(二)課程學習

One of my favourite class is skiing class. This is a very challenging class for me, but it is also an extremely interesting class for me. The reason that is challenge for me, who is used to the climate of Taiwan, the winter in Winona is very cold. However, ski lessons can only be taken in winter because the ski slopes here are outdoors. Keep warm, and wear a thick wind-proof coat, snow pants, and a hat. Otherwise, you will feel the wind resistance when skiing, and it will be really cold. You can feel the cold wind from head to toe. Another challenge is that we have to find a way to get to the ski resort ourselves, which means that the traffic for the class has to be handled by ourselves. On the first day of class, the teacher will ask the classmates who do not have their own transportation in the classroom to make statistics to see other students can take these people to the ski resort. Don't be shy, remember to raise your hand. Most of the people here are very friendly and willing to help you. The above describes the problems that will be encountered before the class and the preparation of the course. Next, we will talk about what we should pay attention to when skiing. Skiing is an extreme sport, which means that this sport is very dangerous. But in fact, as long as you pay attention to some issues, skiing can still be very safe. I think the most important thing is not to ski alone. This does not mean that you have to ski together from start to finish. Instead, you can slide together at a starting point and meet at the end point. This is to help each other if they really have problems. Another point is to check your ski heels and other equipment at any time. If you encounter problems, you can quickly stop and find a solution. Ski shoes and boards can be rented at the ski resort without worrying too much. If there is any problem with the equipment, it is no problem to go to the staff there to check your equipment. Winona State University's fitness center is open year-round and has a plenty of machines and equipment for every students. You’ll find free weights, bench press, leg press and more first floor. Kick it up a notch with cardio machines--from treadmills to ellipticals to rowing machines-- on the second floor. Do a few laps around the third-floor running track, which is perfect for walkers and runners alike. If you love to swim, break out a beach towel and your swimsuit and head over to Memorial Hall Pool. Perfect the butterfly stroke during lap-only sessions or splash around with friends during open swim times. Shop Around--When you need to make a Target run or stop by Wal-Mart, you don’t need to go far. Those big-box stores are right on the east end of town, while Hy-Vee is actually within walking distance from West Campus. Foodie--Winona has a little bit of everything— from burgers to burritos, sandwiches to sushi, pizza to pitas -- and a lot is local so you won’t it find anywhere else. You can also choose cafeteia. Now when it comes to coffee, you can take your pick to discover the best brew and the perfect study spot. Of course, we’ve also got the chains you love when you need a quick bite or a caffeine boost—including Panda Express, Starbucks, Caribou and Einstein Bros right here on campus. Got a sweet tooth? Winona is home to Bloedow’s Bakery—which has some of the best donuts in Minnesota. If you’re more of an ice-cream person, find your fav flavor at one of several local shops. (四)自我成長

Time management is very important, it is necessary to allocate time for learning and other entertainment time. During entertainment time, you can try a variety of different leisure and entertainment activities, or even you have done the same activities in Taiwan, but you didn't experience it in United States, you can do it again to feel the differences of them between two countries. There are many activities I didn't experience in Taiwan are very interesting. You can go paddle boarding, go bowling, watching movies, skiing, skating, snowball fighting. Paddle boarding is really interesting, but I was so scared at the first time. I felt like I was going to fall out of the paddle. I can feel that as long as I move slightly, the whole paddle ship is shaking with me. But after a while, I got used to this feeling, and the scare itself finally go away. I started to like paddle boarding. I enjoyed the moment I was on the paddle boarding. I began to enjoy the lake view on the boat, and the sun shining on the lake. I like this feeling of leisure. Snow ball fighting is an activity which I can't do in Taiwan. Me and my roommates are on the way to see our friends. One of my roommate just throw a snowball to us. Then we started the snowball fight! We played until we were all tired! These memories all became part of my memories. When I think back to these memories, I still smile unconsciously.(254字)

(五)大三出國建議

1.Don't bring too many clothes to United States. Trust me, clothes in United States is much cheaper than in Taiwan. You gonna buy a lot of new clothes there. Shoes are cheaper than in Taiwan, too. Maybe you can bring some shoes that are really old, you can have some times to choose your new shoes in America. 2.Keep yourself warm. The winter in United States, especially in Winona it is gonna be extreme cold. Stay inside the house is gonna be more safe, if you have to go outside just remember to wear your hat, thick warm jacket, boots, gloves, at least two or more pieces of clothes. 3.Don' afraid to ask question. Ask teacher or your classmates questions! Mostly they are kind and enthusiasm. Don't be shy! You can choose to ask teacher questions with emails, if you are too shy to ask face to face. 4.Before you go, you can ask more about the experience of people who have been there before. They have been there before so they may know some information you don't know. Know more information about that place is gonna reduce your tension and the chance of making mistakes. 5.Join some activities in campus or outside of campus. There are a lot of activities in Winona, like game days, international day, Chinese night... You can see when and where is the activities on website, or on the TV screen in campus. Some activities need to sign up first. Don't forget to sign up! Some events also need to pay money. But all events are really good. you will gonna like it! (268字)
