2019大三出國輔導通報系統 - 留學心得報告[編輯]

(一)基本資料

I went to Indiana University of Pennsylvania.From the nearby largest country Pittsburgh to Indiana country is about 1 and half hours if no traffic jam.It is a tranquil and a safe place for student to live here.There are plenty of classes that can be chosen.The Uber in IUP is not quite convenient for students to travel to other place.Student can rent the car to anywhere. (二)課程學習

The most class that I am enjoy and satisfy with is the General Psychology.Teacher try to express the idea by using funny way and try to make student more understand about the content.Beside,when learning new language ,it make me feel sense of accomplishment.Because it is not only can communicate with the friend and be familiar with them,but also make more friends.School have a lot of club that student can join in.However I join in Association of Korean-cultural Interest.And the student will speak some Korean.When I was in Taiwan,I want to make friends with some American that who an also speak a little Korean.Due to the Aki group,I have made a lot of friends that have the same hobby and interest. In the second semester,I have chosen Geography of National Park in America.In my opinion,the class is much harder than I think.However,the teacher,s teaching way made me understand the national park more easier and funny.It is not only studying in the location of each national parks,but also the foundation and the climate of national park.For example,the most thing impress me is the introduction of Grand Canyon National Park.Because I have been to Grand Canyon before,I can totally relate with the teacher.By the way,I have learned the Physical Geography of America.Due to the correct information from teacher,I got loads out of it. Most of the classes in IUP are three degree.However,the class which is related to language is four degree.There are Spanish,French,Germany,Japanese,Korean especially.In the first semester,I choose Japanese because I want to learn when I am in Taiwan,nevertheless I have no time and chance to take the course.In the Japaneses course,most of the students are from Asian study department and they have some knowledge of Asian.Sometimes,they will ask us something about Asia.And it is a chance to introduce Taiwan to the foreigner.(343字)

(三)生活環境

International student must live in on campus.And all of Taiwanese student will live in Wallwalk. We got the email from the school when we have already applied.There are a few type of option that can be chosen.Most of the us are in 4 people room with shared living room.But if it is not fit to you,however the second semester have the chance to change the room. The weather in fall is cool.In winter,the highest degree will be 2 degree.Sometimes,it will snowy at midnight.It is a bit crisp though and freezing.The suggestion of the clothes is do not bring too much light clothes,most of the day will be cool and cold. School has the many kinds of meal plan for student and international student must have to follow the meal plan.I choose the 10 meal plan plus 300 flex.The flex can be use in Starbucks,the burger,sandwiches shop in school,and some snacks from the Pod,where is close to the dorm.There is a dining hall in school,which name is North Dining Hall.The food in the dining have different kind of chosen.For instant,the American style,India style,Italy style,Chinese style and so on.There are always different food and themes for different festival or holiday. Besides,the school dining hall is open from Monday to Sunday.And if student want to change the different flavor of food.There are some shops nearby.The closest to school are McDonald,KFC,sheetz. And there is a Thai restaurant only 5 minutes walk far to school.The food is much expensive than other restaurant.The main street has the Chinese restaurants.One is the fried rice and some Chinese style dishes.The other is hotpot.(297字)

(四)自我成長

Most of the difficulties are from the academic courses.So I think the way to overcome is to preview the syllabus and try to look for the textbook.Before the class,professor is willing to help student deal with the problem.However,discuss to classmate is also a way to find the answer and communicate with other people. IUP is a tranquil country,the study and travel plan of international student is quite significant.Living in the dorm is safety.One day,I have receive the alter from my phone.The content is mentioned that there is a gunshot nearby the school.There are three males dressed in black clothing and wearing ski masks were involved in the events.At that moment,the school will give student some information and alter student to stay in the dorm. Some of the course in IUP has the restriction.However,student has to visit the professor and ask for the permission. The western and eastern country has different culture.There are multiple culture shocks.For example,when taking the bus, people do not have to wave the hands.The bus in America will stop each stops no matter people getting on or off the bus. In rainy day ,student will not take on the umbrella no matter how heavy the rain .It is pretty different between Taiwan and USA. America is a dry climate country,so the skin is obviously feel dry.Sometimes,it will be wounded and feel hurt.The care of the skin is quite important. (255字)

(五)大三出國建議

First,I think the most important is to have some knowledge or information of the university you have chosen.Besides,first of all,overview the course and check if the credit is available or not. Second,in November,there is a holiday called Thanksgiving day.There will be an one week break,so student can make plan first.And after the final exam,it is winter break ,which has almost one month break.Some tickets can be booked early and it might be cheap. When go to America,do no bring too much clothes in the suitcase because you will buy more things back to Taiwan.By the way,if you used to some products which brand that America does not have.The best suggestion is to bring As much as possible. Third,there are many of clubs for student.The physical,sport,Music,dance,fishing,boarding,arts, Language and culture experience and so on.Due to join the club,I have meet a lot of friends. Besides,the club will cooperate to hold on an event.For instance,Taiwanese Student Association,Association of Korean interest,Japanese,China clubs have hold an Asia night event.And welcome to the foreigner students to join and learn more about Asia. School also has the program of home family and study buddies.And school has sell the tickets about travel to somewhere in USA for international student.I have joined the trip to Niagara Falls,New York,Kenny-wood.School only offer the transportation for student,however,student has to plan the trip by themselves.(261字)
