2019大三出國輔導通報系統 - 留學心得報告[編輯]

(一)基本資料

I went to UNSW which is in Sydney for studying. I chose two classes in these term. The first one is Software Engineering Fundamentals and the other is System Modeling and Design. Both of these two courses are all have the relationship to my major, that is Innovative Information and Technology.(51字)

(二)課程學習

One of my favorite lessons is Software Engineering Fundamentals. Because there are physical operations, it can make students more impressed with the programs written. Although there are individual basic tasks each week, there are also small groups of people who need to do it. Results, it allows students to arrange and allocate their own time to enrich their classroom knowledge in their spare time. For the lecture, there are about four hundred of people all setting together to take these class. Because of that it is sometimes difficult to catch every important information or focal points. In addition to a four-hour lecture in this course, there is also one hour tutorial, which allows students to ask what they do not understand in the lecture, and the other use of programming that has been taught by professor. In the two-hour laboratory, students can do the group project or homework at these class because all of the works will take some times to finish them. Also, students can immediately ask questions and solve problems in the process of operation, which can improve learning efficiency. If students have any question while doing their project, they can ask tutor while taking lab class. Schools in western countries attach great importance to teamwork, and often need to be grouped to complete the exercises specified by the professor. They need to communicate with their group members in the spare time to coordinate the allocation of program writing, and always pay attention to the progress of the program writing by the group members. And our ultimate goal for this semester is to submit a complete online chat program before the end of the semester and show it to all professors in class. Tutors will check our group project every three week to make sure that we all have done our own work. In addition to this, we will need to explain the reason why our code would like to tutors to ensure we did not misunderstand what we should do to our group project.(337字)

(三)生活環境

I think the area of our school is quite large. Due to the terrain, many sections of the school have quite steep stairs, so if you want to avoid being late for class, you are often invited to go out half an hour early, otherwise you will easily feel tired when you are in the classroom and unable to concentrate on the course taught. I came to Sydney to rent a house outside. It is not in a school dormitory, so there are lots of houses around by, but there is a very large park directly opposite the house. I often see many people there early in the morning and in the evening. In sports, many people like to play cricket, which is very famous in Australia, on a large area of grass there on holidays. Sometimes, students in elementary school are also accompanied by their teachers to play football there. There are many restaurants, drink shops, supermarkets and student bars on the street outside the school, which is a gathering place where students often meet together to have fun and relax after class. The weather here is very dry so that drinking a lot of water is really important to keep your throat moisturize. And the four seasons in Australia is really different from Taiwan. It will be good to prepare more close with you during flight. And the transportation in here Australia is very convenience. it is easy to take bus, train, ferries and light rail to anywhere, especially on Sunday. On Sunday, we only need to pay AU2.8 then all the transportation can be token any times.(270字)

(四)自我成長

I feel that after I came here, I did not encounter too many difficulties or cultural shocks, because when we arrived here, the landlord will accompany us with all the procedures for landing, including bank account opening, mobile phone communication, Purchase of daily necessities, etc., and because Australia is a multi-ethnic and multi-national distribution country, it is easy to eat or use the things that were used to, so there is no need to spend too much time and energy to overcome or get used to new lifestyle. However, I think the only thing I am not used to when I first arrive in Sydney is the distance. Due to the large area of Australia, it often takes a lot of time to travel from the departure point to the destination. So I think time management must be done well. Before I came to Australia, I seldom took public transportation when I hang out with my family and friends. However, now I will need to travel by buses or trains due to the long destination. (175字)

(五)大三出國建議

I think that junior abroad is a good way to cultivate a person's independent lifestyle. Because you will not be constrained by your family abroad, you will easily let yourself go. Therefore, concentration is also an important key when studying abroad. In addition to the school work, you should play boldly when you got time to play, because it is very likely that you will not have such a year of studying abroad in the future. This may be the longest period of time you can stay abroad. So plan your time to travel around, and do not regret when you go back. Some of the people might feel lonely at the first time because they stay in a country far away from their hometown and have no friend to hang out with. Making friends with others is a very important things for students while staying in different country. Because of the multi-national culture, it is easier to make friends from other countries as well as to practice English speaking through different accent. Although there are many Chinese people here in Australia, especially in New South Wales, it is good to improve your English ability all together. To pretend that this is the last time you can go travel or study abroad so that planing time schedule and grasping this chance will make you life without regret.(227字)
