(二)課程學習

The courses what I like the most is Media history, becausethe learning environment of the class is very relaxed, the teacher always interacts with classmates. If students have questions, they can ask questions at any time. When the lesson gets to a paragraph, the teacher will retain for a period of time everyone to ask questions.Still remember that I felt unaccustomed when I just started class because the professor would randomly order classmates to answer questions, and there have been many group discussion activities, but through these processes, I learned a lot of knowledge.In addition to the general professional class time, this class also has extra discussion classes. This class relatively easier than the professional class. Everyone sits in a circle, or three or four people form a group to conduct some questions or specific situations raised by the teacher discuss.After the discussion, the teacher will listen to the discussion results of each group, or the group will send one or more members to the presentation, then the teacher will give a score and guidance on the performance and results of the discussion process. This way of the class creates a lot of different sparks, which will also make people more interested in the discussion topic.In the classroom, I also met many international students from different places and can understand the national customs of various cultures. After contacting and experiencing more people and things, my vision has been broadened. (243字)

(三)生活環境

I find the apartment and signed a contract with the agency before went abroad. I rent the place is near the city campus because it is very convenient to walk to the bus stop on the city campus for 5 minutes and take the free bus to the st.peter campus.Moreover, it only takes ten minutes to walk from the place where I live in the Sunderland city center store. There are some supermarkets such as Tesco, M & S and other large stores and a pound store. There are also local shopping or movie theaters in the surroundings, that you can buy some clothing or gifts. there are two Chinese supermarkets outside the city center, we can buy some Asian snacks or supplies, which is very convenient! Although it is located in the countryside, it will not be real rural, because there is an MRT from the school directly to Newcastle Airport or the northern big cities of Newcastle and Chinatown, the railway transportation is also very developed, take the train from Sunderland It only takes three and a half hours in London, and if you buy tickets early, there are discounts. There is still a discount for applying for the Youth Subway Card, which is very cost-effective! In the beginning, I was not used to the shop here ended early(most of the shops and restaurants closed before 6 o'clock), also the lifestyle here is different from ours, almost all are fried or greasy food, So I usually go to the supermarket to buy the ingredients after class time then go home to cook or go to a friend’s house to eat together, it is not only can save money but also eat healthily!(285字)

(四)自我成長

The option of studying abroad in my junior year allowed me to leave Taiwan, fly to the other side of the world for a while, and experience new things that I have never experienced before, because I had never been to Europe before the exchange and had only travel experience China, Japan, and other Asian regions. I remember the day I left. I was dragging a 30kg suitcase with my right hand from Taoyuan Airport. When I transferred to Holland on the way, I felt very uneasy. After all, I was so far away from home for the first time. I took the plane myself and was afraid that if something happened, I could not communicate with the locals...In the year of going abroad, everything must be solved by yourself, such as cooking meals, meeting classmates and discussing reports, solving bank account opening, and handling phone cards... Even when planning travel, you must rely on yourself to book transportation tickets and accommodation Wait, but also worry that if you encounter a pickpocket wallet, mobile phone and passport on the road, you will have to go to the police and reapply for the solution.I rarely cook before I go to the exchange because Taiwan is so convenient. There are 24-hour convenience stores or night markets to buy things to eat, but I have to learn this new skill when I come here. Even the school has student restaurants, but it costs about NT$150 per meal and British food is nothing more than hamburgers, french fries, salads, pizzas, etc. At first, these authentic foods will be full of freshness, but if you eat for a long time, you still can‘t be accustomed to it. Besides, the price in the UK is also relatively high, so to save money I try to cook my meals. After all, the work here is different from ours,their store will close at a certain time. If you don’t cook some simple food it would be very inconvenient.(335字)

(五)大三出國建議

Exchange is a good experience, you can leave the comfort zone, go out and experience a different life, no matter which school you go to for study, you leave the place you are familiar with and live in another environment; start again in another environment 、knowing another group of people and experiencing another life are all good experiences for yourself and a source of motivation for the next stage of life. The opportunity to stay in a new environment for a few months and learn about their life and work there is a very meaningful experience.During the year of exchange, I took a lot of photos then made it to a special postcard sent to friends or family to share the life of abroad, it was also a kind of commemoration. Choose a different way to record life, except text also photos, and videos. Many trivial clips are precious memories when you return to your original life! For example, I stayed for 8 months this time and photographed daily things such as taking the subway for the trip, joining even chatting with friends. Although I returned to the country earlier because of the COVID-19, when I recall what happened of this year, I think is to know more about the world and many people who have not appeared in my life, it seems to be a rare experience for me.(230字)
