2019大三出國輔導通報系統 - 留學心得報告[編輯]

(一)基本資料

I live in Sunderland where is near the biggest city in the middle part of the UK. Unfortunately I've only staid there for around 8 months due to the outbreak of COVID-19. (31字)

(二)課程學習

There is no such as a favourite course for me because I'm that kind of person do not go the school if I can learn it from myself. There is only a little thing you can get by attending to school where you will probably only get a one hour lecture in a week. The primary stuff here during the time in the UK is self-learning, and also you need to learn to appreciate the time you have with yourself. Otherwise, you will just get lost. If I must I would recommend psychology in the media and Mind to world to let you explore more about human mind, behavior and reactions of facing certain circumstances. You might find it scary to attend the lecture cause their might be no classmate from Asia, but you must not worry, everyone are extremely friendly. After studing, I believe it will be truly helpful for developing a critical thinking.(155字)

It is kind of weird to live in Sunderland for almost one year. Tha t place was so different compare with the cities l have stayed in the UK. The most challenging things to do here in the Sunderland is to listen to their accent. For me, if I spell the words correctly in the IELTS test. I could score an average of about 7.5, but living in this place really challenge my listening and crush the confidant of my English ability. I was never afraid, this place does scare me when I landed. After months of experiences in the UK, I started to get used to it. And making more not only from Taiwan but also people around the world. Although there is some argument between people at the end of the exchanging period, everything you experience is some kind of lessons that you can learn. Even you have a fight with others or making a fantastic friend from places you have never imagined. You have always need to be positive, open-minded and grateful for those people who teach you a lesson. The environment in the UK where there are no people, culture, laws, ex... that you are familiar with forcing you to depend on some people you would not even talk to. This vibe really pulls you out of your comfort zone makes you even harder to defeat.This year has been a fantastic year for me, having a new life in Britain, meeting new friends, being more independent and on and on. But also, it is unfortunate for people to face the worse economic crisis since the 1930s bring by the deadly virus of COVID-19. The journey which is so tensed starting from the outbreak everything was under control at first but soon after March everything when down. London then becomes the first place attacked by the virus, and a few weeks later thing just gets worse and worse. Then people are getting more nerves about it. More and more people are discussing to discuss weather to fight back to their country, and I started to get worried about it. And the trip back to Taiwan was just like a series of Black Mirror. Everything was very close to falling apart, unlike others, the ticket they booked had been cancel for more than 2 times, and during their flight, they might need to provide their health condition certificate. It was really an unusual experience for me and for all the people around the world. But sometimes having a break for yourself to put your self together can help you on the way to success. And to examine things you have done in recent year, more importantly, setting a new goal and have more time with yourself, friends and your family. (461字)

(五)大三出國建議

In the University of Sunderland, attending the lecture isn't mandatory for the students. It is quite lovely for learners like me who wish to have the right to pick the things that they want to acquire. Frankly, I was sick of the education system in Taiwan where people only makes you learn useless stuff and compel you to the school every single lecture. You can just pretend you are exciting in the class where no one cares. In Britain, I can do whatever I want, or I think it is essential. Planning my life and start going for it with my commitment, I have earned more than 500 thousands of NT dollars in just a month. Back to the topic, living along in another country really makes people more independent. I remember the first time I went to the supermarket not knowing everything to buy some ingredient for supper, time after time I started to learn things that I have never learned in Taiwan and words people use. Still, we did not teach in our school. Also, there are some words that we learn, but it has only been used in America. Every day waking up is like opening some kind of present. Bringing new elements into my life. While I was in Taiwan, lots of my friends were studying aboard told me that the first thing you will learn is to play mahjong. After a month of experience in the UK, the lifestyle of Brits becomes part of my life. That is when I began picking up the habit of playing mahjong. Some will think playing it will form a bad attitude towards life. Still, I believe as long as you don't excess, playing mahjong could actually bring people together and create friendship.(293字)
