2019大三出國輔導通報系統 - 留學心得報告[編輯]

(一)基本資料

The University of Queensland is located in Brisbane, Australia. During my stay in Australia, I took 15 weeks of Bridging English and three weeks of formal courses.Because of COVID-19, I didn't complete my course. (34字)

(二)課程學習

One of my favorite lessons is English reading and writing. The main reason is because of the teacher's teaching style and enthusiasm. My writing has improved a lot under the guidance of the teacher. Before writing, the teacher will always take us to understand the topics related to the topic, and then step by step from writing concepts and writing outline to logic. Instead of writing the title of the composition, we need to write it directly. After writing, the teacher will help us correct word by word, and personally guide, and finally rewrite to complete a complete essay. Even though it was considered unnecessary and wasted time at first, but after several weeks of practice, with Learn more and more about English writing and find that you have really improved your writing. It made me afraid of writing from the beginning, and became more familiar and more confident. Teachers not only care about everyone's learning status, but also form a study group, so that students can supervise each other's work outside the classroom. More importantly, this makes the relationship between classmates getting better and better. As a result, I realized that one of my best friends at the University of Queensland has a gentle but strong personality. My favorite class in my study is English reading and writing. The main reason is because of the teacher's teaching style and enthusiasm. My writing has improved a lot under the guidance of the teacher. And my most recommended formal course is "Global Culture and Tourism". In this course, students are all from different countries; for example, Russia, Canada, Myanmar, Taiwan ... Learn more about the characteristics of different cultures and use open mind to look at different cultures and respect and tolerance. Its tutorial class uses group discussions to allow me to quickly get closer to my classmates from different countries and discuss the cultural differences between the East and the West. The teacher told interesting stories about his trip to different countries in the classroom, making the course more interesting. (339字)

Brisbane, where the University of Queensland is located, is known as "the most livable city in Australia", providing a safe, multicultural and friendly living environment for residents and students. Although the temperature is often close to 40 degrees in summer, even if the temperature is high, it will not be as uncomfortable as the summer in Taiwan because of the dry climate. The bus in Brisbane is the main means of transportation for people. There is a special bus lane on the road, so it is very punctual. Traveling to explore Brisbane during school and holidays in Australia is a bus ride. Australians are very polite to bus drivers. They say hello to the drivers when they get on the bus and say thank you before they get off. Some even talk to the driver as if they are friends and very close. The hinterland of the campus is vast and the environment is beautiful. In the name of friendly environment, there are lots of turf and many birds only in Australia flying in the campus. And there are ecological pools and a lot of solar energy. There are also many activities, such as the campus market on Wednesdays, the irregular food truck providing good and cheap food, and many school activities. Queensland University is full of energy. There are a large number of communities active in the campus, and often hold music related activities on the grass to make the whole campus full of pleasant atmosphere. In addition, the reason why I like University of Queensland very much is that there are many students from different countries in the campus, so there is a great respect for multiculturalism and there is not much discrimination. First, the first thing I feel unaccustomed to when I just arrived in Australia is that Australia is a right-hand driver, so pedestrians should stay on the right when they walk. It's the opposite of Taiwan, so it's really hard to change in a short time. Whenever I want to get to the escalator, I have to think about which side I want to stand first. But after a while, I will get used to second. Australian buses will not report names one by one, so when I first get to Australia, I have to watch Google map to avoid standing. Third, Taiwan and Australia have very different lifestyles. In Taiwan, restaurants or department stores are open until at least eight o'clock, and there are even night markets and supper. On the contrary, Australian Department stores close at five o'clock on time on holidays and weekdays. Some stores even pull down the iron door at 4:30. After the meal time, there are few restaurants to eat. Fourth, because Australia has a large area and a small population, there will not be as many cars and pedestrians and many monitors on the road at night as in Taiwan. I try not to go out at night in Australia to avoid my safety being threatened. The most unsuitable thing I met in my study is the pressure of study. The pressure of formal courses is very heavy. Lots of homework and fast class schedule. (五)大三出國建議

Studying abroad is a rare opportunity. Living abroad will encounter different difficulties and challenges; there will be pressure on schoolwork, maladjustment in life, and unexpected difficulties. In my opinion, going abroad is not only to increase the language ability, but also the attitude and solutions in the face of problems as well as the anti-pressure in the face of challenges. In a new environment, to keep open mind, people with different cultural backgrounds or views should be able to treat it as a new experience and respect, rather than just sticking to your own position and not willing to accept it. Because there are no parents abroad, it's important to learn to be responsible for yourself. For example, even in foreign countries, you should be responsible for your health and life to eat well and maintain good work and rest, because seeing a doctor in foreign countries it is not as convenient as in Taiwan. To be a good student in charge of one's own study. Then be responsible for all your actions. Finally, after class, you should use our spare time to experience local life, feel the pace of life different from Taiwan, and leave a good memory abroad. (200字)
