2019大三出國輔導通報系統 - 留學心得報告[編輯]

(一)基本資料

(二)課程學習

Due to the COVID-19, for the term 1 class, all of it has switched to the online, therefore; I did not have the most favorite class for in term 1 course. However, for the UEEC course, there are plenty of teachers that I really like such as presentation teacher or speaking teacher and the most teacher who I like is writing teacher! She is a nice teacher as well as never gave students pressure and always encourage students not only on writing essays but also on other aspects. The most important thing is she was truly expert in teaching students how to write an excellent essay, in the 15 weeks, I felt I have improved a lot. The course also arranges that each week students need to write easily because of continuing writing easy, writing is a subject that definitely has the most improvement in UEEC. For UEEC it is a course that helps students who did not pass the IELTS test could have a chance though these courses and entry to the university of new south wales. In this course there is plenty of challenges such as presentation, each student needs to find a topic which is related to your department and gave 15 minutes’ individual presentation as well as after the presentation there are 10 minutes for others student to ask a question, hence; we need to entirely understand what are we are introducing and also predicting what will others student curious about your topic. This presentation not only impressed me but also make me understood that research is important. UEEC course is a helpful course that provides students have the ability to entry to the university, even though this course gave me a great deal of pressure, however; I thought it was a well experienced and also can meet different culture students as well as study with them.(306字)

(三)生活環境

For the university campus, it was really big!! If I need to change the classroom to attend other subject classes, sometimes I must spend about 5 minutes or even more. Due to the campus is big, for the first time that students are finding classroom also is a challenge, but after a few time, students may get more understanding the campus. Around the campus, there are also plenty of restaurants to choose such as Chinese restaurants, Japanese restaurants or fast food store, but most of the restaurant is Chinese restaurants, however, if you go to the city, there are more restaurant options to let you choose. For the accommodation, I did not live at the school dormitory, I rent my accommodation near the school about half an hour away. My landlord is truly a great person and she is also Taiwanese. The first day I arrive in Sydney, she picks me up at the airport, it was really thoughtful such as took me to the supermarket to bought daily necessities and deal with my bank account in Australia. For the weather in Sydney, in the winter it was super colder, and sometimes if it a windy day, it might become colder as well as in the summer sometimes it is really hot but compare to Taiwan I still can handle it. I think it was because the temperature is different between day and night in Sydney, thus; it would not be super-hot at night when it is summer. For transportation or restaurant or accommodation, it is all convenient. There are light rail and buses near the school and it is also convenient to go to the city directly. Live in Sydney is the best choice not only convenient and save but also have a good condition to let people live here.(300字)

(四)自我成長

Study abroad one year was seeming like a challenge, however, it was not difficult that we think. This is because you would be used to the situation, at the beginning you would felt it might be difficult to find the same food or the things that you use in Taiwan, but after a few weeks, you would think it was not a big deal because there is also plenty of a different kind of food in here. Thus, it was no needed to conquer life in other countries. The course that I study here was kind of difficult such as term 1 course “software engineering fundamental”. This is because it taught the different programming languages that I did not learn before. Even though it was difficult, but it was still good for me to learn a different kind of programming language. Despite I did not learn before, if I have a question about programming, teachers also have the patience to teach me, and also my term members were really kind to teach me step by step to let me understand the programming. The students and teachers were friendly to help me any questions, hence; I think it was lucky and thankful. However, for the culture of cultural shock, it did not happen on me or on my friends in Sydney, therefore; I think culture shock was not a serious problem in Sydney. (231字)

(五)大三出國建議

For the student that is coming for the university of new south wales, I strongly recommend come here to study. This is because new south wales not only are the top 50 best of the university but it is also convenient here and it is also not far from Taiwan. For all of the conditions in Sydney, it satisfied me and I love Sydney now because of the weather, living style, and people's passion. Therefore, students who want to come to new south wales to study is the best choice. (this is my person recommend) Furthermore, if you want to study UNSW, you can take IELTS or TOEFL! If you have free time on holiday, I strongly recommend going to other states to visits such as Melbourne or Brisbane, yet; I personally recommend Melbourne because of the old building and living style and also for the delicious foods. The most important thing is going to New Zealand, but I did not go to visits because of the COVID-19... It is unfortunately...(170字)

(六)其他

The most experience that happened in Sydney was I went to see the fireworks for the New Year's Eve, it was really really really beautiful and spectacular. In spite of it was super hot in December, but the fireworks for New Year's Eve were definitely worth going to see it when you come here! (54字)
