The courses at the University of Sunderland are not all available for international students. You may have to change your classes before the term beginnings. In my final decision, I will recommend one of the modules I have chosen, essential study and employment skills, from the faculty of business, law and tourism. This module aims to establish a grounding for your undergraduate studies in business and provide you with key study skills that are critical to your development and success in other modules at this academic level and in subsequent levels. The most important determinant of your success and enjoyment of the module is the extent to which you engage with the lectures and workshops. We have one hour lecture with all the students who choose this module and two hours of workshop with a small group of students every week. The module leader is Mr Joel Arnott. Joel is a friendly professor, especially he concerned of international students even remember my name. In this module, we have a group activity, Take 25, which is the key learning opportunity for our assignment. The aim is to raise as much money as possible from a budget of 25 pounds over four weeks. During this group activity, I have three team members they are all British, I have learned a lot from my team members, including teamwork, critical thinking and time management. We work together to plan and put on events, buy doughnuts to sell and run fundraising activities to develop team-work and business skills while raising money for The Children's Foundation. After this activity, we need to prepare a presentation in the workshop. Moreover, there was a celebration party. All the teachers and students went to a bar near the University of Sunderland, celebrating and announced the results. It was a special experience. At the end of the semester, the summative assessment requires us to reflect upon our own experiences and examine individual skills development from the formative classwork and team task.(329字)

(三)生活環境

If you choose to live in student accommodation, I will recommend The Forge U-student Village. It is the most modern student accommodation at the University of Sunderland. You can take the minibus ran by the student union to arrive two campuses. It takes about five minutes to the city campus and twenty minutes to Sir Tom Cowie Campus. The nearest metro station, Millfield, is a ten-minute walk away. It is convenient to take the metro to Sunderland or Newcastle station to transfer to train for travelling in other cities. Otherwise, if you want to take by bus, you can go to Park Lane station. Near the Millfield, metro station has a bus stop, you can take 700 and 701 to campuses. To compare with the accommodation in Tamkang University Lanyang campus, The Forge U-student Village do not have male or female accommodation. If you live in a flat, everyone has a room. I choose to live in a flat with three flatmates. We share the kitchen, toilet and shower. They are from Ireland, Spain and Jordan. Living in accommodation is a good way to make new friends from all around the world. You can have more chance to speak in English and learn about other cultures. Not only their lifestyle but also various cuisine. The average weather in the city of Sunderland is quite cold. (223字)

(四)自我成長

The first thing to learn is trying to understand the accent in Sunderland and the words of British English. It will be easier to fix any problem if there are no language problems. If you don't want to eat pizza, bugger or Italian food every day, it is better to cook for yourself, also can safe money. When I was in Taiwan, I rarely cook by myself, but I did in the UK. Fortunately, there are two Chinese supermarkets in Sunderland. Thus, it is easy to make some hometown cuisine when missing home. During the winter vacation, I visited some European countries for one month. The experiences I got were over my expectation. If you are interested in travel to different countries. I suggest making a plan for your trip. The culture shock that impressed me the most was a week before I leave the UK. The University of Sunderland announced to suspend face-to-face teaching and assessment from Tuesday 17 March. My friends from Asia countries were all talking about going back to their home county. Buying flight tickets and afraid of the lockdown in the UK. However, my flatmates from European countries invited me to join their party to celebrate no classes. They knew the coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic. When I asked them, "Don't you all afraid about it?" They said, "You will never know what will happen in the future. Why not just enjoy the moment?" (五)大三出國建議

I would say study abroad for one year in United Kindom is absolute a great choice. In the University of Sunderland, you can learn how to write an essay or a report in a more academic way. The professors at the University of Sunderland are all kind to students. They are willing to help if you have any questions. I will recommend students who have time and want to earn more credits to sign up for English for Academic Purposes classes. I made a lot of international friends through the courses. It was also a good environment to enhance your English ability. During the semester, students will be expected to attend lecture and workshop each week. In addition, students will be expected to undertake further study and preparation on their own or within groups. For example, one of my modules is the equivalent of two hundred learning hours, so be prepared to put in the time. In fact, you will find you have time to plan to do other things not only study. I started to go to the gym, the culture of fitness is quite popular, there are three gyms around the University of Sunderland. In your free time, hang out with friends to the cinema or bowling alley in the city of Sunderland, close to Newcastle which is a bigger city, you can go shopping and eat Chinese food.(231字)
