(二)課程學習

As an exchange student here in Poland, I find that the course is much easier to get credit. However, university of Warsaw provides courses that are the same as last semester, and the popular course is hard to register. Football in Europe is my favorite and highly recommended course. It provides quota of people, so that the registration is easy. Football is a very popular sport in all European countries. When studying in Europe, the exchange students are almost all from European countries. Knowing more about football can not only have one more topic to talk with other exchange students. In this class, the professor will take you to the Legia stadium to watch the home game of Legia Warsaw, and experience the passion and culture of football in Europe. You can also learn about the history of polish football in class. It is a relaxed and enjoyable class. The classroom is very big with many seat, it’s an Audio- Visual center. The process won't use the microphone while teaching, so the best seat is in the third row where you don't have to look up for better watch the screen, and you can hear the professor clearly. Although there is not much interaction with the professor, you can learn a lot of football knowledge and gossip from the class material. During the exchange in Poland, I was also very lucky to meet the World Cup held every four years. Friends watched football together in the bar, exchanged opinions and talked about politics, gossip, football and other interesting things in various cultural backgrounds. Make me learned a lot new knowledge while relaxing.(273字)

The school campus is very comfortable. As soon as you enter the gate, in front of you it’s the old library. There is a small garden in front of the old library. There are several benches in two rows. You can sit there and enjoy the break time between classes. The new library is a short walk from the main campus, but the library has a very beautiful appearance and a rich collection of books. The disadvantage is that the columns are all in Polish. I rented a room by myself, with a shared kitchen, bathroom and toilet. The location is near the legia stadium. It takes five minutes to walk to the largest park in Warsaw. There are many embassies nearby. It is a relatively safe area in Warsaw. For the weather, summer in Warsaw is very hot. Although it snows in winter, it is not too cold, but it is very dry. People with sensitive noses will often have nosebleeds in summer and runny noses in winter. The life spending are similar in Taiwan, but the types of vegetables and fruits are not as rich as in Taiwan, and the price of fruits is much higher than in Taiwan. There are not many choices of meat parts, especially beef. When it comes to traffic, the traffic in the urban area is quite convenient, and students can directly buy traffic monthly passes. What’s more, students can get 51% off on train tickets, so that you can travel around the city with affordable prices.(255字)

(四)自我成長

In Poland, most of the Poles do not speak English, even middle school and high school students. So the language is the biggest challenge for me. When I encounter some difficulties in shopping or daily life, I use Google Translate to communicate with them. However, most of time, people will ignore you even you have show them with google translate or they will respond in polish. Most of the Poles in my life are really friendly to me, but every country has good people and bad people. When I was in Poland, I encountered a total of three bad things. The first time was being robbed, and the second and third times were all about discrimination. It is recommended that you carry chili water with you to protect yourself in case of danger. Don't create conflict with others when encountering discrimination, and don't think about it over and over again. As long as it is not a physical attack, just let it go. Actually saying is more easier than doing, when I encounter the racist people, the moment I will be shocked and speechless, but later I will be really pissed off, I would like to defense myself which it’s wrong. I learned it from my black friend, according to he said don’t talk those who are racist, they won’t listen to your explanations. The most important thing is, it may be verbal attack at the beginning, if you made them unpleasant, it may be physical later. As a girl, I would say safety first, I tried to avoid conflict for protecting myself. When it comes to cultural shock, there are few things I want to share with. First, in the winter, strong heating is turned on everywhere, and sometimes the bus is so hot that the windows need to be opened, because everyone is wearing heavy down jackets. Even if it is very hot in summer, there is no air-conditioning~ The smell on the transportation means is unforgettable. Also, the fact that Poles don't take a bath every day also shocked me. Some people only take a bath twice a week. And it’s surprised that when the weather is good, there are a lot of people everywhere. In Warsaw, as long as the sun is out, there are people everywhere. It’s different from Taiwan. It's cool to see people bathing naked by the river in the Praga area. I won’t forget the food surprised me the most, traditional sour soup with sausage and boiled eggs! Yes, you heard me, boiled eggs in soups. One more interesting thing, the bus is connected like the MRT. Please see the picture on the right side. (449字)

(五)大三出國建議

No matter where you are, it is essential to buy chili water to protect yourself! If you are shy and introverted, it is not easy to make friends in Europe!!! Opportunities are earned by yourself. Only by participating in school activities, taking the initiative to meet new friends, learning to express opinions in the classroom, etc., can you have the opportunity to teach friends. The reason why many people choose to study in Europe is that they can travel around Europe, but spending more time in your own city and learning more about the town you live in makes it more like studying abroad instead of being a tourist. Spend time with friends on weekends, watch football, stand-up comedies, and exhibitions, participate in the annual Oktoberfest in Warsaw, the annual museum night, etc, it's my life there in Warsaw, that why I am every close to every friend I made in Poland.(152字)
