2019大三出國輔導通報系統 - 留學心得報告[編輯]

(一)基本資料

My school is Sunderland of University in England, which is a really big and beautiful school. There are three campuses one is in London, the other two are St. Peter and city Campus in Sunderland. From 15Jul2019 till 29May2020. We have a lot of different class can chose, and my choice all about tourism.(54字)

(二)課程學習

My favourite class is “Impacts of Festival and Events”. The teacher’s accent is very clear, very pleasant to hear, and the teacher will not only read the slide on the power point in class but also add a lot of knowledge. The teacher will also care about each student, but will not force the students to answer. Let me not feel too much pressure, but more relaxed and happy class. Is a very serious teacher. Also let me feel that this class can really learn something, even if the final unqualified or the score is not ideal, it will not feel unworthy. This class also gives us outdoor teaching so we can know Sunderland better. Introduced a lot of scenic spots in Sunderland, to let us write reports and give us inspiration. I like this kind of teaching very much. I don’t feel bored but interesting. There are three hours of classes in a week, it links two of which. One hour for class and another for discussion. I like this interactive mode of teaching very much. Finally, I have to hand in a paper, a group report, and then write homework to look up materials. I feel that I have learned a lot.(206字)

(三)生活環境

The school environment is wonderful. There are school meals and snack vending machines. There are one kind of soup, French fries, potato chips, and many meals. The chocolate milk sold by vending machine is cheap and delicious! It’s the best choice! The library is enormous, and there are many public computers for students to do reports or papers. You can also buy photocopy cards online, and print materials with the school’s computer, which is very convenient. There are school dormitories in the accommodation part. Although they are relatively cheap, they are not much different from the prices near the urban area. The school dormitories are remote, and there is no school bus to take on holidays, which is very inconvenient. So many people live near the city. I finally chose the student dormitory. In the city, about 360 pounds a month. The room is not big or small, just a person. They have their own toilets. We share the kitchen and living room. Because there are no windows, it’s a central air conditioner, but it won’t become boiling. It feels cold occasionally. It’s very ventilated. The temperature is basically maintained at 19 ℃. Because my room is the cheapest in the centre of the city, so it’s very cost effective on the whole. There should be all of them. It’s highly recommended. Sunderland is a very suitable place for reading, there should be, but no more. There are many supermarkets, Tesco is the most famous, but frozen food is the most famous in Iceland. There are also many small supermarkets and German supermarkets. Some things in small supermarkets will be cheaper. If you are bored, I recommend you to go shopping, and maybe you will find treasure. If you want to eat bread, the German supermarket’s bread is the best and the cheapest, especially frozen garlic bread. It’s very delicious and convenient to eat. It only snowed for a few days this time, but the weather is still cold. Even in summer, it won’t be sultry. Because it is near the sea, the wind will be great and the skin will often feel dry and dry. So the lotion is very important. It’s not very expensive to cook everything by yourself. Some things are cheaper than Taiwan, such as milk and butter. (390字)

When I first got there, probably because it was the countryside, plus the American accent I learned before, the British accent was too much, so I cannot understand. However, with the development of business there, there are more and more opportunities to communicate with local people. In addition, I have to listen to BBC radio every day when I get up, so I gradually understand what they are talking about. In fact, it’s easy to get fat if there’s a kitchen in the UK to make food conveniently. What’s not cheap is the cheapest one with high calories. Cheese is cheap, bread is cheap, milk, butter, egg, tomato sauce is cheaper, bacon, avocado is not expensive. If you get any calories, it will explode. At last, you’ll get a lot of fat. There is no zebra crossing in England, but it will tell you to pay attention to the left or the right. There are traffic lights in Britain, but usually as long as there is no car, people will automatically ignore the traffic lights and then walk to the opposite side. At first, I was not used to their traffic, but gradually I became familiar with it and became like them. Another thing that shocked me was that people in England don’t hold umbrellas, especially in Sunderland. Later, it was found that Sunderland was close to the sea, so the wind was strong. Even holding an umbrella didn’t work. Later, I lost it. The British are very rigid. So we need to deal with things step by step, which becomes a long time to deal with.(273字)

(五)大三出國建議

For the part of food, I suggest it to cook all by yourself, because it saves a lot of money, but don’t buy too much at one time, it’s easy to not finish. You can also download many cafes or fast food stores’ apps, and you can exchange things or have some coupons. In fact, you didn’t take many things to there. There have everything you need and cheap. The water quality in England is not good. Many people feel that their hair has lost a lot when they go there. I would recommend buying the ginger shampoo from the body shop. It may be strange to use it at first, but you can feel less hair loss with the entire bottle. I recommend Brita for the water filter. I heard that other brands are not effective. Otherwise, I drink bottled water. I’ve drunk almost all brands. Wilko’s water is the most like the taste of Taiwan’s water. Other tastes are a little strange. For the living part, if the budget is limited, I recommend my house. It’s a student apartment, only for students, so it’s safer. Plus the location is very good, downstairs is the chain cafe and subway, opposite is KFC. Less than two minutes’ walk is the supermarket. It takes less than five minutes’ walk to take the school bus. However, you can come to Sunderland to live in Airbnb for two weeks first. First, you look at the house, make sure you like it, the price is OK, and then sign a contract to live in it. Otherwise, if you don’t like to change your house later, you must spend a lot of money! There are many houses in Sunderland, don’t be afraid you can’t find them! If you want to live in a better house, it’s recommended to Jopling house, which is very similar to staying in a hotel, very comfortable, an enormous space, with its own toilet, dressing room and refrigerator. As long as you put the garbage bag in the room's door, someone will help you collect the garbage. There is a common problem in English houses, the sound insulation is very poor. A friendly house must have better sound insulation, but it is just a little. Sunderland also has direct trains to Newcastle Airport and London, which is convenient. (399字)
