(一)基本資料

Study abroad: Winona State University City: Winona In the last semester, the main courses are courses, and in the next semester, the courses are free and optional. During the last semester, WSU teachers will send us a letter to recommend courses that we can take. We can reply to the teacher that those courses you want to take or don’t want to take, or want to add courses. You can still discuss with that teacher during the new training period. The next semester will be random. If you want to take whatever you want, just take a lesson.(99字)

(二)課程學習

My most recommended course is a web design, but because both semesters are the same external teacher, I am unsure whether it will be the same teacher next school year! If the score is five stars, I will give five, and he will take us to practice and implement slowly in class. There are two classes a week, one level is mainly for class, and the other course is for homework (sometimes a class will be practiced first). The teacher will give you a printed webpage, and will also give you the source of the photo, but the lesson is to make the same webpage published by the teacher. There will not be much difficulty in learning, as long as you pay attention to the class, you can write it. The teacher also mentioned the reference teaching on the web page, so he would not be able to ask him, ask his classmates, or search online. You can learn a lot from this class. At the end of the semester, you will also be required to say that you have at least four web pages (that is, you must know how to use what you have learned throughout the semester). If my siblings ask me to push the teacher ’s class, I can practice the teacher ’s homework after class, and I suggest buying a textbook. Some of the exams will come from the book! There are many courses recommended. If you are not afraid of tiredness and want to learn more subjects that are not courses, you can go to watch online courses. Although there are many materials to be read, you can learn a lot of knowledge that has not been discovered. I take a course in financial literacy. Online classes consist of reading one unit of internship per week and then writing homework. It may be group discussion with classmates to write discussions or to write eight pages of paper by yourself.(325字)

(三)生活環境

Because I did not live in a school dormitory, I rent a house with my classmates outside. There is a barbershop in the surrounding environment, but I have never been to it. There are also small supermarkets over there, and there are some foods to buy. If you usually want to buy water or food and do n’t want to go to Walmart or the supermarket far from midtown, you can buy the things you need at the kwik-trip convenience store. As for going to Walmart or Midtown, it takes 30 minutes to walk to the supermarket. You can also take a lyft to buy things. It costs 8 dollars per trip, or you can find a friend and share the amount. It will be cheaper. I recommend buying winter coats after arriving at Winona. There will be activities at the school that can take you to the Mall of American. Let you go shopping all day to see what is needed. I think that gloves are not a necessity unless you want to build snowballs and snowmen. In terms of eating, if you pay special attention to body management, I suggest buying the ingredients yourself to cook instead of eating in the school restaurant. Otherwise, it ’s easy to get fat !!! It ’s easy to get fat !!! I started to eat three meals at school in the beginning and was invited by my friends to eat the midnight snack. (239字)

(四)自我成長

The biggest cultural shock for me is that Americans are very enthusiastic, and sometimes they can chat with you at the post office or supermarket. Chat to talk about where we came from, why did we come ... etc. The more complicated life is that it is not convenient to go anywhere. It only takes more than 2 hours to go to the airport, and there are places to go nearby. It is rural compared to the urban centers of New York. Especially when it snows in winter, someone will start shoveling snow at 6 a.m. Last year's elder sister said that it was going to be suspended due to heavy snowfall, but when we went today, it was not so exaggerated. It was just because COVID-19 caused the suspension of classes for nearly a month and then changed to online courses. Class experience, you must at least listen to the class. After class, we need to review; in fact, the United States depends on the subject to determine the number of homework. Some subjects have no assignments for exams, some subjects have no assignments but many assignments, and some have both exams and assignments. But no matter which one you take, take notes in class. In terms of clothes, I would recommend bringing your clothes in the past. After winter, you can find a moving company to help you return to Taiwan. If there are many people, you will also have discounts. If you are afraid that too many things will not be brought back to Taiwan and you feel that it is acceptable to spend the money to send the goods home, it is highly recommended to go home by the sea.(282字)

(五)大三出國建議

I think the suggestion to go abroad is easy. Don't be too nervous; the teachers at Winona are outstanding. If you need help, you can write to them and be happy to help us solve many difficulties. Learn as much as you can, or take a look around while you are in the United States. For example, I went to Yellow Knife Town in Canada to see the aurora and went to Universal Studios and Disneyland in Orlando and Chicago's famous attractions. If it weren't for the epidemic situation, it was initially planned to go to Broadway in New York to watch the opera before returning to Taiwan. If you live outside, choose your roommate carefully. Everyone lives in a home, whether it is clean or hygienic customs are essential. It is easy to quarrel because of different health habits or different daily routines. Pay attention to safety in foreign countries, and take care of each other. Although Winona is more rural than the city, you must pay attention to security. If there is a class that starts at 8 pm, go back to the dormitory together.(186字)
