(一)基本資料

The third year of studying abroad is the University of Sunderland in the United Kingdom. During the trip abroad, due to the impact of the coronavirus, the British epidemic was very serious and it was a pity that the courses of the next semester could not be successfully completed. But the courses taken in the last semester are quite interesting. In this year, I learned a lot of different content and diversified, so I understand a lot of British history.(80字)

In the course of learning, the most interesting thing I found was Intro To Media And Cultural Studies. First of all, I have a lot of interest in media studies, and then the way of teaching is also very interesting! Every week we will prepare different themes, let us learn a lot about the media industry, photography industry, popular culture and how to distinguish and express the narrative and type. The instructor Barbara was very lively during the class. If there is something I don't understand, the teacher will repeat it slowly. Because the media has to pay two reports for this class, Mr. Barbara will also open an extra extra time every week so that we can think about how to draft our report, tell her the big steel structure, and let you write your report. More direction. In the last semester, I took two courses in the Department of Tourism and a media course. I chose an Impacts of event and festival in the next semester. This is a very interesting class. The last assignment is a group report. Schools have announced the suspension of classes, and group reports have also turned in assignments, but before that I was able to think about a theme with students from different countries, so as to learn about the culture of many different countries.I also recommend a class called Global Tourism. Each class mentions the history of the world. Every week seems to be like going to that country or city. The teacher will especially remember where the students in the class come from. The University of Sunderland has two campuses, and St.Peter is the Campus campus. I am reading about tourism and media, so the class is at the St.Peter campus by the sea. There is a historic church near the St.Peter campus, which is made of stone and has a very beautiful appearance. It will pass by every class. There is also a glass museum near this campus, which is also a well-known place in Sunderland. I rented a house close to the Campus campus. It is not inconvenient to go to another campus to take classes. Taking Metro or a bus that cooperates with the school, as long as you show your student ID, you can take it for free, which is quite convenient. I live about seven minutes walk from the city. The city of Sunderland, although not as bustling as London, is a small, warm and lovely little city. The climate in Britain is relatively dry, and the temperature difference between morning and night will not be very large, that is, it is very cold all day. Probably June and July is their summer, the highest temperature is about 22 ~ 24 degrees, the climate is very comfortable. It is recommended to remember the shower head with filtered water to filter the water quality. After all, the water quality in the UK is harder, and most international students cannot adapt to it, which can cause hair loss.Transport costs in the UK are not as cheap as those in Taiwan. If you plan to go, it will be more cost-effective to book tickets early. In terms of food, outside food is usually more expensive, and sometimes it may not be delicious. When I first came to the UK, I was not used to British accent, so I often could n’t hear what the British wanted to say. In the classroom, the teacher was also a British accent but gradually got used to British English. The British are very polite. They will say sorry even if they accidentally bump into the road. Sitting face to face in the subway will give you a warm smile even if they don't know each other. The problem in life is that after the occurrence of the coronavirus, Europeans are very discriminatory against Asians, so when you go to the supermarket, you simply buy something, and the clerk will look at you with strange eyes. My friend and I went to London and planned to stay for a day, but the store clerk almost refused to stay, only because we were Asian faces, and finally presented passports to prove that we are Taiwanese before allowing.The nightlife in the UK is quite lively and there are so many bars, so try not to go out alone at night. It's very dangerous. About 8 or 9 pm, the bar will start to be fun, and there will be a lot of drunk people on the road.The University of Sunderland has students from all over the world and can learn about the culture of different countries, because the course I studied is a class in the Department of Tourism, and also mentioned cultural heritage around the world. (五)大三出國建議

Studying abroad for a year is a very rare opportunity to expand your horizons, broaden your knowledge, increase your values of the world, and experience the different teaching attitudes and modes of teaching abroad. The UK is more open In the teaching mode, the teacher will not force you to say what you must do and what you must write, but every class will open a reading list. The books you read can help you better cite your report or article, and the students will be independent Sexually go to the library to read even if it is not exam weeks. Don’t be afraid to make your own remarks in the classroom. The teachers will answer you patiently. If you do not understand, you should ask immediately. Try to know as many classmates as possible to help you speak more English. The United Kingdom is full of museums and galleries and is full of the history of the Middle Ages. If you choose the United Kingdom as your study abroad school, you may wish to visit their museums and galleries to learn more about their cultural history during this year. Absorb more new knowledge. The buildings in Britain are full of the style of the ancient century. No matter which city you go to, you can visit their cathedral, it is very beautiful. Take advantage of this year ’s opportunity to learn to face all problems and crises independently, because in a country that is unfamiliar and is not a native language, when you can solve all problems independently, this will be the year you gain the most.
