During my junior study abroad year , In my fist semester I took Introduction to Computer Programming , Introduction to Microeconomics Analysis , Oral Communication and Math. In my second semester I took Data Structures , Elementary Statistic, English Writing and Introduction to Macroeconomic Analysis . All the courses are useful for me. I experienced that the style of class abroad is different from Taiwan. Classes abroad more focus on group discussions and critical thinking. There is no wrong or correct answers when you express your opinions.For example , my English Writing class . Every class before we start today's lecture , we will make a circle and talk about one issue and share about our opinion. Every week we have to write one essay. After we finished , we have to give our classmates some suggestion. After looking from those suggestions, we have to revise our essay. Sometimes we will have group assignment. Learning how to work with teammates is important.There are some courses I would like to recommend: Introduction to Computer Programming, Data Structures, Introduction to Microeconomics and Introduction to Macroeconomic. My Introduction to Computer Programming and Data Structures's professor are passionate about teaching , they provide lots of help and materials for students. There were lots of coding in two of these classes. Although the learning process was really stressful , once you finished and looked back those process , you will feel worthy. And your coding skills will improve.For those who are interested in economic do not hesitate to take this two courses. In Microeconomics class , professor focuses on individual’s choices to consume and produce the goods. In Macroeconomic class, professor focuses more on how the economy works at the national and international level rather than how economy works for individual buyers and sellers. Maybe some students might want to know what is different between studying in Taiwan and studying abroad. There are some suggestion that I will provide : 1. Courses abroad are progress quickly and require time to review. 2. The number of exams in a semester is also determined by the professor. 3. If you have questions do not be afraid of asking your professor or your classmates. 4. Study hard (355字)

(三)生活環境

San Francisco is an excellent place to explore. The weather in San Francisco is pleasant. But I suggest people bring a jacket with you when you go out because the temperature can drop dramatically at night. San Francisco has convenient transport. For example: Muni , Bart, Uber/Lyft and cable car . If you do not have car , it will not be a big problem. San Francisco State University is a great place to study. University provides lots of information. Students who needs help can benefit from those information. San Francisco State University has a beautiful and comfortable library. It is a great place to study. During exams , library will provides caring services to encourage students. It is really warm. Wellness Center is a gym . Inside has professional fitness equipment and everyday there are many students exercising. It also has group courses. For example : aerobic course, tabata , High Intensity Interval Training and so on. It is a place to vent your negative emotion. San Francisco State University has lots of activities. If you have time , I encourage you join in . Participate in small activities after busy classes , you will feel relax. There is a shopping mall next to San Francisco State University. Its name is Stonestown Galleria. It is a good place to get some food . Food in Stonestown Galleria is not really expensive (compare to restaurant). If you choose to study in San Francisco State University, explore yourself bravely and follow your heart and enjoy your life. (246字)

Before going to San Francisco , I was nervous. Because I do not know what challenges I will face this year. If I face difficulties , I have to deal all the difficulties by myself. I remember the day my parents drive me to airport When it is the time for boarding , I carry my carry bag and say goodbye to my parents. My parents encourage me and give me courage. Time flies. The year of studying abroad has ended successfully. Looking back on the difficulties I encountered, I feel I learn a lot. There are some suggestion I would like to provide. First, when signing contract with the landlord , you must read the contract clearly. Pay attention to the text. If you have any doubt about the contract, ask the landlord. Do not fall into the trap !. Second , culture in United States and Taiwan are different. When you have problem , people generally use the mailbox to contact. You need to wait patiently for the reply. Thirdly, San Francisco is a diverse country. It has multiple races. People from different country has different culture. We have to open our mind to accept different cultures. Also, people of different races speak English with different accents. English is not my first language , so I spend time getting familiar with different accents. Before studying abroad, I suggest practice English listening , so you can get familiar with different accents when you arrive San Francisco . Fourth, I also learned how to arrange my time. Review what you had learned after class is very important. This will help you reduce time to prepare exam , midterm and final . Finally, accept all the challenge, don't be afraid to encounter difficulties, these challenges will make you more independent. (287字)

(五)大三出國建議

Studying abroad is a challenge. You have to take care of yourself and learn how to solve problems. San Francisco is a great place to explore. Open your mind to accept different cultures. Things in San Francisco is expensive , I would suggest cook by yourself. If your luggage space is large enough , you can bring a rice cooker with you. Transportation in San Francisco is very convenient , during weekend I suggest go outside and see the world. During holidays, make full of the time, you can arrange some vacation. Remember arrange first! Join some local activities, experience local cultures. You will have different gains. Do not be discouraged when you encounter difficulties in schoolwork , trust yourself. Be brave and do not hesitate to ask your professor for help. Make full use of school resources. When you go back to your country and look back those difficulties , you will find yourself growing a lot.(153字)
