(二)課程學習

In RMIT, all of the professors, students and staffs are kind and willing to help, and they treat international students very well because they know it will be nervous for us to study in a foreign country. On the first day of school, I feel that everyone in this school is friendly. For instance, my friends and I got lost in the school, we can't find the opening ceremony and we are a little bit late, then we asked someone who wore 'information staff' for help, and they all have a smile on their face and show us the way to the classroom. And When it comes to my favorite courses, I will definitely say 'Lead and manage team effectiveness' because the teacher likes to use some humor way to teach the class and the atmosphere is easy and lively. Also, this course teach me lots of management skills and techniques and learn some knowledge about the method of being a leader in the workplace. The teacher, David Plowman, is also a light-hearted and lively person, which makes me have more motivation to learn. The second class I will recommend is 'Promote products and services to international markets'. This is because I learned how to promote goods to the target market, and it is very important when you want to enter a market and catch people's preferences. Thus, this is an impressive lesson I've learned from this course. And in this course, the assignment is not that difficult, because the teacher will help every single student until we submit online, he will check our progress of the assessment in each class, and help me a lot when I have questions or problems. After this one-year study experience in RMIT, I would highly recommend other people to take this diploma and then you will definitely learn a lot from all these courses.(311字)

(三)生活環境

RMIT doesn't offer dormitory for international students to live in, thus, we find our own place online and the environment was quite nice, the transportation is very convenient, there are two tram stops near our place and we lived in the central area of the city, so it is very easy to go shopping, buy some groceries, having some food and go to some places that need to take tram. The supermarket (Coles, Woolworths) is just ten minutes away, I don't even need to take the tram to get there; there also some department stores in the city, it is a good place to go especially on Black Friday, Cyber Monday or boxing day, there will have lots of discount on those specific days. You might also be interesting what's the food culture there and what I ate there, sometimes I would buy some ingredients from the supermarket and cook by myself, sometimes I would eating-out with my friends, and because Melbourne is a multi-cultural city, so there are many types of food and it's not too hard to find the cuisine you want to eat. As for the climate, Australia's season is totally opposite from Taiwan. In winter, it won't colder than Taiwan because the weather is dry, so same as summer, it won't hotter than Taiwan, but sometimes the temperature will high up to 40 degrees! which will make people exhausted. In conclusion, the above are the environment information of Melbourne, it is still a livable city and I really enjoy my life here.(255字)

(四)自我成長

Being independent is one of the things I've learned in my abroad life, and actually, in the first month was my toughest time in Melbourne, because I miss Taiwan so much, I miss my family, friends and food in Taiwan. But this mood didn't affect me too long, I start to accept everything, and I start to enjoy my life in Australia because I know this is a special abroad experience. But there still have some difficulties that I have to overcome. For instance, although in TKU we have already use English in our everyday life, but in Australia it was a totally different experience, and I was embarrassed and afraid talking to foreigners, but practice makes perfect! I know the more I speak, the more fluently I can talk with them. At last, I even can have a pleasant chat with the customer in my workplace. And I didn't receive many cultural shocks from their lifestyle, maybe it is because I have already seen too many TV series and movies, and I knew the habits and customs of western countries. There's only one thing that I was very confused-- their humor and cold jokes, when chatting with Australians, they like to tell jokes that I don't understand, and it would be awkward if I do nothing. Therefore, whenever they told me some jokes and I don't know what exactly it means, I will laugh but with no reason. Maybe I should know some local slangs or jokes when I revisit Australia next time.(254字)

(五)大三出國建議

To all the juniors who want to choose Australia for your destination, then I will definitely say this will be your best choice! Because Australia is famous for its education, and the people here are warm-hearted and enthusiastic, you will feel like Australia is your second home, but when you are nostalgic and homesick, it's not even a problem! Because there are many Asian restaurants in the cities, sometimes I will miss Taiwan too, when this feeling comes in mind, these restaurants can remove those feelings, but it is still important to try Aussie food there. For example, I love to enjoy brunch when I was in Australia, and it is worth mention that their coffee is the best in the world! especially the flat white is one of my beloved coffee. And the most important of all, If you have summer vacay or semester break/spring break, I would recommend to have a trip to other cities instead of stay in the city you are familiar with. It is a great chance to look around and enjoy the life in Australia, and I would suggest go to Cairns, which in the state of Queensland, the pace in Cairns is very slow, it feels like you are really on a vacation, and the lifestyle there is totally dissimilar when compares to other cities in Australia. In conclusion, if you decide to study in Australia, remember to enjoy your life out there, work hard, play hard, and let this year become your precious memory of your life!(256字)
