2019大三出國輔導通報系統 - 留學心得報告[編輯]

(一)基本資料

My third year of studying abroad university is Charles University; known also as Charles University in Prague or historically as the University of Prague, is the oldest and largest university in the Czech Republic. It is one of the oldest universities in Europe in continuous operation.(46字)

(二)課程學習

In this year, I choose a lot of professional courses related to my major in first semester. For example, Principle of economic, Democracy challenge, Social research and so on. I found that the teaching method is so different from Taiwan. There are more group discussions and focus on encourage students to share their own thoughts. For the second semester, I choose the more basic course to build my basic English ability. For example, basic English course I and III, intercultural communication and so on. It’s really sad that I can’t take these courses in a normal way due to the corona virus. For me, the most interesting course goes to the basic English course. Most of my classmates are the local student from Czech Republic and rest of classmates come from Kazakhstan, China, Japan and Korea. At first, I was so worried that I couldn’t fit in the course. The fact shows that I have too much worried about that because the study activities make us get close immediately. We have different and verity topic to discuss every week and focus on the point that people should share the thoughts to each other. We use the level test created by the British Council. However, the whole course is very interesting because of the teacher with a sense of humor. I strongly recommend to take the whole other course from this teacher, she is Aleksandra. In the end of this course, though we have a harsh situation to take course. Aleksandra still try some new way to conduct the class. We use Zoom to make our group discussion better in the situation and still give our presentation to everyone. It’s really impressed for me. And I also want to recommend another course. It’s called Security Issues in Japan and the Far East Asia. Professor is from Japan and he is really nice to us in the course. This is another opportunity for people that understand what it feels like to understand a familiar content in different teaching ways. (342字)

(三)生活環境

My roommate and I lived in the center of Prague. Our apartment next to the national museum. It is really convenience there and near to the building which has Czech language course. There is also some different topic of economics courses in the same building. The other building which has the topic of politics topic courses is a little far from the center of Prague. However, the transportation in Prague is very convenient and also cheap. People can find most of tourism attractions in the Prague by subway. For me, the most impressive transportation is tram on the road. People can enjoy the beautiful scene on the way to everywhere in Prague by the tram. I think it would be a really special experience for Taiwanese. The climate in Prague is very comfortable but a little dry. It is not too cold in Winter and not too hot in Summer. But it often rains here in the end of the Winter and actually rarely snows in the Winter. Last but not least, if you love to travel. I strongly recommend that come to Charles University. Because the place where Czech Republic is in the middle of the Europe so people are easy and spend little money to go to other countries. For instance, Germany, French, England and so on. (219字)

(四)自我成長

When I first went to Czech Republic, I was really afraid that people from east Europe would be unfriendly to foreigners because I have the stereotype for them at first. However, the truth is that people are really friendly and love to help other people from other country. I also realize that every country definitely has different culture. We can’t judge them by our traditional thoughts or some stereotype things. In the whole journey, the most immersive experience is going to the concert in Poland. This is my first time that go to a trip abroad by my own. I have done everything and met the random situation by myself without any help. It is really a great experience for me because you can do anything. People realize which is not difficult. Just need to believe in themselves. Furthermore, going to a concert in another country, it always a wish list in my life. This time, I feel the completely different atmosphere in Poland. The fan from other European countries see the performance with their high tension. Just like everyone knows each other and play with each other in the night club. First, it is really shock for me because it is totally different way to show the love to the performer from Asian countries. I’m so glad that I can feel like I really get into this group and enjoy what we love together. So, I also realize the meaning of saying says the “Music Without Borders”. (250字)

(五)大三出國建議

My suggestion of choosing the university is based on the place that you like. Most importantly, people have to know that what is the objective in this year. For example, my objective is to travel around the whole Europe. Perhaps, some of people want to travel around the USA. My conclusion is that you have to know where you want to go and image that you have to stay the place for almost one nine months.When I was talking to the students, I took some pictures and made them into postcards, which made a very nice memory. I think it is possible to record life in many ways. No matter by words, photos, and films are fine. Many broken pieces memories are precious memories when they go back to their original life. For example, after staying for six months this time, I took pictures of such daily things as taking the subway and tram, calling for food delivery, and chatting with friends, and now it seems to be a very enjoyable experience for me. So, another suggestion is that please record your life when you in the place which is really new for you. (195字)
