(一)基本資料

The University of Queensland in Australia is located in Queensland, where the city is Brisbane. When I was abroad, I studied a language course. The teachers were very friendly and active. Teaching in a way that does not make people feel stressed.(42字)

(二)課程學習

During the time I took a language course at the University of Queensland, I have two favorite teachers which are Paul and Simon. They were the teachers I met in the first semester. They taught us very hard and prepared many group activities to practice English skills during class for us to communicate with the people around me, I still remember that some teachers asked us to write a few questions, and went to the campus to find Australians to answer the questions. This is a good way for us to practice English. After all, most of the students are from Japan, although I can practice English as well with them, but the speed and accent cannot make me learn further but they are still the happiest memories of my life in Australia. We didn’t just have classes in the classroom, the teacher will also take us to many different places, such as visiting art galleries or going to the cafe to discuss homework or playing the guitar and take place the barbecue at the end of the semester. And also you can join some extra activities and workshop such as chorus, writing class. Those can correct your accent and teach more writing skills, and also they will teach you some Australian slang because Australians create some words for them, for example, sunglasses calls sunnies, afternoon calls arvo, swimsuit calls bathers and so on. I extremely recommend the University of Queensland ’s language learning centre because it has perfect equipment and is also an IELTS test center. The teachers are IELTS examiners who can make you more advanced and specific teaching ways on test, and students from all over the world, they can help you to expand your international horizon and learn different culture and you can hang out together or visit another cities with them.(307字)

The campus of the University of Queensland is very large and has many departments. There are many students from different countries on the campus, especially Chinese. Queensland is one of Australia's most relaxed and leisurely states, and life there is slow. It is one of the most pleasant climates in the world, with an average of 300 days a year, including clear blue skies and warm temperatures, not too humid or hot in summer, and very cool here in winter, and there are also many beaches nearby, gold The coast is one of them, and because the train can get there in an hour, it is a good place to relax on a holiday. And many people immigrated to Australia, so there are a variety of food choices like Thai, Korean, Chinese and so on. But the price here is very high, whether it is food or daily necessities, so I always cook by myself instead of eating out. There are many large local supermarkets where you can buy daily necessities and food ingredients, such as COLES, ALDI, WOOLWORTH. If you miss Chinese cuisine, you can also go to the Chinese supermarket. The pace of life in Brisbane is not as fast as Sydney or Melbourne. In this city, there is a different way of life. The activities are usually concentrated in or around the river or bay area, and the city often hosts a market or a small concert. After school, I often go to the city with foreign friends to have a drink.(254字)

(四)自我成長

First of all, when I first arrived in Australia, I didn't get used to the fact that Australia is a right-hand driver, so pedestrians should stand on the right side when walking. This is the opposite of Taiwan, so it's difficult to change in a short time. Whenever I want to get on the escalator, I have to consider which side I want to stand on first. The time is also two hours away from Taiwan, so it's not necessary We need to adjust the time difference. The buses in Australia don't give names one by one, so when I first arrive in Australia, I have to look at Google maps to avoid not taking the wrong station or getting off the wrong station. Thirdly, the lifestyle in Taiwan and Australia is quite different. In Taiwan, restaurants or department stores are open at least until nine o'clock or later, and even want to eat in the middle of the night. There are night markets and convenience supermarkets On the contrary, department stores in Australia close at 5 o'clock on time on holidays and weekdays. Some stores even close early, so there are few restaurants to eat after dinner. Fourthly, due to the large area and small population of Australia, there are not as many pedestrians and monitors on the road at night as in Taiwan. So try not to go out at night, so as to avoid my safety being threatened . in terms of class work, because I am a language student, I will not have too much pressure on class work, and I can make many friends from different countries, which is a great experience.(275字)

(五)大三出國建議

I highly recommend the language course of Queensland University, not only because it is a very famous school, but also because the teachers there are very good and enthusiastic, and you can express your ideas bravely. The university of Queensland is a really good uni that students there are competitive. Australia is a melting pot of culture, without much racial discrimination, and compared with the United States, Australia is also a very safe country. Before studying abroad, we should first find the accommodation place, try to find the place where the elder sister has lived or find the accommodation suitable for ourselves. Try to go out together, do not go home too late at night, and do not go in and out of the acoustical and pornographic places, so as to avoid meeting stranger. Studying abroad is a great opportunity to stay away from your comfort zone. You need to be brave and active, otherwise no one will not just come by and help you. When we get there, we should not limit ourselves and challenge ourselves to things we have never experienced and know more foreign friends. This year's meeting is the most unforgettable year in your university. Going abroad to learn how to express yourself bravely, and let that year become the driving force of your life. Don't over expect the life there, maybe you will be disappointed, but it's really a great experience. This is a tough test, but you have to experience and overcome it by yourself. Come on, you will get unexpected results.(258字)
