(一)基本資料

I am studying at the University of California, Long Beach. This school is located in Long Beach, California. The time of going abroad is 07/24. During this time, I was studying language courses. (二)課程學習

My favorite class is a class last semester, speaking and listening. The teacher's name is Julie. She is lively, patient, enthusiastic and cute. I like this course because it can effectively improve communication skills and give you the courage to talk and communicate with foreigners. The teacher's teaching method is to perform listening exercises once a week, and there will be a report every 2 weeks. The teacher will listen to your opinions very seriously in your report and respond to you in time to make you dare to speak. I think the challenge at the beginning of the class is that Asians are generally shy and do n’t dare to speak, express, or even speak with other Taiwanese themselves, but the teacher always tires to encourage us to speak and speak. You need to introduce your own characteristics of Guo Jia, you also need to make your own poster, tailor, design, and finally introduce the characteristics of your country in front of hundreds of people. What impressed me most is that the teacher will be in different festivals (For example, Halloween costumes) do different classroom content and makeup. In addition, in this class, we will talk and communicate with people from different countries, and the teacher will also hope that I can arrange as many people of the same nationality as possible to avoid practicing English. We only use the mother tongue and the same country Language of people who are talking, and are unwilling to talk to other people. I think the biggest challenge in this class is that when we try to talk to people from other countries, we may not be able to communicate smoothly due to the difference in the accent or English ability of the other party. (三)生活環境

Having lived in Long Beach for more than half a year, I must say that the climate there is really very comfortable. Unlike the climate in Taiwan, it is humid and sultry. The summer here will not be too hot and the winter will not be too cold. We live in an apartment, 15 minutes by bus from the campus. The school provides us with free buses to save us a lot of transportation costs. Near our apartment, there are many restaurants and supermarkets nearby. It is very convenient in terms of life function. If you want to go to costco, it only takes 15-20 minutes to open, so the overall life function is very perfect. As for the safety part, I I think it ’s safe. The apartment we live in is close to the school dormitory, so there is a police station on campus for 24 hours, so the law and order is very good. As for the part of the University of California, Long Beach, when I stepped into that campus, my first thought was only wow , Because it is super large, the facilities are very perfect (equipment for the gymnasium, there are basketball courts, rugby courts, football fields ... etc.) Etc. In addition, I like the school's club style, every club looks like Very interesting, the most special is the brotherhood, sisterhood, there are many brotherhoods of different nature (there are special games, sports-based, friends-based ... and many other different types of communities) I am very encouraged to go to dinner with these clubs and make more friends.On the one hand, I can improve my English ability, and on the other hand, I can experience clubs of different cultures.(280字)

(四)自我成長

In the United States, there is actually no imaginary discrimination against Asians. In fact, here the Ministry will discriminate against you because of your skin color and nationality. Although there was a lot of news about Chinese exclusion during the epidemic, we are fortunate not to have encountered these horrific incidents. But the difference is that their concept of epidemic prevention is really poor. The main cause of the US epidemic. In the course of school, there will still be students from other countries who think that we are in the same country as China, but I will not be unhappy or even angry because they don’t understand our history And also curious about our international situation. I am honored to take this opportunity to share with them and tell them the history of Taiwan. After all, I am a Taiwanese. We should be proud of being in the country of Taiwan. In terms of food, I think there is a big difference between Eastern and Western foods. Almost every meal here is fried food such as hamburgers, french fries, steaks, etc. It is really very oily It’s greasy, and some of them are really difficult to eat, which makes us unable to eat well. We often miss Taiwanese food, so we often miss Taiwanese food, so we occasionally ran to the Chinese district to taste Taiwanese food. It takes half an hour's drive to eat a Asian meal in the Chinese area.Although it is not so authentic, it is a pleasure to be able to eat Asian food here.(263字)

(五)大三出國建議

The suggestion for future school brothers and sisters to go abroad is that I think I have to walk more and look at the things outside. After all, the opportunity to go abroad is rare. It is difficult to have another opportunity to go abroad for a year. I also have to meet new friends and communicate different things. Ideas, learn from each other. I think that going abroad and ruining changes a lot of your ideas, values, which can’t be bought with money, and many things need to be experienced before you can understand. For people with poor English ability, I try to speak more, The courage to try to talk to people will be of great help to you. Of course, it is also important to take classes seriously, that will help to improve your English skills and add a lot of fun to your life. Of course, you may be faced without going to classes When it comes to repatriation, it must be very careful because there will be many problems after being repatriated. In the end, I think that the most important point in foreign countries is to pay attention to safety. Foreign people’s feelings are different, life, and culture are very different. And the guns are flooding abroad or I suggest to go out at night or be careful.
