2019大三出國輔導通報系統 - 留學心得報告[編輯]

(一)基本資料

During my junior year, I studied at Indiana University of Pennsylvania. He is based in Pennsylvania, USA. I studied there for 1 year. In addition to many computer-related courses, I also studied some art courses, feminism and so on. course(39字)

(二)課程學習

My favorite class is Faminism, it talk about many gender issues from the past to nowadays, In the past, there is many discrimination for female, they cannot join the sports game, they cannot attend many activities, they even cannot work, and just stay at home, until now, many female even more powerful and stronger than man. So, when I in the class, I really concentrate and want to know the issues in the past and glad to own the equality for gender even I am a man. I am interest in the class not only I interest in this topic but also the professor is good at teaching, she know how to teach will attract student's attention, she know how to teach will let student absorb efficiently, so this is my favorite course. I highly recommend students to choose this course because you can know the history about how female's status begin from cant join any activity to the equality with male, and after know this process, you will more respect to female, and more feelings about female. Also, the teacher is funny and will hold may activities to let student join, and this is why I love this course. This is a small classroom course which means that there is just a few student around fifteen to twenty person take this course, so you may make friends easier and group easier too. Remember a class for this course, this day I am going to presentation, and the topic is " What do you think the meaningful and important thing for you, I present a necklace, I say " This necklace is grand grand grand father pass on and finally pass it to me, so, for me is very important. I never thought that I can talk this story to the Americans, I think this is really interest. (306字)

(三)生活環境

The campus is full of grass and trees and is good for learning, also is big enough for me. There is a wide playground for student to play football, soccer, and an professtional indoor stadium to play basketball, badminton and many facilities, like gym, library to let you not feel bored in the campus. I really like the environment there not only the weather which is comfortable with dry environment, not in wet in Taiwan, also the people there is good to make friends, unlike other place which is full of discrimination, in Indiana, many American students is friendly to Asian, so you can make friend easily. A few miles away, there are two main convenient store like Walmart and Martin, I used to went to Martin to buy fruit and some food or ice cream, and when I have to buy some daily employment, Walmart is my choice. I used to go to the convenient store with friends in weekend, we take the bus about 15-20 minutes get to Walmart or Martin. I like Indiana with many friendly American and good weather. Only the food there I cannot accept it because I am used to ate delicious food in Taiwan, so when the food quality decrease rapidly, I may not quickly accept it in the short time. Everyday is full of hamburger, French fries big meat, and no taste pasta, so in the dining hall, sometimes I will just eat cookies and juice and milk because I feel disgusting when I eat hamburger everyday. I live in Wallwork with the maximum size room, and live with four roommates, and we get along well. (274字)

(四)自我成長

When I first got to the American, I cannot live well because in the strange environment, all of the stuff and relationship you have to adapt from zero, you have to buy all of your daily employment, and you have to make new friends with foreigners, you have to join new club, and you have to adapt a new home, so everything is getting start from zero. In the beginning, I present nervous and anxiety because face to a new environment, I cannot adapt well, no matter the teaching style, the place to learn or the place for entertainment, all I cannot adapt it, and everything you have to do it independent. And the jet lag I cannot adapt well also, so everyday I cannot sleep well in the beginning. But I finally overcome these problem, I try to calm down my anxiety emotion and try to assimilate the strange environment, and try to get along with myself without family. Also, I try to make a lot of friends that when I get bored or feel upset, I will chat with them and always we will play games together. So in the American, I learn how to be more independent and not always depend on parents. Another problem there is the leaning style, initially, I cannot adapt well too because all your student and professor is foreigners, and they teach and talk quickly that you cannot absorb very well, If have any problem, you have to use English to solve it, in begin, tried very hard and sometimes I cannot solve the problem, so I fell very disappointed, but after practice English for a few month, I can use English to communicate well, and I know this is what I grow. (五)大三出國建議

English is very important, without a good English, you may hard to adapt the environment, and to realize the culture, and even to solve the problem well because everyone is speaking English, none of the student will speak Chines in the classroom unless you have a Chinese friend take the same course with you and you guys can speak Chinese smoothly, but if you not sure you are going to have a Chinese friend take the same class with you, I highly recommend you to practice English in Taiwan now because in american, you have to communicates with English in every problem include for my example, when the plug is broken that you cannot charge your phone or computer, you have to explain to room association, and tell them what problem is in English, when you are getting teamed in the class, you have to discuss with your classmates in smoothly English so that they will not feel that you are hard to communicates or even don't like you because you cannot speak English, so in conclusion, English is extremely important if you want to study abroad.fro me, I considered my English is not that well, but still can communicate, but not that smooth, so when I was in the group discussion, my classmates cannot use smoothly and rapidly English talk to me, and the discuss processing took a long time and lack of efficiency, and I feel so sorry to my classmates, so after this, I realized, English is really important. Another is be careful in american outside, do not get yourself trouble in american because first that is not your mother country, and the medical service fee is extremely expensive, or you get trouble like drinking alcohol and being caught by police, you will get a lot of trouble, even they will sent you back to Taiwan and do not let you study anymore, so this is my suggestion.(322字)
