One of my favorite classes is Forensic Science Survey. This class is all about solving mysteries using science. I recommend it for a few reasons. Firstly, the subject matter is fascinating. We learn about how to analyze evidence from crime scenes, like fingerprints, DNA, and even bugs! It's like being a detective, but using science to uncover the truth. Secondly, the class is very hands-on. We get to work in a mock crime scene and use real forensic tools. It's exciting to put what we learn into practice and see how it's used to catch criminals. Another reason I love this class is the critical thinking it encourages. We have to piece together different bits of evidence to create a complete picture of what happened. It's like solving a puzzle, and it really makes you think outside the box. The teacher is also a big part of why I enjoy this class. They have a lot of experience in the field and share real-life cases that show us how important forensic science is in solving crimes. They make the class engaging and are always there to help us when we have questions. Finally, I believe that learning about forensic science is important for society. It helps us understand how justice is served and how scientific methods can make a significant difference in legal cases. Instead of solely relying on what the news says, you can seek out more professional reports. In conclusion, Forensic Science Survey is an amazing class because of its captivating subject, hands-on approach, critical thinking development, knowledgeable teacher, and its relevance to the real world. If you're curious about solving mysteries and want to learn how science can be a superpower in the legal system, this class is definitely worth taking!(294字)

Studying at California State University, Long Beach (CSULB) as an exchange student for a whole year has been an incredible experience. Let me tell you all about it! When I first got here, I was lucky to find accommodation near the campus by myself. Living near campus is super convenient because I just need a short drive about 10 minutes to school. But living in dorm you will have more fun, the campus is like a little community with everything you need – classrooms, libraries, and you can easily to hang out with friends who just live next door. One of the best things about CSULB is the awesome facilities they have. There's a big swimming pool where I can swim and relax. There's also a gym where I can work out. You won't believe it, but I've actually lost around 35 kilos since I got here, all thanks to the gym and swimming pool. It feels great to be healthier and more active. The campus is huge, and that's something I really like. In Taiwan, where I'm from, the campuses are much smaller. But here at CSULB, the big campus feels like a city of its own. The best part? The campus is skateboard-friendly! The roads are designed in a way that makes it easy to ride a skateboard. It's so much fun to skate around and get to my classes in a cool way. Talking about the weather, Long Beach has a bit of a hot climate in the mornings, which is something I enjoy. It's a nice change from Taiwan. And in the evenings, it gets cooler, which is perfect for relaxing and hanging out with friends outside. Something really cool happens every Wednesday – the pantry shop gives out free food! I can find all sorts of goodies there, like fresh fruits, different kinds of wraps, and even yummy Mexican food. It's a nice treat and a great way to try new foods. Studying at CSULB has been a fantastic adventure. The campus, the facilities, the weather, and the free food – all these things have made my exchange year unforgettable. I've not only learned a lot in class but also had so much fun exploring the campus and the city of Long Beach. If you're thinking about studying abroad, CSULB is definitely a place you should consider!(387字)

Living off-campus has brought its own set of challenges and experiences during my exchange year at California State University, Long Beach (CSULB). Before I could fully immerse myself in the campus life, I needed to address housing issues like managing utility bills for electricity, water, and gas. It was a new responsibility for me, but gradually I learned how to handle these practical matters. One of the perks of living off-campus was having my own kitchen. I decided to make the most of it by learning how to cook, especially preparing dishes from my hometown. It was a delightful journey of experimenting with flavors and learning essential culinary skills. Driving was another aspect that required my attention. To fully explore the area, I needed a car, but California recognized my international driver's license for only one month. So, in my first month, I underwent the license test and managed to buy a car privately. Dealing with the paperwork and arranging the necessary insurance was quite a process, but it was rewarding to have the freedom to travel around. As my exchange year came to an end, I faced the challenge of selling my car. Communicating with a non-English speaking buyer was tough, and navigating the paperwork and contracts added another layer of complexity. Later, an unexpected accident involving my car occurred when a friend was driving. I initially worried that the insurance wouldn't cover it, but fortunately, State Farm Insurance came through and covered the expenses. Having a car opened up the opportunity for exciting road trips, becoming a highlight of my exchange year. During longer breaks, my friends and I embarked on road adventures. We visited places like Las Vegas, New Mexico, San Francisco, and Arizona, even crossing state lines on one memorable journey. Initially, driving long distances was a challenge, but with practice, I became comfortable driving for up to nine hours a day. These road trips not only enhanced my driving skills but also exposed me to some not-so-great habits, like trying out drifting on the road and exceeding speed limits on the highway. While these experiences were thrilling, I also learned the importance of responsible driving and adhering to road regulations. In retrospect, living off-campus brought a mix of responsibilities, opportunities, and adventures. Overcoming housing challenges, learning to cook, navigating through paperwork, and embracing road trips all contributed to making my exchange year at CSULB an unforgettable and enriching experience.(404字)

Living in a foreign country for a year can be tough because things might feel different. Not just your body adjusting to the new climate, but also your mind facing doubts. Back at home, you could rely on parents and friends for help, but abroad, you'll often be on your own. America is a really interesting place with lots of cultures, languages, and even different ideas about genders. People there are free to express themselves, unlike in Asia where many follow the same ideas. It's a chance to discover who you are, learn about yourself, and treat yourself with respect. During my time at CSULB, I learned many practical things like paying bills, cooking, driving, and dealing with paperwork. These are important skills to have while living abroad. So, my suggestion for my junior sister is to be ready for both the exciting and the challenging parts of studying abroad. It's a great chance to learn and become better, but it's important to be prepared. Studying abroad is an adventure full of opportunities to learn and grow. With the right preparation and a sense of responsibility, I believe my junior sister can have an amazing time and gain a lot from the experience, just like I did at CSULB.(209字)
