2019大三出國輔導通報系統 - 留學心得報告[編輯]

(一)基本資料

For my junior exchange i went to Temple university which is in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, exchange for almost 9 month(18字)

(二)課程學習

My favorite course was the art of acting which is a very interesting class to participate in a boring college life. i like this class not only its easy to pass but also i love to act since i was a little kid, acting is so fun for me while growing up watching a lot of movie stars acting, playing as spy or as a superhero makes me want to act as well. The first day of the class teacher would let everyone know each other and we played some games and learn the basic acting skill which is to be yourself in that character. than the following class teacher will give us some situational method to let us act for ourselves, me and the native students there really have a great time acting together. in each lesson, we practiced a lot of different lines and stories, when its almost the end of the semester the teacher gives us a book and makes several groups than told us to pick a monologue to perform , i was scared at the first time cause i never done such a thing before, but it turns out our team nail it properly.This class let me learns a lot of thing its not all about playing it actually teach you a lot of acting skills and i enjoy it very much. My second favorite class was spanish class, i picked this class is because i really like the culture and i really like to listen to spanish songs, so before this class i already known a little spanish words, the first class the teacher were very nice, she teach us in a very chilling way, and she tought us a lot of interesting culture background, after some lesson i really cant get on the step of the course so i asks the teacher after class, she teaches me everything from the beginning and teaches me for 3 hour straight, thats one of the reason that i liked about her too, the teacher there were super nice. i really like this part about my exchange student experence(351字)

(三)生活環境

Temple is a really big school, sometime i got lost, we have a new library that just opened and it has automatic borrow machine so if you want to borrow books , you can just type the name and the machine will take that directly to you. we also have a student center Sometimes they held events together. Such as, movie night, gamble night, art gallery, relax event for the student having mid term and final too. and the other building that i went often is the stadium, cause i went to the fencing club there so i always go practice there by the way theres a swimming pool there and its open to all temple students. i live near temple a place called diamond green but i really dont suggest to live there. Its too far away for school and the security there was not very good due to the neighborhood. Some of my friends live in a department called vintage, the place is really great and much more safer. Theres also a convenience store on the first floor which is very awesome and its closer to the campus too. i really like that place. the weather there during summer was hot just like the weather in september at taiwan but winter gets legit cold, so you better bring lots of jackets. About the food, the restaurants near temple are all really good you should try them all, from fried rice to burger, pizza, noodles, burrito, tai pho, everything is so worth trying. And if you wants to cook for yourself there is a supermarket called FreshGrocer, you can buy almost what you need for your daily meal but the favorite market would definitely be TraderJoes it located in city hall, you can get there by metro approximately 15 minute to get there. TraderJoes is a organic market, their fruits and veggie are all pretty fresh, if you go their you must go there for shopping.(325字)

(四)自我成長

The first day i got there its already late night, i calleed uber back to my place. When i finally got to philly i was so exciting, all the new thing, the streets, the vibe, its so pretty and all my cells were trembling for a years live in here. And the schools started in mid september, i met a lot of foreigner, i dont have the problem that when i talk to people i will be embarrassed so i meet a lot of new friends there, the student there were very nice, if you want to talk to them just go they will always talk to you. the problem that i got was on the first week i dont know that their homework have to watch it online and i missed every homework but on the second week the professor asks about it, and i asked the student next to me, than she told me that the homework was online. the second issue was although i got new friends there i still missed everything back home, not only missed my family but also the way Taiwanese people lives there life. ITs awesome to be there but you have to adjust the style they got there. it took me some time to finally settle down.(215字)

(五)大三出國建議

For the advice of studying aboard I will definitely recommend you guys to study at Temple University if the money isn't a big factor to you guys because compare to other school Temple is not actually that cheap. No matter it's on tuition or on the leasing part most of the parts are more expensive.The teacher there was really great and the sources there were very diversified that if you are a temple student you can used it for free. The school got a lot of activities too. we have different kind of activities each week, the school will even have out door activities such as going to six flag amusement park, going to lancaster to see the farms there or the way how amish people lived, or going to ski trips . theres a lot of thing that school holds , and if you want to go to New York , its really close and its closed to washington dc too. it only spents you less than 15 usd for one round to new york city, and during winter vacation you can travel to orlando to have fun in the disney world or to the universal both are very interesting, after that you can go south to miami or even go to the south side to visit the cities .
