me lay a solid foundation. For the speaking aspect, the professor will randomly choose student to read the content or vocabularies in that chapter. In particular, the professor will pay lots of attention to and correct everyone's pronunciation and tone, and strengthen speaking and listening training. Sometimes, in the half of the course, we are grouped together to discuss cooperation and stimulate different ideas with the use of audiovisual images and descriptive exercises. On the homework, we are working according to the progress of the class, so that our Japanese is accumulating little by little. In addition, the classroom layout is good, no matter what angle, I can see the central whiteboard without obstruction, so the professor’s movements can also be clearly seen by students, and clearly face to face with each classmate, which will not only make everyone feel like chatting during the class, but also will not have the serious feeling between the classes. This feeling will be very intimate, there will be no feeling of isolation of students.(303字)

Winona has a very diverse climate. Compared with Taiwan, it has a more "seasonal" feel. In summer, it is often cloudless and sunny, and it is quite hot; in spring and autumn, it is quite dry and cool, which is very comfortable. The weather is very cold in winter. The minimum temperature this winter reaches minus nineteen degrees. It often snows, and snow in the plains is a phenomenon hardly seen in Taiwan.The place where I live is about 1 minute away from the school parking lot, and it takes only 3 minutes to walk to the school, so it is very convenient to go to school. However,next to the dormitory is the train track and the walls of the room are very thin, so at night you will hear the sound of the train passing by, roommates speaking, or music.So at first,I could hardly sleep at night. I also met a lot of friends in the dormitory. They helped me with a lot of things. They helped me buy some daily necessities and decorate the room. At the beginning, I was not very good at cooking, so they cooked some dishes or made cookies for me. They cared about my life, and I am really touched and thank them. When it comes to convenience around Winona, Walmart is about 15 minutes away from the school. You can call the Uber with your classmates or friends, so daily necessities and food are still easy to obtain. In addition, the school can rent bicycles, every day I ride bicycles to various places.(262字)

(四)自我成長

The most I learned during this time in the United States is how to deal with all kinds of things by myself. When I met roommates on the first day, they were all very friendly, but gradually I discovered that there were a lot of differences in habits and thoughts, which caused subsequent misunderstandings and disputes in the future. For example, dormitories in Taiwan are used to closing the door, but here they will open the door to facilitate communication. At first I didn't know that, so I closed the door most of the time , my roommate therefore thought I didn't want to talk to them. There are other similar things that happened between me and my roommates because of different habits and thoughts. Although I later solved the misunderstanding, I still decided to move to another suite. But I have to run the process to move out and change the suite. Although I luckily lived with Taiwanese who have similar habits to me at the end, I was still impressed by the feeling that nobody around me could help. I can only find a solution by myself. In addition to this, it may be that the pace of life here is very slow, many things take place slowly, and the processing is very inefficient. There are many changes in the course due to the impact of coronavirus. At the beginning, the school asked us to choose to stay or leave, but the school here only gives a general direction. I can only ask the details one by one.(259字)

(五)大三出國建議

When it comes to eating and drinking here, the cost of eating three meals out will be more expensive, and the food in the United States generally has a heavier taste, so I think I go to the hypermarket to buy ingredients and cook it back, which is not only more cost-effective but also more expensive. The only disadvantage of health is that it takes more time, but sometimes when the exam is busy, you can only buy food. From time to time, the International Office will take students to Asian shops where they can buy food and snacks familiar in Taiwan, as well as some Japanese-style Korean ingredients. Everyone will invent some very interesting recipes here, which is one of the fun of studying abroad. In addition, it is very cold here in winter. Although you can buy coats, snow boots and gloves here, I think it is more cost-effective to buy in Taiwan. Regarding the suggestion of going out on holidays, if you have a driver's license, you can rent a car and share the price equally with others.(181字)
